Su Qinglan hopped off the dolphin's back into the shallow, crystal-clear water. Shi Feng followed close behind her.
Before the dolphin left, it nudged Su Qinglan's hand with a soft squeal. She smiled, her palms glowing with a soft green energy.
As the dolphin absorbed the power, it gave a happy leap and swam back into the deep blue.
The vines that had acted as their reins withered away into the sand, leaving Shi Feng in utter awe of the scene. He waded out of the water, reaching out to take Su Qinglan's hand as they stepped onto the dry beach.
"Did we come here to meet someone?" he asked, still looking suspiciously at the small cave, which doesn't look like a cave at all.
Su Qinglan shook her head, a proud grin spreading across her face. "No. There is no one else here."
"Then... whose cave is that?"
"It's ours," she said loudly, gesturing toward the small structure.
