As he finally gets up, all the families go to check go check up on him and want to know what's happening to him. Saif says to them, "Don't worry. It's just some things I have sealed inside of me that felt I was back. Just don't worry about it okay. (Pause) Let's just focus on this exploration day okay as don't worry, I am fine and this happens more than you might expect." They all look nervous as his answer didn't answer much, but he seemed fine, so they slowly dismissed what happened. Victoria's father and mother had a grim look on their face the entire time. Probably because they know what he meant as they, and Saif's family and some of the other families are the most knowledgeable about Purgatory and what's inside, and the stories they have heard when they finally came out.
As they all get back to walking through level 1, it ruin self reveals itself more. The day they were all tricked into participating in the horrible experiment, this level looked like any other game show that looked easy but actually was really hard. Cameras, audience, they had it all. Now, it's a ruin, all the areas destoried and torn apart, revealing the real look of level 1 behind it that was a white wall that pulsed a dim light from tbe beginning entrance area of the level, till the end, like it was pointing towards its exit to go in deeper into Purgatory. But now, that light is dim, and isn't realised frequently as much as before to the point that you would think it was turned off due to how long the periods of it being off are.
As they walked, all the 10 get flash backs of what they remember happened to them in this level from their perspective. Either those who were confused and pulled by the crowd's flow and beraly held on and wasn't crashed. Or those who were able to actually do the obstacle course without dying. Or those who had to walk on or get saved by a sea of corpses just to be able to finish an obstacle course without failing and becoming one of the bodies. As they walked though obstacle course to obstacle course, as they were able to walk through them as there was platforms to help them instead of actually doing it. More memories flow into their minds more and more. Ethon, feeling the grim mood suggests, "Hey, every, what if instead of walking through like this, what if we try to do the obstacle courses." No one cheered for that. Everyone just nervously looked at each other. Ethon, knowing this was the outcome and runs suddenly towards the next obstacle course. It had those super big balloon looking elastic balls that he used to navigate and walk on to get to the next area of this obstacle course. Everyone from the 10, seeing him suddenly just do it, almost yelled at him because they thought he was risking his life for no reason until they remembered that nothing could hurt them. But still seeing him do the course still made them really frightened and scared for him, as if he falls in this one... .
Saif was the one most effected by this as his nerves couldn't take it anymore. He yelled out Ethon's name, trying to get him to stop to tell him that seeing him like this is making really sacred and his nerves can't take it, but Saif, due to him not concentrating called Ethon out at the same exact time he was able to stick a jump, and instinctively, Ethon looked for just a second, making his foot bearly miss the landing. He falls and hits his chest on the platform and start falling down. Everyone was scared seeing this, but the 10 were horrified. Saif without thinking run into the obstacle course as fast as he can to get to Ethon, but at the time he reached were he was, he looked down nervously yelling Ethon's, fear evident on his face as he fears that Ethon is dead. He then hears Ethon's laugher and finally was able to find him with his shacking and panicking eyes. He saw him laying down on his back on the ground under him, having his arms crossed behind his hand and one leg over the other, totally relaxed. He then yells back to Saif, "I am okay man remember. This place can't harm us anymore. Even this huge fall felt like I was falling on a cloud." He pauses for a second as be gets up and tries to light up the mood by saying, "Of all the people, I would have never bet on you being the first to try this obstacle course first."
Relief and happiness wash over Saif and everyone. Saif relaxes as he slowly starts to laugh while slightly tearing up at what Ethon said. He is right. Saif looks down at where he is and can't believe he actually did it. Saif then hears some rustling behind him and when he looks back, he finds all the others trying out the obstacle course too. Seeing how they are not really scared just nervous to try, at least for most of them as some are more than excited to try something like this, makes Saif feel happy. He laughs quietly, more to himself out of joy at the sight he is seeing. He sees how his parents are trying to rush over to him and Victoria and Isaac helping them. He also sees how Victoria's parents wanted to reach out for her, probably to her to help them go through too, but then her dad decided to try and do it himself and jump on one of them, but he over shots it and slips of and falls down. His wife calls out him as he fell but he yells out that he is okay as his son jumps down to help him out. Saif just laughs louder at them and everything else happening in front of him and their tires, and it makes him almost forget why he was so nervous before.
