Chapter 300 - Chapter 298 Three Consecutive Losses, Mangekyou Summoning - Neeko, Kaido's Thought Process

"Fran, what's wrong?"

After the lightning dissipated, Frankenstein picked up his warhammer again. The Thunder Prison Cage was filled with scorched earth and some extra black slag, which looked like the remnants left by some carbon-based creatures after being struck by lightning countless times.

Bear knew Frankenstein's situation and, seeing that the warhammer was intact, naturally knew that she was not injured.

But Frankenstein's expression now resembles that of Ginny after she dropped her half-eaten ice cream on the floor; he looks extremely resentful.

"We lost a lot of money."

"deficit?"

"Um."

Frankenstein has no energy bar; as a growing machine, Oran can't even say what her current energy limit is.

A lightning strike of this magnitude would certainly consume a significant portion of the energy, which isn't a major problem, but Frankenstein sees it as a loss, and this is only the first loss.

The thought of excessive energy consumption would lead to overkill. Previously, the Advance Fruit could extract some blood from the dead, but now, with the scorched earth and the carbonized corpse, even blood residue could not be found.

This is the second loss.

The third loss is that Gamenho's identity is no longer verifiable, making it impossible to exchange him for the bounty with the Navy.

Energy, lineage factors, bounty—after losing three times in a row, Frankenstein didn't even know how much he had lost after rounding up.

After composing himself, Frankenstein reported the news to Oran.

However, Oran didn't think it was a big deal. He just told Absalom and then made a phone call to Leliana, who was still in the New World.

Regardless, Gamenio is still Kaido's subordinate, so Kaido might do something.

Theoretically, that's impossible. None of the sea emperors in the New World are immune to death. If any of their officers were to die, the boss would have to seek revenge. The pirates of the New World wouldn't have to do anything else.

Today Whitebeard fights Kaido, tomorrow Kaido catches up with Charlotte Linlin, and the day after tomorrow Wang Zhi joins in the fun—it'll be a free-for-all between the strongest!

Unfortunately, Kaido is the kind of person who cannot be calculated by common sense, so it's good for Lyriana to be mentally prepared.

If needed, we can go back and find Redfield. It's usually difficult to send him out to sea to target someone individually, but once Frankenstein is involved, the situation changes.

Redfield was happy to go out and talk to others about the incident that had occurred for this reason.

"Brother Oran, have Xiongzi and the others finished their business?"

"Yeah, they should be back soon. The New World is a bit far from here, so even if we use the Paw-Paw Fruit to teleport, it will still take a while to get there."

If anyone could eavesdrop on Oran and Frankenstein's communications, it would only be Ginny. Even Vegapunk would have to spend time researching new communication software to do so.

However, Ginny's principle was not to eavesdrop on her own people's conversations. She didn't know what Oran was saying; she just happened to overhear the topic of bears when she was passing by with her one-year-old daughter Bonnie in her arms.

"How come you have such dark circles under your eyes?"

"The kids are too noisy. It seems little Bonnie didn't inherit much of Bear Cub's genes. I wish she could be as well-behaved as Bear Cub. By the way, Brother Oran, we're out of formula. Does Blitz have any left?"

Bonnie has a big appetite and consumes a lot of formula. She can finish a whole can of formula in a day, and she hasn't grown into a chubby little girl yet.

It seems that Ginny's talent, combined with her Bakania lineage, gives her a unique way of absorbing food.

"Yes, it was recently purchased and made with milk from giant cows. It might be more suitable for her."

The Bakania are rumored to be a race with some giant blood, and the giants' food is not just about being big; tests show that the same food contains more nutrients.

"Okay, I'll go look for it in a bit. When Xiongzai comes back, I'll let him take over. Brother Oran, it must have been really tough raising so many kids."

"It's not as complicated as you think. They are all special, and I got to know them later."

Oran's daughters all had special circumstances. Leliana grew up in a nutrient solution for the first two years, and Perona and Uta were not very young when they were adopted.

However, Oran does have some experience, mainly from practicing at the orphanage in Valoran.

Dreams and reality are more or less connected. It seems that because Frankenstein talked a lot about "chameleons" during the day, Oran came to a special city tonight.

There were quite a few "orcs" scattered throughout the town, and humans like Oran were rare anomalies. Without a doubt, this was a gathering place for Vastaya.

"This doesn't seem like Ionia. Ahri shouldn't be here. Who could it be this time?"

With his eyes closed, Oran sensed the changes around him. He didn't immediately notice the familiar face, but soon he realized there was some commotion in the nearby market, and someone seemed to be chasing something.

In the crowd, a person changed his appearance one after another, eventually escaping the pursuer. From "him", Oran sensed a familiar aura.

"Nico, what are you doing now?"

"Who is Nico? I don't know anything about Nico."

A burly man, over two meters tall, refuted Oran's words, though he spoke with a slight lisp.

"Your accent gave you away, Nico. Don't forget, I can sense your smoldering."

"Nico doesn't have a lisp; this is Nico's dialect. I just don't know her well enough to imitate her perfectly."

