Kyrian remained silent, staring back at them.
The silence was broken by a whisper. Then another.
Soon the voices grew louder.
"He took the herb…!"
"It's in his spatial ring…"
"Kill him!"
And then the crowd, once divided and distrustful, now had a single target.
Chaos followed immediately.
The first to charge at Kyrian were the most impatient. Young and weaker cultivators in the late stages of Qi Accumulation, along with some who had just stepped into the Qi Liberation Realm. Their eyes burned red with greed, their techniques already condensed in their hands.
They dashed across the floor of the ravine, unleashing roars and promises of death, each one trying to be the first to bring down Kyrian, who had taken the treasure.
The stronger ones, however, did not move.
The old man at the peak of Qi Liberation did not even take a step. His deep gaze observed in silence. Like him, other elders and experienced cultivators remained still.
