"Oh, I see!" The referee did not think too much about it and immediately announced, "Then let the match between Zarek and Mr. Satan begin!"
"Come on," Zarek said.
Mr. Satan nodded carefully, then lowered his voice. "I'm starting now."
"Stop stalling. Keep wasting time and I'll kill you," Zarek said.
Mr. Satan wanted to cry.
You took forever when you were asking for money, and I didn't complain.
"Aaaaaah!"
Mr. Satan charged forward and punched Zarek hard in the forehead.
Zarek did not move.
Mr. Satan felt like he had punched a block of iron. His hand throbbed so badly that his face twisted in pain.
"That's your attack?" Zarek snorted.
Mr. Satan went silent.
Then Zarek suddenly screamed, flew backward, and fell out of the ring.
The crowd froze for a second, then exploded into cheers.
"Mr. Satan! Mr. Satan! Mr. Satan!"
The audience shouted their hero's name.
Mr. Satan finally breathed a little easier.
That three hundred million wasn't wasted.
Then he thought about the money again, and his heart hurt.
"Out of the ring! Mr. Satan wins!" the referee announced with a smile. "As expected of Mr. Satan! Even against a boy as strong as Zarek, he still knocked him away with one punch!"
Zarek calmly got up and walked out.
Goten quickly chased after him.
A staff member came over with two envelopes and stopped in front of Zarek and Goten.
"These are your prizes. Ten million for first place, five million for second," the staff member said, handing them over.
Zarek took both envelopes without the slightest hesitation.
"Zarek, that one's mine," Goten said quickly.
"Zarek, that prize money belongs to Goten," the staff member added.
"I'm his real uncle. What's wrong with me taking his money?" Zarek said confidently.
The staff member had no idea how to answer that.
"What does a little kid need that much money for? I'll hold onto it for you," Zarek said, patting Goten on the shoulder.
Goten went silent.
The staff member went silent too.
"Great. Glad that's settled." Zarek grinned and walked off.
Goten was completely speechless.
Why did you take my money too?
Trunks ran over as well, staring at the prize money in Zarek's hand with envy.
"Zarek, since you got so much money, take us out to have fun," Trunks suggested.
"Yeah, Zarek. I want to go to an amusement park, and I want to buy toys," Goten said.
"I'm saving this money for your future wedding," Zarek said to Goten with a serious little face.
As for Trunks, Zarek ignored him completely.
What does this have to do with you?
This money belongs to me and Goten.
Goten went silent.
"I don't want a wife. I want toys," Goten said stubbornly.
…
"Before the Adult Division begins, we'll take a one-hour break and repair the ring," the referee announced. "The highly anticipated Adult Division will officially begin at two o'clock this afternoon!"
"A break?" Goku muttered.
"Let's get something to eat first," Gohan suggested.
Goku had no objection.
Everyone left the arena together and headed toward the contestants' area.
"Sorry, only fighters who passed the preliminaries may enter," a staff member said, stepping forward to stop them.
"The preliminary results are already out, right? I think all of us passed," Krillin said with a smile.
"Oh? Please give me your names." The staff member took out the list.
Goku and the others gave their names one by one.
"Yes, all of you passed the preliminaries. Please go that way," the staff member said, pointing down a path. Then he added, "The drawing ceremony starts at 1:50."
Goku and the others continued ahead.
"Other than our group, it doesn't look like there are any real strong fighters. The prize money should be ours," Krillin said, still hoping for a payout.
After all, from Krillin's point of view, Goku and the others were strong, but they might draw each other.
Goku and Vegeta might end up fighting each other.
Kale and Gohan might draw each other too.
If Krillin got lucky and drew a normal person, he still had a chance at the prize money.
And there were still Android 21 and Android 16 on his side.
That made their chances even better.
…
At the same time, Zarek noticed a masked fighter standing inside the preliminary venue.
Trunks's eyes lit up, and he was just about to speak when Zarek beat him to it.
"Goten, look at that masked guy over there."
Goten stretched his neck to look, then burst out laughing. "Hahaha! What a weird masked guy."
"If he's standing there, that means he passed the preliminaries," Zarek said. "Goten, we can make use of him. With that outfit, nobody will know it's us."
Trunks went silent.
That was exactly what I wanted to say.
You thought of the same thing!
"Oh? What are you planning, Zarek?" Goten asked.
"Simple. I use Hakai to erase him, then we wear his clothes and enter the tournament as him," Zarek said with a grin.
"No, you can't do that!" Goten panicked. "Zarek, don't do that."
"If you erase him, won't his clothes disappear too?" Trunks corrected him from the side.
"You've got a point. Fine, I'll just knock him out. Lucky him," Zarek snorted.
"I don't think that's okay either…" Goten said, quietly sweating.
"Don't you want to fight in the Adult Division?" Zarek asked.
"But…" Goten hesitated.
"I want to fight in the Adult Division. I'll do it," Trunks volunteered.
After saying that, Trunks ran straight toward the masked fighter.
"Hey," Trunks said, walking up to him.
"What? Do you want an autograph?" the masked fighter asked flatly.
"There's a pretty girl over there who wants your contact info," Trunks said, pointing outside. "She's shy, so she asked me to bring you over."
"Really? Where?" the masked fighter immediately got excited.
"Come with me." Trunks grabbed his hand and dragged him outside.
"Where is she? Is she really pretty? I'm very picky, you know," the masked fighter said, looking around with growing excitement.
Bang!
Trunks struck him hard with his palm and knocked him out.
