Its been 30 billion mortal years since the four creator gods created reality, and also Hanten Shita Anara.
Mortal years and divine years are the exact same, but due to the fact that divinities don't die of anything except for murder and suicide, Hanten decided to make it so a divine year has a billion days in them, those days are mortal years. (More on this later, in chapter 2.5)
The four creator gods have gone away to their cave, where they will stay permanentily, and nobody knows where they are.
Hanten has just created life.
He did not feel worthy of being the only one to see the beauty of reality.
He created the mortals, their bodies formed formed to be identical to his and he planted his creation, life, inside of them.
They started to move.
Surprised, Hanten punched one, the mortal he punched died on impact, he underestimated his own strength, because that punch, despite holding back to the point he was using no amount of his powers, caused a shockwave so big it blew up a planet about half a light year away.
(Author here: Universes are only a singular light year big. However, a singular light year is over 1 million times the size of our universe. This is because the 4 creator gods messed up their measurements when creating this reality, and that caused them to accidentily make celestial bodies bigger than they intended.)
Mortals are very different from divinities.
They're weaker, they die from things like disease, old age and other regular means of death.
But on average, a mortal's mental strength is twice as strong as a divinity.
This is because Hanten gave them that.
After Hanten accidentily killed that mortal, he thinks to himself before getting an idea.
Energy, and ascension.
Energy is an ability that allows a mortal to be equal to a divinity, should they be pushed to that point.
Ascension is the transformation of a mortal into a divinity.
This process involved a severe amount of pain, the ascending's death and a transformation of their soul into a divine soul.
Should this process succeed, their divine soul will make a physical manifestation around itself to stop the pain its in, and that physical manifestation is always an exact copy of their mortal body.
Nobody knows why, or how this happens, but it just does.
Hanten created a blessing, involving these two abilities, but then he turned that blessing into a soul ability and he reconstructed the mortal souls so they automatically have this ability without knowing it.
He made sure that a mortal would only unlock one of the three energy forms if that mortal is either a direct descendant of a divinity, or if that mortal is about to get killed by a divinity.
And even if that mortal is about to get killed by a divinity, they can only unlock an energy form if they survived a total of 5 hits.
Thats almost impossible, but so be it.
After he reconstructed the mortal souls, he created new bodies for them, gave the bodies life, then gave them their souls.
He created a total of 1 million per universe, and gave a total of 500 thousand planets per universe 2 mortals per planet.
A man and a woman.
He gave every mortal the knowledge of how to survive, the knowledge to communicate and the knowledge of procreation.
He also erased all their memories of him.
In their eyes, they simply came from nothing.
Some of the mortals died, some of them used their knowledge and managed to ensure their survival.
Hanten is proud.
He's following in the footsteps of his creators.
And so, he watched over the mortals, ensuring that the survivors stayed alive until they were able to sustain themselves.
This process took 20 billion years, and Hanten is finally done.
