Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: The morning at the farm

(6 hours before)

My day starts like any other day, with the sunlight hitting my face repeatedly, the rooster crowing in the morning and Aunt Effie calling me repeatedly for breakfast.

"Stathi, wake up my boy, it's six o'clock!!"

Right, I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Stathis Karslidis, I'm seventeen and a half years old and a permanent resident of this farm.

The voice you heard just now belongs to my aunt, Effie Karslidou.

Me and my aunt are the only people who lives in this farm

And because of that all the work in the farm is divided between me and my aunt.

So for that reason, I need to get up early and do my part of the farm work.

As I think that, I get up from my bed and say to aunt Effie.

"I'm awake Aunt Effie!!"

As I say that to aunt Effie, I walk out of my bedroom and head for the bathroom to prepare for the day ahead.

After I went to the bathroom, I took a shower to wash my sleepiness away, and now I put on the clothes I use on the farm.

But as I put on my clothes I look at my reflection in the mirror, and every time I do it I honestly want this mirror to disappear, together with my body too.

But no matter how much I want it, the mirror is not disappearing, the same goes for my body too.

The reason I am saying this, it's because what I see in front of the mirror is a obese body, short in height, with short brown hair and brown eyes that show doubt instead of courage.

"Hah….."

As I see my reflection in the mirror, my mind begins to recall all the bad memories I have experienced because of this body.

Because of this body, my life at school was a living hell. I was always the target of bullies, where they constantly made fun of me, calling me "fat ass" or "pig".

And even worse? There wasn't a single day that they didn't beat me up, even if I was away for some reason or they couldn't come, they would beat me up twice the next day.

I tried many times to talk to the teachers and the principals, but every time I did it, they ignored me.

The reason why the teachers ignored me is because the people who bullied me are the sons of important people who have positions in the local government and they didn't want to upset them.

As I recall all those bad memories in my mind, I sight and think.

'But all of that is behind me, from today I will be a university student and I am sure, things will get better from this point on, at least I hope so .'

As I think about all this, I finish getting dressed and go downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast, but when I arrive at the kitchen, my eyes see something that leaves me speechless.
