What went wrong?
Thanos was filled with a sense of unease. After a moment of thought, he said to Ebony Maw, "Gather your strength and collect all the information about the Asgardian rebellion. I want to know every detail."
"Yes, Father," Ebony Maw replied humbly before turning to execute the order.
Thanos was left alone in the vast, dark chamber, a cold glint in his eyes. "No one will stand in the way of my plan."
In the Asgardian galactic plane, the war between Odin and the Serpent had reached its most critical moment. The war didn't last long, primarily because Odin was relentless. His accelerated aging wasn't due to his physical years, but because the immense power of the Odin Force within him was growing faster than his body could contain. He had to constantly suppress this power.
Because of this, Odin rarely engaged in direct combat. Using this tremendous power placed a heavy burden on his body, directly accelerating his countdown to death. In fact, Odin would never have taken action unless absolutely necessary, because his very existence was a constant deterrent to the top civilizations outside of Asgard. He needed to buy time for Thor and Loki to mature.
The situation was different now. Leon's appearance and their silent alliance meant that Asgard was no longer alone. With an ally, the external threats were held in check, giving Thor and Loki more time to grow. Odin had always believed that his sons would one day become even better kings than he was. But they were still too young and immature.
With his worries now gone, Odin could finally unleash his full power. Thor's personality was a perfect reflection of Odin's in his youth. The All-Father had been even more arrogant and aggressive than Thor. He had once swept through the universe, conquering all who stood in his way and even waging war against the Celestials. These were all deeds of the younger Odin. In his opinion, Thor's experiences over the years were child's play in comparison.
For the sake of Asgard, Odin had restrained himself. But now, he once again displayed the demeanor of a true All-Father. His divine power was even more terrifying than it had been in his prime. He beat the Serpent so soundly that it could barely breathe.
Although the Serpent had absorbed the power of fear, its strength had only returned to its peak and had not increased. It had failed to absorb the fear of the humans on Earth. To the Asgardians, Midgard, or Earth, was a primitive and insignificant realm. But in reality, Earth and humans were unique in this universe. The human race offered many advantages to various life forms. Angels, demons, and evil gods from other dimensions all craved human faith. The human soul was also incredibly special, and to some evil beings, the human body and mind were rich in nutrients. Earth was a treasure trove.
For the Serpent, the power of fear it could have obtained from humans was far greater than what it could get from other realms. It was not surprising, then, that Odin was now completely dominating the battle.
It was worth noting that due to the Serpent's unique nature, Odin could not simply kill him. In the past, he had only been able to seal him at the bottom of the sea on Earth.
Odin roared, and the Eternal Spear in his hand erupted with a terrible torrent of thunder, blasting the Serpent away. Under the bombardment of the thick and violent lightning, the Serpent was sent flying, smashing through countless planets in its wake. Riding his eight-legged divine horse, Odin's single eye flashed with lightning. His divine power was infinite, and his terrifying aura made him appear majestic and powerful in the vast starry sky.
Odin stared at the planet where the Serpent had crashed. He turned his head and looked in the direction of Asgard, his lips moving slightly.
Leon, sitting on his flower throne over Asgard, was watching the battle from afar, and Odin's voice echoed in his mind.
"Is there a way to kill him?"
"He is of the Odinson bloodline," Leon replied, a smile flashing in his eyes.
Odin answered without hesitation, "The Odinson family has no use for such a person. His very existence tarnishes our name."
Whether it was for the sake of his rule or for the prophecy he had once received from the World Tree, Odin would not hesitate. For Odin, Thor and Loki were the future of Asgard. He would not allow that prophecy to have any chance of coming true. As for brothers? Blood ties? What were those?
Odin's coldness didn't surprise Leon. After all, according to the original timeline, Odin was willing to blow up Earth and the Serpent together to prevent Thor from ever meeting him. As Hela had said, Odin may have become more compassionate in his old age, but he would never allow his bottom line to be crossed. Thor and Loki were that bottom line. If it was threatened, he would sacrifice everything without hesitation.
Leon didn't need to negotiate terms, because the moment Odin asked for his help, it was a clear sign of Odin's willingness to ally.
Bang!
Leon's figure suddenly vanished from the flower throne, transforming into a golden beam of light that shot into the sky. He cut through the vast starry sky at faster-than-light speed, a sudden movement that shocked everyone who was watching. Casti and the other Sky Hammer Venerables widened their eyes, a feeling of unease spreading through them.
At the same time, the giant Serpent, having been blasted into the interior of a planet, burst out and roared angrily at Odin, "Odin!"
But Odin gave him a cold, dead stare that shocked the Serpent. As if sensing the breath of death, he turned his massive head and looked toward the source of the danger.
Millions of kilometers away in the starry sky, a figure in a magnificent golden cloth raised his hands and clenched his fists. An endless stream of cold air turned into snowflakes that scattered across the sky, gorgeous and beautiful, yet full of danger. A terrifying cold storm ravaged the space around him. Behind him, the shadow of the Goddess Aurora holding a water jar appeared, and the Serpent's eyes widened in horror. Before he could react, Leon raised his fists and aimed them at the Serpent's subordinates.
The supreme combat technique of the Aquarius Saint: Aurora Execution!
The absolute zero cold air of the colorful aurora poured out, a raging storm of cold that was so fast and so frigid that it even froze time and space.
