Chapter 198 - Thor's Fury: Half of Asgard's Population Slaughtered by Purple Potato?

Oh, wow!

Even Purple Potato went after them?

Tony instinctively opened his mouth, but didn't know what to say.

That guy, Nick Fury, really knows how to stir things up. He didn't even spare someone like Purple Potato?

You have to hand it to him!

Purple Potato probably never imagined it.

A cosmic overlord like himself, who could wipe out half the life in the universe, would be schemed against by an insignificant little insect?

He also wouldn't have expected that his abilities would end up in the hands of a Skrull, who had lost their home and was forced to eke out a living on Earth.

Not just Purple Potato, even Tony hadn't considered that.

But the fact that Nick Fury didn't even spare someone like Purple Potato showed the extent of his DNA collection.

It's likely that Fury didn't let any strong individuals with extraordinary powers escape his notice, right?

Heh, so after all this, with all these interstellar forces fighting each other, Nick Fury was the ultimate beneficiary?

The biggest mastermind?

What a brilliant move!

Wait a minute!

As he was secretly sighing, Tony's expression suddenly turned serious, and he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

Purple Potato, had he also engaged in time travel?

And he actually traveled from the past to the future?

It has to be said, this was completely beyond Tony's expectations.

All along, Tony knew that the Avengers had traveled through time to collect the Infinity Stones, and that they had traveled from the future to the past.

So Purple Potato had done this too?

And it was completely the opposite of the Avengers, traveling from the past to the future?

If that was the case, then some of the battle timelines between the Avengers and Purple Potato that Tony had sorted out might not be accurate!

Because all along, Tony had summarized all the intelligence under the assumption that there was only one Purple Potato!

But now it seemed that the Purple Potato the Avengers had faced might not even be the same one!

In other words, there was a high probability that they would have to deal with multiple Purple Potatoes in the future?

What a mess!

Even one Purple Potato is enough to make things feel suffocating and hopeless. And now there's more than one?

If those two Purple Potatoes were fighting separately, things might be slightly better.

But if the two Purple Potatoes joined forces...

Tony didn't even want to imagine it!

So, there's a crucial question Tony needs to figure out.

How many Purple Potatoes are there on this timeline?

Or rather, when did the other Purple Potato travel from, and to which timeline did it travel?

But unfortunately, the diary didn't mention much about this, so Tony couldn't draw any firm conclusions.

However, Tony did manage to deduce one thing.

That second Purple Potato, without a doubt, was the one who died in the Final Battle.

After all, the phrase "turned to dust" said it all! The diary had already spoiled it; Tony snapping his fingers was to deal with the Purple Potato.

So, how to deal with him? Combining all the diary's spoilers, the answer was obvious.

It must be like the Purple Potato erasing half the universe's life, but instead, wiping out the Purple Potato's entire fleet! Eradicating all of the Purple Potato's forces, leaving none behind.

Only then could the world be saved, right? The diary had said long, long ago that he, Tony, would die saving the world! So, there was basically no question about what the snap Tony made in the Final Battle was for.

Originally, Tony thought the Final Battle was the end of everything, since the Purple Potato had already been taken care of.

But right now, Tony couldn't be so optimistic.

Because there wasn't just one Purple Potato!

The Final Battle only took out the Purple Potato who traveled from the past. What about the other one?

However, since it was called the "Final Battle," that meant this battle was the last one.

Could it be that the other Purple Potato had already died before this?

Or had he been living a peaceful life after retiring, no longer causing trouble?

But that didn't seem right!

Not long ago, Tony had just learned about the Purple Potato's ideology, the Purple Potato's motivation to erase half of the universe's life.

And during the Final Battle, the Hulk snapped his fingers, saving all the beings who were erased by the Purple Potato!

In this case, could the retired Purple Potato really stay put?

Wouldn't he jump out again to stir up trouble?

Under these circumstances, it shouldn't be the "end," right?

So, was this retired Purple Potato also taken out by everyone afterwards?

Or was it because of some other reason that he couldn't make any waves?

All sorts of questions began to flash through Tony's mind.

But Tony couldn't figure out the specifics just yet.

"Is it really Gravy?"

Nick Fury, in front of another diary, couldn't help but frown slightly, a look of… well, let's just say he wasn't happy.

Not only had the Harvest Plan, a highly classified operation, been exposed by Satan, but that also meant Tony would require some effort to handle the fallout.

However, for Nick Fury, this was just a minor inconvenience.

With Fury's methods, he could easily deal with such matters.

What really concerned Nick Fury was how Gravy had obtained those abilities. Had the Harvest Plan ultimately been funneled entirely into Gravy?

Indeed, Nick Fury had already begun the Harvest Plan, even starting long before he acquired the diary.

It had begun even before he got the diary.

Not just the Avengers' DNA, but before the Avengers were even formed, Nick Fury didn't let any of the extraordinary individuals he encountered escape his notice.

Furthermore, the executors of the Harvest Plan were none other than a Skrull team led by Gravy!

Considering Nick Fury already knew Gravy was up to no good, did this mean the guy would betray him in the future?

Had he secretly acquired the DNA he collected and used it on himself?

This needed to be guarded against!

Nick Fury immediately made a decision.

It seemed that the personnel involved in the Harvest Plan needed some adjustments.

The only problem is, the Time Machine Stark and the others invented is powered by Pym Particles. And the Avengers' supply of Pym Particles is insufficient; each person only has enough for a single round trip.

[Even if Nebula was captured by the Purple Potato in the past, the Purple Potato would only get a supply of Pym Particles.]

[How did he manage to transport the entire fleet here?]

[Could it be that the Purple Potato has researched more Pym Particles?]

