Su Qinglan stepped out of the wooden house and instinctively wrapped her arms around herself.
A cold breeze brushed past her cheeks. The chill was not strong yet, but it was enough to make her shiver.
She looked toward the distant mountains, and for some reason, a strange feeling crept into her heart. It was as though winter was quietly approaching from afar, bringing with it an invisible chill that settled over the land.
Suddenly, a warm fur cloak was draped over her shoulders. The familiar warmth instantly surrounded her body.
Su Qinglan unconsciously snuggled into it before turning around. Shi Feng was standing behind her. A gentle smile rested on his face.
"The weather is getting colder," Shi Feng said softly. "It won't be long before winter arrives."
Su Qinglan looked at the gray sky in the distance before nodding.
"Yes."
Winter was coming. The signs were already obvious. The mornings were colder than before. The winds carried less warmth.
