Chapter 311 - Chapter 311: The Might of the psyker titan

The Gravity Ray swept across the entire battlefield like the scythe of death, distorting space in its wake.

Any target caught by the eerie green beam, whether it was a high-speed maneuvering Destroyer or a towering Blackstone Obelisk, instantly underwent terrifying deformation.

Their metallic shells shrieked with a grating sound, as if squeezed by an invisible giant hand, rapidly collapsing and deforming under immense gravitational force, ultimately being compressed into twisted metal spheres.

These war machines, once so fearsome, were now kneaded like clay in a child's hand.

When the gravity reached its critical point, they shattered like toys crushed by an angry child, turning into twisted scrap metal amidst a cacophony of tearing metal.

Although the Necrons are renowned for their technological prowess far beyond human comprehension, shield systems capable of resisting this level of gravity weapon are clearly not universal for every combat unit.

While Necron technology is powerful, strong Necron units can withstand Gravity Ray attacks, but it's clear that even the Necrons haven't reached the point where they can equip every Necron Warrior or vehicle with shields capable of resisting the Gravity Ray.

Moreover, even with shields, the power output of the energy cores of individual combat units like Necron Warriors or Destroyers is far from sufficient to counter the main weapon output of a War Master-Class Titan.

In fact, on a battlefield of this scale, units capable of directly confronting a Titan are few and far between.

Even those classified as war beasts or Titans must maintain extreme vigilance when facing a War Master-Class Titan.

One tactical error could result in their obliteration under the devastating firepower of a War Master-Class Titan.

(Data from the 9th Edition Warmaster, a 10th Edition Warmaster is 3500 points)

Only units of the same class can counter a Titan.

And the psyker titan on the battlefield at this moment possesses destructive power far exceeding conventional models.

When Alex unleashed Psyker lightning, the entire battlefield instantly transformed into an inferno.

The long-brewing Psyker storm finally arrived, dyeing the airspace within a fifty-kilometer radius a bizarre purplish-red.

Tens of thousands of lightning bolts poured down from the dark clouds, exploding into countless dazzling plasma sparks on the metallic surface.

This deadly energy originated from six powerful Psykers within the Titan's Psyker combustion chamber; their Psyker power was extracted and amplified through the Ciricrux Anima Psyker conversion device, ultimately transforming into this destructive lightning storm.

Every lightning strike contained terrifying energy capable of vaporizing steel, as Necron combat units continuously exploded in the electric light, melting into bubbling pools of molten metal.

Although this indiscriminate area attack consumed a vast amount of energy, it was undoubtedly the most efficient way to clear out the tide of Necron fodder.

Wherever the Psyker lightning storm passed, swathes of Necron Warriors turned into boiling molten metal, and even the ground beneath them was scorched into glassy crystals.

While such a destructive strike rapidly depleted the Titan's energy reserves, its efficiency in clearing out endless low-level units was clearly more in line with Alex's needs than individual target firing.

He had no interest, nor any need, to waste too much time on these low-level combat units.

These Necron fodder were mere cannon fodder, not even worthy of his serious attention.

The real battle should be against those behemoths capable of shaking the battlefield, not wasting energy on these ants.

After clearing a section of the battlefield, Alex did not halt his advance; on the contrary, he felt as if he had just begun to warm up.

The Titan's engines roared, its massive metallic limbs crushing the ground, each step making the earth tremble.

His fighting spirit was rising, craving a battle that would truly allow him to go all out.

"I wonder if there's anything more exciting on this Necron planet. Otherwise, it would be a shame to have spent so many points to drop in a Titan without a worthy opponent," Alex muttered softly, seemingly feeling that crushing fodder was a waste of this precious Psyker Warmaster Titan's power.

He wanted a truly exhilarating fight, an opponent that could make him genuinely feel threatened.

Preferably a Titan-class unit like a Doom Scythe, to let him experience the pinnacle of Necron technology; a Magnificent Stone wouldn't be out of the question either, as such ancient war machines could shake the very earth; he even wanted to try and see if he could defeat a star god shard—those terrifying entities that once devoured stars, which, even as fragments, possessed planet-destroying power.

He thought that if he could decapitate a star god shard, it would undoubtedly be a heroic feat worth remembering and glorifying…

"Slap!"

Suddenly, another Psyker slap struck him, bringing Alex's mind to a sudden clarity.

"Damn it, have the Khorne dog-heads got me too? What's going on? Have those two filthy bastards, Khorne and Slaanesh, found me?" Alex cursed, but then immediately became extremely cautious.

Chaos corruption is pervasive, especially for an entity like him, who was wantonly unleashing power on the battlefield, making him more likely to attract the attention of the Chaos Gods.

Khorne favors bloodthirsty warriors, while Slaanesh covets souls that seek extreme pleasure.

And now, he seemed to have been targeted.

Although his true body and soul had not truly entered this world, if he were to be corrupted or even fall in this world, no one knew what might happen in the 3k era.

Even if it only affected his mental state, it would be very troubling for Alex.

After all, he didn't want to return to the real world as a madman obsessed only with slaughter or debauchery.

Although in the 3k era, being warlike or lustful wasn't too severe a problem, it still felt disgusting, like being fed excrement.

He had to remain vigilant, otherwise, once infiltrated by the power of Chaos, the consequences would be unimaginable.

"Emperor protect me from being fed shit by those four bastards!" Alex prayed softly, secretly vowing that he would go to Ecclesiarchy churches more often for worship later. In this world, to avoid being entangled by those four Chaos Gods, one could only worship another god.

Although the Emperor was often inhumane, he truly loved humanity, and worshiping him was genuinely effective, and the more devout, the more effective.

As Alex thought this, he used the Titan's augury array to scan the entire battlefield, searching for any remaining enemies.

At this moment, Alex, though still feeling unfulfilled, had stopped his advance.

Without the ignited, boiling fighting spirit, Alex now appeared much calmer, refraining from the reckless act of single-handedly charging into the Necron lines, despite the power of the Psyker Warmaster Titan.
