Rockwell frowned at this part "My downfall? From context I assume my decisions lead me to make a grave error of some sort?" he asked and I nod.
"You play nice with Helena and Mei yin while you are here and even to a degree when you arrive on the next ark of the chain, Aberration. The survivors of that ark however have learnt to harness the power of element for various technologies, armor the most advanced. Your mind begins to be clouded by ambition and paranoia as your experiments with element become more and more unethical and lead to your fall from grace." I say seriously.
"Am I hunted for my actions then? Not all great minds are accepted so that does not surprise me." he said seemingly in agreement with himself that the story was fine so far, not worth changing.
"No." I say shattering that delusion. "Your ambition outstrips your reason and in your hubris you inject yourself with liquid element believing it would make you a god only to turn you into a freakish monstrous puppet. You attack the other survivors before being chased off. In the corrupting pools of element you grow and further mutate becoming the overseer of the aberration ark by default." I say seriously.
"Impossible! I will have to have lost my mind to take such actions." he says in disbelief.
"I told you already. Your isolation led to your downfall. You truly go mad in the pursuit of the secrets of the arks and element with no one to keep your mind grounded. Your final fate is to become a puppet for the corrupted element itself that is consumed with the idea of corrupting all you can, a true monster. The worse part is if you had only stayed with Helena and Mei yin the ascension you so desperately sought could have been yours." I said honestly while finding it ironic.
"It's different now. I know and can avoid the mistakes that I would have made otherwise." he said with a deep thoughtful expression.
"That is my hope as well. For as long as I have known your story I felt it a shame your fate was so bleak. That is enough for now though. I will contact you again in a weeks time to trade items. Will that be enough time for you to procure the eggs?" I asked wanting to bring this contact session to an end.
"For Raptor and the Pulmonoscorpius that is more than enough but I may need more time for the Dimorphodon egg, flying creatures like that can be tricky you understand." he said seriously and I nodded.
"Then I will contact you in a week." I said before closing out the screen and saving him as my second contact.
'That went well I think. I can't wait to get those eggs. Hagrid should have all sorts of valuable and rare things from the forest that I can trade them to him for.' I thought with a grin as I started to do my exercises that I had missed earlier.
Once I was done there I started working on my magic, both with and without a wand. I wanted to make the most of the next two weeks before the official Hogwarts schoolyear started. Right now it was the middle of August and the term started on the first of September so two weeks was my current limit. In this time I had to collect the things Rockwell wanted while studying and practicing my magic. -
I had already gone through all of my first year coursework books and was currently reading through last years second year textbooks. The books don't change normally in any other class besides DADA so finding out what to get was easy. All of that said I had no intention of taking all of these books with me to the school and was currently using my unenchanted trunk to store all my books that weren't going with me. In this case that was the second hand copies I had already memorized and any second or third year textbooks I hadn't memorized by the time school rolled around.-
I went about my day as normal and the next day I set out to collect what Rockwell wanted. The tea leaves were easy to find as tea was an incredibly popular beverage even for the wizarding world so I just walked into a tea shop and bought a few different blends of earl grey since I wasn't sure how Rockwell would like his tea. I even bought an iron kettle for him with a matching set of cups. As for the clothes I simply bought a set of khaki enchanted cotton clothes that were enchanted to keep one cool and resize to fit the wearer snuggly.-
I didn't know his sizes and wasn't going to ask either so this was the best I could do. Still It would fulfil the request more than adequately which was good enough. I didn't just go back to the pub though as I happened to see something quite interesting. There moving through the crowded street of Diagon alley was one Rubeus Hagrid, there was no mistaking him. Massive and covered in a patchwork fur jacket with messy long brown hair and a thick full beard. -
The man towered over the rest of the crowd and was impossible to miss. What had me interested however was the skinny overwhelmed boy trailing beside him. Short brown hair and bright green eyes behind ratty glasses and a distinctive red scar on his forehead, the boy who lived, Harry Potter. I made no move to approach either of them but just watched as Hagrid left Harry at Olivanders. I walked over to Florean Fortescue's ice-cream parlor instead. The place was as cold as expected and fairly busy when I walked in. The bright atmosphere and pretty young witches in skirted uniforms made the place vibrant to say the least.-
"A first time customer, how rare! What can I get for you today?" The older man who owned this place asked with a smile as I walked up to the counter.
"Can I get a single scoop of your strawberry peanut butter on a chocolate dipped cone. Also is it possible for a cone to be sent to the boy who is in Olivander's privately?" I asked and the man looked surprised before just smiling widely.
"Trying to give someone a pleasant surprise are we? All right that'll be two sickles." he said brightly and I just took out the money and paid the bill before heading back to the pub.
