Black magic and white magic are opposites.
The power of black magic lies in its rapid learning curve and lack of restrictions. As long as one is willing to study, progress comes quickly. Because black magic strongly affects its practitioner, the more one absorbs it, the more potent the magic becomes.
Ordinary magicians cannot approach black magic. Only after mastering white magic can one build a strong enough foundation in magic, fortify the soul, and potentially reach the level of a Father.
The Ancient One, Sorcerer Supreme, was proficient in white magic and had also studied black magic extensively. She could even tap into the power of certain dimensional entities through black magic communication—or choose to absorb power without reciprocating. Ancient One was fearless because she had backing, whereas other magicians risked accidents if they delved too deeply into black magic alone.
Black magic was immensely powerful, but its side effects were terrifying. Yet those with Origin Magic Power were unaffected by these limitations. They could learn black and white magic alike, mastering both rapidly without consequence.
Mixed magic—an amalgamation of black and white—was the superior form. The inferior could not influence the superior.
This unrestrained potential governed Wanda, a natural master of magic. With her awakened seventh sense of life level, reinforced willpower and faith, her rate of learning magic far surpassed expectations.
Regardless of whether Kamar-Taj or the Ancient One taught her self-created spells, Wanda absorbed and mastered them in minutes, leaving even the Ancient One outpaced. Ultimately, with no one left to challenge her, the Sorcerer Supreme returned to Kamar-Taj in a state of quiet withdrawal.
Nevertheless, Wanda's extraordinary talent, her calm temperament, and support from Leon and the Sanctuary made her the ideal candidate for the next Sorcerer Supreme. Whether Kamar-Taj would become a vassal of the Sanctuary in the future, the Ancient One believed that would be ideal. Leon, of course, appreciated the Ancient One's candid praise.
Magic shared many similarities with other disciplines, and Leon had improved mirror magic and portals.
With three Infinite Gems in hand, only the Reality Gem, Soul Gem, and Mind Gem remained in their particle form. The Mind Gem had disappeared along with Thanos. It was unfortunate but not critical.
Whether Thanos lived or died, if he still pursued his schemes, he would seek out the gems. Now was the perfect opportunity to seize the Mind Gem. Leon knew the dog would not relent.
Light and shadow shimmered as the Power Gem vanished. Leon moved toward the temple's exterior, where a multitude of Gold Saints appeared beneath the steps.
These were not merely the original twelve Gold Saints. The vast number of gold-armored Saints reflected the evolution of Bronze and Silver Saints. Through continuous improvement of their microcosms and accumulation to the seventh sense, their Saint Cloths had evolved to Gold level.
Leon had also mass-produced Saint Cloths using mineral veins like mountain copper. The guardian constellations were all created by him. At his level, imagination imbued these constellations with divinity and power. Athena's knowledge in his bloodline enabled this feat.
"God King!"
All the Saints kneeled, right hands on their chests, shouting in unison. Their voices rang like a great bell. The assembly of Saints marked a momentous occasion.
Leon's gaze swept over Ophelia, Hela, Wanda, Pietro, Kaecilius, Yelena, and others. He said nothing; his presence alone was commanding.
"Go!"
As he spoke, golden particles enveloped over a thousand Saints. Rising into the sky, the particles rendered each figure invisible.
An operation affecting the galaxy—and potentially the entire universe—had begun.
Across the vast starry expanse, golden meteors streaked through the sky, each Saint traveling toward a designated galaxy. In this context, a galaxy was a massive system of Fixed Stars and interstellar matter, the basic unit of the universe.
Typical galaxies ranged from dwarf systems with tens of millions of Fixed Stars to elliptical giants with trillions, all orbiting a central mass. Most galaxies formed clusters, and clusters aggregated into superclusters. Almost no galaxy existed in isolation. Leon's Sanctuary was in a galaxy group far larger than the Milky Way.
In this galaxy, over ten billion planets supported life similar to Earth. Many were in primitive stages, like Earth's glacial era, hosting diverse ecosystems but no intelligent civilizations.
Over a million planets had intelligent life, forming around 100,000 civilizations. Many remained technologically primitive, comparable to ancient Earth. Others had advanced capabilities, enabling space travel, planetary exploration, and resource mining.
Leon selected this galaxy deliberately. Using the Saints, he would spread faith and establish anchor points—temples, magical barriers, and magical nodes—eventually forming a dense, interconnected network.
The Sanctuary would serve as headquarters, led by Commander Ophelia, monitoring intelligent civilizations and responding to natural disasters or performing miracles to consolidate faith.
Preparations were essential. The Saint Seiya Corps had now reached a level sufficient for faith dissemination. The Saints' numbers did not need to overwhelm civilizations at once; a gradual approach would ensure that justice, order, and faith spread across the galaxy over time.
Meanwhile, on a cyberpunk-like planet controlled by Shinra Corporation, technology and human modification dominated. Soldiers had undergone genetic enhancements, mechanical augmentation, and ancient hero gene infusion. These experiments produced superpowered warriors, some integrated with mecha and advanced weaponry.
Over-exploitation and cruelty led surviving test subjects to scavenge discarded parts, forming a fierce "Hyena Army," intent on vengeance against Shinra. Their numbers and organization grew, and eventually Shinra could no longer ignore them. Attempts to destroy them provoked even more resistance.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Explosions rocked a Shinra Corporation building as modified experimental subjects launched a coordinated attack. The building's alarms were mysteriously disabled.
On the rooftop, a boy in a green mecha suit, dyed green hair, and AI goggles frantically operated a tablet.
"Ha! It worked! Come on, guys, you've got half an hour."
"Well done, Ike. We'll get what we need."
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Ike stood at the edge, holding a glass panel, surveying the flames. He had lost count of how many times they had attacked Shinra's facilities. Their intelligence and resources grew with every raid.
Suddenly, roars and the sounds of combat erupted around him. Shinra soldiers had arrived.
"Damn it!"
Ike realized they had walked into a trap.
"Boss Ashe? Respond, Boss Ashe!"