[It's not impossible.]

[After all, the Purple Potato, like Tony Stark, is someone cursed with knowledge.]

[Although it's easy to overlook, the Purple Potato could potentially be a scientist on the same level as Stark.]

What the hell?

The Purple Potato actually traveled through time using the Avengers' Time Machine? Honestly, this was something the playboy never would have anticipated.

He had originally thought that Purple Potato had also mastered the means of time travel.

After all, even the Avengers, based on Earth's civilization, could do this, so it wouldn't be strange for Purple Potato, who came from an interstellar civilization, to do the same.

But now the diary told him that Purple Potato hadn't researched a time machine!

Instead, he had "borrowed" the Avengers' time machine!

Then the question arose. How did the past Purple Potato come into contact with the Avengers' time machine?

"The future Avengers!"

With Tony's intelligence, he reacted almost instantly.

It must have been the future Avengers, traveling back in time to get the Infinity Stones, who encountered the past Purple Potato!

The diary then confirmed it, and Tony's guess was correct.

A member of the Avengers named Nebula encountered the Purple Potato and was successfully captured.

Nebula?

The diary mentioned this name for the first time.

But since she was chosen to be a member of the "Time-Travel Squad," there was no doubt that this person was a highly trusted and powerful Avenger.

That much was certain.

The playboy instinctively recorded this name in his mind.

However, Nebula's luck didn't seem to be very good; she actually encountered the Purple Potato!

How she met the Purple Potato, Tony naturally didn't know.

But he could reasonably infer that she must have gone to space to collect the Infinity Stones.

And Purple Potato was doing the same thing, so it wasn't surprising that Nebula encountered him.

If that was the case...

"I wish I could have seen this spoiler sooner."

Tony couldn't help but worry for the future Avengers who had just left.

Because of the "time travel rules," they didn't want to communicate much.

So, besides the Pym Particles, there wasn't much communication between the two sides.

The Avengers didn't know much about the future Avengers.

Besides the few future Avengers who came to Earth, no one knew who their companions were or where they went to collect the Infinity Stones.

Everyone initially didn't think much of it. But now it seemed that Nebula was going to encounter Purple Potato?

Well, that made sense. This was probably why the future Avengers would experience the Final Battle, right?

Even though the Avengers and the future Avengers hadn't really communicated about the future...

Tony still knew about the Final Battle.

So, Tony couldn't help but feel a little worried.

Unfortunately, the future Avengers had already left. Tony could only shake his head and sigh; there was nothing he could do.

So the playboy quickly put those thoughts aside and turned his attention back to the diary.

He was immediately stimulated.

Purple Potato, is he also someone cursed by knowledge?

The diary had mentioned it a long time ago; this was Purple Potato's assessment of his "Big Tony."

It's clear that in terms of scientific prowess, Big Tony is renowned across the stars.

So now Tony realizes that Purple Potato actually shares the same assessment of his "Big Tony"?

They're both cursed by knowledge?

No way!

The diary has always revealed so many related pieces of information, vividly showcasing Purple Potato's power.

To say nothing else…

When the diary's owner, Zhou Cheng, listed the most exciting battles in the universe, almost half of them were fights against Purple Potato!

This person's strength has long been beyond doubt and deeply ingrained in everyone's minds.

It wasn't until now that Tony realized the Purple Potato wasn't just strong, but also incredibly intelligent.

How was anyone supposed to live like this?

So, that's what made the Purple Potato so difficult to deal with?

But no matter what, even if the Purple Potato, like him, Tony, was afflicted with the Curse of Knowledge, at most, it would only make him a bit smarter than the average person. There was no way he could reach the same level as the great Tony!

The playboy then thought to himself with certainty.

His great Tony? Could just anyone compare to him?

Didn't Zhou Cheng use the uncertain term "possibly"?

The reason the Purple Potato could decipher the mysteries of Pym Particles was clearly because of other talented people, not the Purple Potato himself.

After all, with the Purple Potato's status, finding such people shouldn't be difficult, and he might even have them under his command already.

Of course, even so, this wasn't good news for Tony.

The Purple Potato's threat level in his mind increased another notch.

Well, no matter how the Purple Potato did it, the Avengers in that universe were really lucky.

They wouldn't have to face the threat from the Purple Potato, except for the Battle of New York!

Even besides the poor Loki being used by the Purple Potato, no one would even know the Purple Potato existed!

Vision wouldn't be killed by having his gem ripped out, and Black Widow wouldn't have to sacrifice her soul.

More importantly, Thor wouldn't be so miserable.

He wouldn't have to watch Loki get choked to death by the Purple Potato, nor would he have to watch half of Asgard's people be slaughtered by the Purple Potato!

[Of course, the Dwarves, protected by Asgard, wouldn't be left with only Eitri alive either.]

"It seems the Purple Potato from the past traveled to the future after the Battle of New York," Tony immediately deduced, sounding perfectly reasonable.

Based on the tone of the diary, it wasn't just after the Battle of New York, but rather shortly after.

Otherwise, wouldn't everyone have known about the Purple Potato?

It must have been because the Purple Potato left in such a "hurry" that he didn't cause too much trouble, and thus didn't attract much attention.

And what about their world?

The Battle of New York had just erupted!

Well, a somewhat unrecognizable Battle of New York.

So Tony sincerely hoped that the Purple Potato's trip to the future and subsequent demise would happen in his own world.

That way, everyone wouldn't have to go through so much suffering.

Of course.

This was just Tony's internal monologue, and the big Tony didn't think such a good thing would easily fall into their laps.

Therefore, Purple Potato and the like still had to be treated as the most terrifying enemies to guard against, without any slack!
