Returning to the 40k era, Alex's mind was still preoccupied with the abnormalities in the Star Sector Capital that 32 and Mai Mai had mentioned to him earlier.
Although the Mariupol Sector appeared to have quelled the Chaos cult rebellion and restored its former order, Alex keenly sensed that unsettling undercurrents still lurked beneath this seemingly calm surface.
To thoroughly uncover the truth, Alex decided to take proactive measures.
He personally drafted an encrypted official letter and dispatched his Black Ship specifically to the Inquisition headquarters in the Star Sector Capital.
In this letter, acting as an Inquisitor, he formally requested access to all classified archives related to the recent rebellion, specifically emphasizing the need for detailed intelligence concerning the Daemon Prince Tzanazte and The Unseen Brotherhood.
Alex knew full well that the Inquisition's internal hierarchy was rigid, and much critical information was classified as top secret, but he still hoped to obtain some valuable clues through his special authority.
While 32 and Mai Mai could timely inform him of the situation in the Star Sector Capital, they lacked formal Inquisition status and thus could not access many core secrets.
Even if they negotiated with the Inquisition under Alex's name, the information they could obtain was limited to publicly available data.
Those truly important secrets—such as prophecies about the Daemon Prince, details of ancient Chaos rituals, or infiltration plans of high-level heretical organizations—were often accessible only to a select few senior Inquisitors.
Alex was well aware that to uncover the deeper conspiracy behind the Star District rebellion, he had to personally intervene in the investigation.
After sending the official letter, Alex did not hold much hope.
He understood that the Inquisition's response might be indefinitely delayed, or perhaps even no response at all.
But he still believed this action was necessary, at least to make the Inquisition aware of his high level of concern for the matter, thereby subtly exerting pressure and urging them to accelerate their investigation.
At the same time, Alex's attention quickly returned to the war on the Rostov front.
During the period he was busy with 3k era affairs, the Sub-Sector's development continued steadily.
The construction plan for Rostov II was nearing completion, the third section of the Orbital Ring framework was about to be finished, and planetary-scale forge factories were operating at full capacity, continuously supplying the front lines with various materials.
However, the Expeditionary Force's combat situation became increasingly complex—the chaotic battle between the Necrons and the Orks was still ongoing, and what was more concerning was that the Orks were rapidly evolving in combat.
Alex knew that a new strategic plan had to be formulated quickly, otherwise, once the Orks fully absorbed Necrons technology, the entire battle situation would completely spiral out of control.
These barbaric Orks already constantly evolved in combat; if they were to gain the advanced technology of a Necron Dynasty, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Fortunately, he had already arranged for a new combat plan to be drawn up earlier.
During this time, the three Commanders, Sigismund, Loken, and Ventanus, had worked together to complete the preliminary preparations.
The Expeditionary Force's troops had been reorganized and resupplied, and new tactical deployments were in place, ready to launch an attack at any moment.
But just before Alex was about to issue the attack order, an unexpected visitor stopped him.
Looking at the Aeldari Farseer, who was two heads taller than him and almost the same height as an Astartes Warrior, Alex slightly frowned.
A faint psychic fluctuation emanated from her, and an elusive light shimmered in her narrow eyes.
"You mean…" Alex asked noncommittally, his voice calm but with scrutiny, "If I launch an attack now, the Necrons will release their imprisoned star god shard, then crush the Orks and overturn the entire Sub-Sector?"
"Yes, Human Governor." The Aeldari Farseer replied in fluent High Gothic.
To Alex's surprise, she did not display the usual arrogance common among the Aeldari; instead, she looked at him with a gaze that held scrutiny mixed with a hint of reverence.
Even more noteworthy, Alex keenly noticed a subtle, hard-to-detect curiosity hidden deep within those alien eyes.
This puzzled him—he didn't understand why an Aeldari Farseer he had never met would look at him with such an expression.
However, at present, her warning was clearly more important than exploring her attitude.
"I need more detailed intelligence." Alex said directly, his voice carrying an undeniable firmness, "Regarding the specific situation of this star god shard."
"Of course, that is precisely why I am here." The Aeldari Farseer nodded affirmatively, then extended a hand towards Alex.
Pale blue psychic glow began to emerge on her palm, outlining mysterious runic trajectories in the air.
As if fearing Alex's misunderstanding, she specifically explained, "I will use my psychic powers to show you the prophecies my race has seen; please do not misunderstand."
Her tone contained a rare hint of caution, which was unusual for the typically proud Aeldari.
Alex nodded, relaxed his mental defenses, and allowed the Farseer to proceed.
The next second, fragmented yet shocking images surged into his consciousness like a tide.
Although these images were fragmented, the information conveyed was exceptionally clear: a colossal humanoid creature, burning, broke free from the confines of a hyper-dimensional labyrinth, manifesting above Kiev Star, incinerating everything in its path…
Kiev Star and the Ork battle moon shattered in a violent collision, and from the dust of destruction, a brilliant star comparable to a supernova was born…
Planets across the entire Rostov Sub-Sector were ignited one after another, as a star god in the void summoned its torn fragments, gradually restoring itself to completeness…
There was even the terrifying scene of Rostov II being burned to scorched earth, with Alex himself standing in the ruins, roaring at the monstrous entity in the sky…
Such a massive amount of information made Alex feel dizzy; he had to press his temples and shake his head to recover from the prophetic impact.
When he spoke again, his voice had become hoarse: "Why is this star god shard released by the Necron Dynasty so terrifying? It's almost as if the Burning One has directly resurrected!"
Alex could, of course, recognize what that star god was, and he could understand what the images he saw meant, but he couldn't comprehend why things had become this way.
The Aeldari Farseer's gaze became exceptionally complex; she hesitated for a moment before replying, "The specific reasons are very complicated…"
She paused, seemingly choosing her words carefully: "To explain it in your human language, your appearance has interfered with the trajectory of destiny, causing everything to change."
At this point, her voice became even lower, almost squeezed out between her teeth for the latter half of the sentence: "Even the destiny of my race has been affected."
