Kyoto Racecourse buzzes with over 150,000 spectators, drawn not just for the G1 Elizabeth Hai but for its stellar lineup: Mejiro Rampage, the undefeated eleven-crown champion; Ikuno Dictus, her fiercest rival; and Triple Tiara winner Twin Turbo. A Canopus showdown looms.
"Today's G1 Elizabeth Hai!" announcer Akasaka booms. "Over 150,000 fans pack Kyoto for an epic clash!"
Nature scans the racing paper. Rampage, unbeaten, is the top favorite, followed by Turbo, with Ikuno surprisingly third. "Freshness factor, maybe?" she muses.
"Who's winning, Trainer?" Nature asks.
"I'm cheering for all," he replies.
"Big Sister," Rice says.
"Turbo-senpai!" another cheers.
"Ikuno," Nature adds.
The team's predictions split. They know each other's tactics inside out, making Rampage's straightforward style tricky—but she hides a bold trump card.
"Soon we'll see," Trainer says.
"Gate-in time!" Akasaka shouts. "Who'll claim the Elizabeth Hai under the Rising Sun and Union Jack? Third favorite Ikuno Dictus, fresh off her Yasuda Kinen G1 win, aims to topple Rampage! Second favorite Twin Turbo, Triple Tiara queen, promises a big escape duel! And top favorite, undefeated Mejiro Rampage—will she prove unbeatable in this Canopus clash? Gates closed—START!"
The race begins. Turbo and Rampage surge ahead, Ikuno trailing precisely.
"Turbo and Rampage blast off!" Akasaka yells. "A big escape showdown! Ikuno follows with machine-like precision!"
"Turbo full throttle!" Turbo shouts.
"Crazy pace from the start—perfectly mastered!" Rampage grins.
"Here we go," Ikuno mutters.
Turbo nails her Shuka Sho-style True Dokkan Turbo, leading confidently. Rampage trails in second, Ikuno conserving energy behind.
"Can Turbo sustain this blistering pace?" Akasaka wonders. "Rampage and Ikuno stick close, unfazed, ten lengths ahead of the pack!"
"Ten lengths already?" a spectator gasps.
"Insane!" another cries.
The trio's lead is unreal. Ikuno's likely marking, not escaping, but to others, it's three big escapes. At 1,000m, no one slows.
"1,000m in 57.2!" Akasaka announces. "Faster than Turbo's Shuka Sho 57.5! She's grown, but Rampage and Ikuno match her!"
At Yodo's slope, Rampage accelerates. "Rampage powers up the hill!" Akasaka roars. "Ikuno follows! They're closing on Turbo!"
Turbo knew they'd strike here. Rampage, trained with heavier Shinzan iron, and Ikuno, with honed power, dominate hills.
"Let's go, Turbo!" Rampage shouts.
"Got you!" Ikuno adds.
"Ugh!" Turbo grits.
"Before the fourth corner, Rampage and Ikuno catch Turbo!" Akasaka yells. "Gran Louvre, Rin Rin Lily, and Mejiro Tiffany chase, seven lengths back! The trio hits the straight—who'll claim the crown?"
Ignoring the pack, the three charge. Turbo tries a final burst.
"DARYAAA!" she roars.
"Turbo accelerates!" Akasaka cries. "Her Shuka Sho double-boost—oh! Rampage and Ikuno match it! No gap!"
"Timing… off!" Turbo groans.
"Worth hyping you up!" Rampage laughs.
"As planned," Ikuno says.
Years of racing together taught Rampage and Ikuno Turbo's weakness: her stamina-draining style needs perfect timing. Disrupt it, and her Dokkan Turbo fizzles.
"My legs are still fresh—keep up!" Rampage taunts.
"Rampage surges ahead!" Akasaka shouts. "Turbo's lead ends! Is the undefeated queen unstoppable? Ikuno closes in!"
"Today, I win!" Ikuno vows.
"Turbo's not done!" Turbo grits.
"Turbo struggles, Ikuno overtakes!" Akasaka calls. "Ikuno narrows Rampage's lead to one length!"
"Here I go!" Ikuno pushes.
"No way—I'm running for my dreams!" Rampage declares, lowering her stance, syncing her body. Each step tears the turf, shocking Ikuno.
"Rampage stretches her lead!" Akasaka roars. "A queen's run! Mejiro Rampage crosses first, defending her Elizabeth Hai crown! Ikuno second, Turbo third, Gran Louvre fourth by a length!"
"Her running's nearing perfection… a worthy challenge," Ikuno smiles, proud yet determined to dethrone Rampage next time.