Zarek walked over and kicked the masked fighter into the bushes.
Trunks then stripped off the man's outfit.
"Zarek, our bodies are too small. How are we supposed to wear this?" Goten asked.
"Obviously, all three of us wear it together," Zarek said.
"All three of us?" Goten stared at him. "How?"
"We stack," Zarek said. "I wasn't planning to bring Trunks, but he helped this time, so we'll let him join."
"I think I'll sit this one out. You two can go," Goten said, shaking his head.
"Do you want your allowance back or not?" Zarek asked, waving the prize money in his hand.
"Fine… I'll do it," Goten said with a troubled face.
Goten stood at the bottom. Trunks sat on Goten's shoulders. Zarek sat on Trunks's shoulders. Once they put on the masked fighter's outfit, it covered all three of them, and at a glance, it really was hard to tell.
"Perfect. It fits great. Nobody will notice!" Zarek pointed ahead. "Move out!"
Tap, tap, tap!
Goten started running in one direction.
"Wrong way," Zarek said quickly.
…
Meanwhile, Goku and the others were eating at the restaurant.
Goku was stuffing his face, his mouth shiny with oil.
"Hey, is it okay to eat that much?" Krillin asked.
"I haven't eaten food here in forever. It's so good," Goku said, smacking his lips.
"So in Future Trunks's timeline, you were training with the Supreme Kai the whole time?" Krillin asked.
"Yeah," Goku said with a nod.
Vegeta glanced at Goku, said nothing, and kept eating.
"What did you learn?" Krillin asked.
"A lot," Goku said, not going into detail.
"You're something else now. That Time Ring lets you travel through time whenever you want, right?" Krillin asked, looking enviously at the ring on Goku's hand.
"Not really." Goku shook his head. "Traveling through time without permission is a serious crime."
"Huh? That's a thing?" Krillin froze.
"I'll explain it later," Goku said with a smile.
After they finished eating, Goku and the others left the restaurant and stepped outside.
They had not gone far when two people appeared in front of them.
One was tall, and the other was short. The shorter one floated in the air and had silver-white hair.
Goku recognized them right away from their clothes.
Vegeta and the others also felt the outfits looked familiar, as if they had seen them somewhere before.
"Hello, everyone. You're Son Goku, right?" the Supreme Kai asked with a smile.
"Are you a Supreme Kai?" Goku paused, then stepped forward to greet him.
The Supreme Kai went silent.
He figured it out that easily?
I thought my identity was supposed to be hidden.
"Y-Yes," the Supreme Kai said with a nod. "How did you know I was a Supreme Kai?"
"I could tell right away. It's pretty easy to recognize," Goku said with a laugh. "Which universe are you from?"
The Supreme Kai froze.
Kibito froze too.
Both of them looked completely lost.
Which universe?
Why is he asking something so weird again?
"I know. That person named Ken, and Merus too. They told you, didn't they?" the Supreme Kai quickly realized.
"You know Ken and Merus?" Goku asked politely.
"Of course. There's nothing I don't know!" the Supreme Kai said proudly.
"Then how come you don't know which universe you're the Supreme Kai of?" Goku asked, scratching his head.
The Supreme Kai went quiet, taking the hit straight to the heart.
Does this guy know how to talk to people?
"You're definitely not the Supreme Kai of our universe," Goku added.
"Your universe? So your universe and our universe aren't even the same one?" the Supreme Kai asked, rolling his eyes.
"I guess not," Goku replied.
"Then which universe is this?" the Supreme Kai asked.
"This is Universe 6… Well, we originally belonged to Universe 7, but later we got moved to Universe 6," Goku explained.
"I don't care which universe you're from. I know everything about you," the Supreme Kai said with a small whistle and a proud snort.
"Then do you know I'm going to become a Supreme Kai in the future?" Goku asked, scratching his head.
The Supreme Kai's eyes widened. He looked completely lost.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Who told you that you'd become a Supreme Kai?" Kibito finally snapped at Goku.
"Well… Ken told me," Goku answered honestly.
"What gives that man the right to appoint a Supreme Kai whenever he wants?" Kibito said, his face dark with anger.
"I think he does have that right…" Goku replied.
"Don't you know? Only the Supreme Kai has the authority to appoint the next Supreme Kai!" Kibito corrected him seriously.
"Really? Is that how it works in your universe?" Goku asked calmly.
The Supreme Kai and Kibito both felt like they were not even having the same conversation as Goku.
"Enough, Kibito. There's no point arguing," the Supreme Kai said, shaking his head. He signaled for Kibito to stop, then stepped forward and patted Goku on the shoulder. "I've always wanted to spar with you. I passed the preliminaries too. If we draw each other, that would be wonderful. I'm looking forward to it."
"Uh, all right. I'd like to fight another Supreme Kai too," Goku said with a nod.
"Then I'll see you later." The Supreme Kai waved and left with Kibito.
Goku and the others watched them go, then looked at one another.
"Goku, which universe do you think they're from?" Piccolo asked.
"Ken once told me that if I met a Supreme Kai who seemed kind of dumb, there was a good chance he came from Universe 7," Goku said, holding his chin as he thought.
"Universe 7… So our old universe," Piccolo said with a nod.
"Hmph. What is Universe 7's Supreme Kai doing on Earth?" Vegeta snorted, clearly annoyed.
"I don't know. Maybe he came to visit?" Goku guessed.
"Good. As a future God of Destruction, I'd like to see how strong this dumb Supreme Kai really is," Vegeta said, looking pleased with himself.
