A moment later, the source of that voice appeared at the cave entrance.
Mu Lihua, Su Qinglan's so-called mother, marched in without a care, her messy hair hanging around her shoulders. Her face was twisted into a sneer as she looked at the food laid out before everyone.
"Wow," she said with narrowed eyes. "So much food. You didn't even think to call your mother, huh?"
Before anyone could stop her, she shoved her dirty hand straight into the big bowl and stuffed a handful into her mouth.
The sound of her chewing echoed in the quiet cave.
Su Qinglan's eyes darkened instantly. Without thinking, she lifted her chopsticks and smacked the woman's hand away.
"Mother is really something," she said coldly, sarcasm dripping from every word. "You didn't even wash before eating, and you dare to stick your filthy hand in someone else's bowl? Aren't you afraid you'll get worms in your stomach?"
Mu Lihua's face twisted even more, turning red with rage. "You little bitch!" she shouted.