The burly man, who was over two meters tall, spoke in a voice like a little girl and pulled Oran toward a side alley.

Here, "his" form begins to change, transforming into a girl with blue-purple hair, colorful freckles on her cheeks, and a large tail hanging behind her.

Kaleidoscope - Nico.

Neeko's homeland is a mysterious, isolated island in the eastern part of the world of Valoran.

Her race is known as the Misttail, a member of the Vastaya, a peace-loving race whose racial talents make them extremely powerful in the spiritual realm.

The Misttails call their souls "Shoma," and their Shoma can merge with the creatures around them, mimicking their appearance. Neeko is one of them.

However, this peace did not last long, and disaster still shrouded the land. Thanks to the self-sacrifice of the elders of the Fogtail tribe, Nico escaped her homeland with her agility and survived the disaster.

The series of escapes left Nico exhausted, and she finally plunged into the sea, clinging to a piece of driftwood for several days. Just then, she encountered a ship from Oran returning to Piltover after making a secret deal in Ixtal.

Seeing that someone was in distress, they pulled Nicole out of the water.

Because of the compatibility issues with the Sholma, there are no secrets among the Misttail tribe, and Neeko still judges the situation of others based on Sholma.

At Oran, she sensed an unprecedentedly vast Shuma, even more powerful than the Shuma that had formed when the tribes had merged.

Because of her personality, Neeko quickly integrated into the group and even lived in human society for a period of time, but eventually returned to the land of Ixtal because of her tribe.

Oran hadn't seen her for a while.

"Wow, your Shoma seems to have gotten even bigger. I've never seen such a big Shoma before."

Nico has been feeling something different lately; the city and the fields are calling to her. Would you like to go with Nico?

In Neeko's mind, ordinary human Ōma could not be so powerful, nor would she feel any affinity for them. She believed that Oran might also be related to the ancestors of her ancestors, those ancient Vastaya.

"If you had asked me before, I would have been happy to explore the unknown, but not now."

"Indeed, you're completely like Shuoma right now. Are you dreaming again?"

"Yes, and it's quite far from here."

That's such a pity.

The past is gone and can never be returned, but Nicole has a very magical dream in her heart.

The Vastaya, Yordles, humans, and any other creatures who share the same dream formed a much larger tribe.

Everyone has their place in this tribe, and they are all willing to do their best to protect others.

In this respect, she and Charlotte Linlin share some similar ideas.

"Nedley also rejected Neeko, it seems Neeko will have to go by herself."

"Can you still find your way?"

"Of course you can. Why are you staring at Nico's tail?"

Nico suddenly noticed that Oran's expression was off and that he was staring at her from behind her tail.

"Nico, I remember your tail changes, right?"

"Yes, this is already Nico's fourth tail."

"Well, I think it's okay to take a small amount of epidermal tissue from it now, right?"

The latest research project is still on the mimicry evolution of the void, and although the changes of the Misttail Clan are inseparable from the soul, their bodies are also special.

Oran can't take the things away, but he can still study them here. This is his dream, and he can use his spiritual energy to create some equipment.

Nico plucked a tiny bit of something from the end of the tail. Although that part didn't feel pain, Nico still felt something was off.

However, Oran's research has made some breakthroughs through the analysis of the Misttail Clan.

Previously, the progress was only a few tenths of a percent, or even a fraction of a percent, but this time it has increased by 5%.

A few days after Oran's dream disappeared, Kaido on Onigashima also received news of Gamenemo's death.

Kaido, who had just been drinking, suddenly burst into tears, his tears even wetting the head of the henchman who was pouring drinks.

"Waaaaah! What a pity, you died just like that, but there's nothing we can do about it, you were just too weak! If only you were stronger."

"Hehehe, but this way, I can finally stretch my legs a bit!"

Kaido, who had just been crying, suddenly slammed his gourd of sake down on the ground and began slapping the ground while laughing loudly.

The pirates nearby began to quietly retreat into the distance. Pouring wine for Kaido was a dangerous thing; if Kaido was in a bad mood, he might just hit them with his club.

In the end, only King, who delivered the news of Gameneo's death, could stand calmly in front of Kaido.

"Brother Kaido, didn't you say before that you wouldn't care about the trouble that guy caused? And it seems he's gone to cause trouble with the people of Piltover again."

"Hehehe, Jin, you've misunderstood. It has nothing to do with that kid. It's not worth me avenging a weakling who died out there."

I just wanted to fight someone. He was someone who fought Whitebeard more than a year ago, and his abilities were very similar to mine.

It would be a waste not to fight such an opponent.

Wiping the wine from his lips, Kaido revealed his true thoughts: of the vast Beasts, only King and Queen were his true confidants; the others were far inferior.

"Brother Kaido, what about before?"

"That potion is unique, and if we start fighting over it, it won't sell well, right? But this opportunity has just fallen into our laps! I heard that girl is active in the New World recently, I have to go check it out, hehehe!"

With a burst of laughter, the azure dragon soared into the sky and flew off in an unknown direction.
