Chapter seventy-one
Aito breathes as he walks towards the ring with Antonio and Coach Fumio, the lights dim and dark as he walks to the ring Maverick Steele is already in the ring leaning on the ropes as Aito walks into the ring.
the lights turn on bright and spinning around the crowd as the announcer steps into the ring.
Announcer: "Ladies and gentlemen. This is! The main event of the evening! Itssssssssss Time! 6 rounds of the rookie of the year tournament.
The Announcer yells waking up the crowd from their previous matches.
Announcer: "Introducing first. Fighting out of the blue corner! Weighing in at 130 pounds, standing at 5'4! With a record of 7-1-1 all his wins by KO! Aito 'The Powerhouse' Takeshi!"
The Announcer yelled making the crowd scream.
The Announcer then points to Maverick.
Announcer: "And in the red corner! Weighing in at 130 pounds, standing at 5'7! With a record of 17-0-0 all his wins by KO in the first round! Maverick! 'The Bear!' Steeeeeeeeele!"
The Announcer yelled as there is more Maverick fans then there was Aito fans.
The two walk to the middle their coach's standing by them.
Ref: "When I say break you two separate and listen to all my commands when I say them."
The ref said as Aito and Maverick stood across from each other. Maverick shaking his arms and Aito stretching his neck.
Ref: "Touch gloves if you want to."
The ref said they didn't and just nodded at each other.
Coach fumio: "why didn't you touch gloves?"
Coach fumio asked Aito as they stood in his corner.
Aito: "We made an agreement right there."
Aito said as Coach Fumio looked confused.
Coach fumio: "Agreement?"
Coach Fumio asked.
Aito: "Yeah. We're gonna try and kill each other."
Aito said as Coach Fumio just stood shocked in the corner.
Ref: "Round one. box!"
They ref said as the two walking in.
Aito runs into the center aswell as Maverick as they start jabbing and setting up combinations.
Aito: "(This guy should be pretty easy I mean his hands are down low.)"
Aito said as Maverick was using a no guard stance with his hands down beside his hips as all his punches rocket from his hips not shoulders as it makes it harder for Aito to read his rhythm.
Aito dodges two but a third hits him hard on his face.
Aito: "(Crap. I can't even read him.)"
Aito said as Maverick continues rocketing punches at Aito who can only dodge some by hairs.
Then Aito's knocked down onto the mat.
Ref: "one! Two!"
Aito: "(Whoa. Where did that punch come from?)"
Aito wonders as he starts standing up.
Commentators: "Aito's chin seems to be weaker then in his earlier fights. He used to be very good taking punishment to his chin. Now he doesn't seem to be able to take anything without dropping."
They say as Aito stands at seven.
Ref: "box!"
Aito and Maverick get back to the center and continue their fight, Aito dodging some punches by hairs as Maverick rockets the punches off at Aito testing his capabilities to dodge them.
Aito takes a bunch of punches to his guard but tries not to let them affect him to much.
Aito: "(This guy is strong.)"
Aito kept dodging and rolling punches until Maverick closed in the distance and got him on the ropes.
Maverick: "Let's see you survive this."
Maverick started throwing flurrys of punches as Aito tried to dodge and roll them but ended up shelling up.
Hayabashi: "Still not as fast as mine are."
Hayabashi said leaning back in his seat Daigo sitting by him leaning forward.
Daigo: "Maybe. But Maverick is very strong. But Aito may he stronger."
Daigo said as Hayabashi sighed.
Hayabashi: "Yeah but Maverick is undefeated. Aito doesn't stand a chance."
Hayabashi said laughing.
Daigo: "Undefeated doesn't mean unbeatable and I think Aito will show us that tonight."
Daigo said to Hayabashi.
As Aito rolls Maverick punches Maverick threw a short left dropping Aito again but Aito stands quickly.
As the ref continues it Maverick lands another solid left hook sunning Aito and making him lean on the ropes hands down as Maverick goes in to throw a free power punch.