After that obstacle course, and everyone regrouping again, they continued to try 2 more obstacle courses after, having fun and laughing together, but as it took a long time for everyone to finish them, they decided to not try any more of them and just march directly to the skip. The group After reaching about the further middle of the level deviated to the right wall. Ethon lead the group to a certain part of the wall and touch it, then it glowed a bright white light in the shape of a door that is round on the top. He turns around to the group and then says, "Okay everyone, this is the skip we talked about. It's nothing too bad, we will just walk through here and it should be no problem." Everyone looked at him with understanding on their face and relief as they now see how simple this skip is, except for the 10. Seeing how they looked at him he says, "What? What else am I supposed to say? (Realisation) Oh no, not this again." Saif then steps up and says, "Oh come on man, you know that this is no way to make the routine skip protocol reminders, so it's not like it's my fault." Ethon smacks his face in frustration and says exhaustedly, "Oh my God, not this again. Saif, this isn't a plane, you don't have to do this every, single, time. It's gonna make me go insane." Saif walks up to the leader position to be in front of everyone as he forceful pushes Ethon away telling him, "Well, that's too bad." As Ethon stands in the crowd, looking like he is about to rip off his face from how much he is pulling on it. "I thought this was finally over and I never need to hear this again, but here we are." Ethon mumbles to himself in pure frustration.
Saif clears his throat and says, "Alright everyone, this is the routine skip protocol reminder. First things first, we all go in there in and out, no staying and exploring except when designated. No deviating from the group leader who opened the skip as no route except the one that he or she decided to take is the possibility. If you have any ideas or route suggestions, say them now and we will go through the proper protocol to see if your suggestion is worth it or not. If you don't say them now then don't bother inside as no one is to deviate from the proper route. No touching, eating, or picking up anything from inside the skip, and if anything falls inside of the skip, then it's gone. No matter what, don't slow down or speed up from the group leader or as we call them 'Guides'. Listen intently to the guides commands and follow them and keep in high alert for anything and everything he or she says. And... ." Ethon then kind of intruptes him and tells him to just hurry up this as this is a simple skips and he doesn't need all this build up.
Saif clears his throat and then says, "Alright, I might have over did it a little. Okay, essentials are, don't stop, don't speed up, don't pick anything up, and always listen to the guide, and stay on high alert... . And I think that's all you guys really need to know. Damn, it feels really weird making it so short." Ethon quickly runs up to the leader position and forceful pushes Saif away before he says anything else. "Now that that's done, let's head inside!" Ethon said excitedly as he looks back to see the new nervous looks of everyone after what Saif said as it made them feel like these skips are more dangerous than they thought they were, which makes Ethon glare at Saif, and all he can do back is mouth the word 'Sorry' back.
Isaac walks up to the leader position and tap's Ethon's shoulder as he tells him to let him handle this one. Ethon quickly relents and let's him have this one. Isaac clears his throat as he says, "Everyone, don't worry. Skips this far back in Purgatory are nothing to be scared of. Honestly, if you run off or pick up or deviate from the Guide things will still be fine. There is nothing worry about. Saif just always needed to do this because of how truly dangerous these could be way deeper into the levels, and out habits just die hard. So don't worry, but FYI, don't eat anything in there as it will probably just taste bad." That last joke got a good amount of laughs from the families. His words turned the mood 180 degrees as Saif shots Isaac a doubt thumbs up for the save, but as him and Ethon switch back, Ethon shots Saif a glare, and Saif let's out his tongue at it. Ethon is surprised and furious about his audacity, but Isaac holds him back and just tells him to chill and just Guide everyone. Ethon is reluctant but tells everyone to follow him as he starts to walk.
Isaac walks up to Saif and tells him, "You just couldn't help yourself." Saif replies, "What? I didn't do anything wrong here. Plus, he is mad because I was about to list all the reminders." Isaac laughs as he says how that's true but he still shouldn't have been that annoying about it all. Oliver walks up to them from behind them and asks, "Yo, what are you guys talking about." Isaac jokes that it isn't much, but just how Saif can't forget his habits and isn't apologetic about it. Oliver says, "Oh come on, don't give him a hard time about it. You know Ethon is just pissed because he never liked them because of how boring they are to them. Saif quickly says, "That's what I am saying!" Isaac just sighs and says, "You both won't stop until Ethon boils himself away aren't you." Oliver laughs and just tells him he will cool him off himself and also says, "I will probably use how he always justed to wait through them even though he didn't like them because of how he almost died once because he didn't let you finish that one time card." Saif laughs and says how it slipped his mind how he will never let him live it down if he opened his mouth about the reminders. They all laugh together for a bit as then Oliver walks off and up to Ethon.
