Chapter 201 - Odin, the God-King, Was Also Banished to Earth?

Just look at Loki, that guy. Frigga raised him!

I don't know about the level of the 199999 universe. After all, I don't know why, just like Iron Man, who can fly and has many ranged attack methods, likes close combat. The sorcerer Loki also likes close combat.

Besides the magic of shadow clones, I haven't seen Loki use any other magic.

But in the main universe, he is the number one sorcerer in the Nine Realms!

And he's universally recognized as such!

However, the Loki of the 199999 universe shouldn't be too bad either, you know, he even banished Odin to Earth!

Although Odin eventually saw through Loki's magic, that's enough to prove the point.

"The greatest mage in the Nine Realms, huh? Just as I'd expect from my brother, Loki!"

"Even if he is adopted!"

Thor couldn't help but smile, a grin as bright as the sun.

Even though Loki had done so many wrong things, and the diary had revealed even more, he was still Thor's brother!

Furthermore…

Thor also knew from the diary that Loki's motives for all those actions were simply to be on equal footing with him, nothing more.

Loki wasn't truly evil at heart.

In this situation, Thor naturally still accepted Loki as his brother.

Thor's feelings for Loki hadn't really changed much; if anything, he felt even more guilty.

So, when he saw his brother being so awesome, Thor was genuinely proud.

The number one mage in the Nine Realms, huh? Not bad, not bad!

Even though it was Loki from the main universe, Thor had learned about the characteristics of parallel universes from people like Tony Stark.

He knew he could use it for reference.

Even in his own universe, Loki's magic would definitely be top-notch!

"Exiled Odin?"

But then, the warm smile on Thor's face froze instantly, and he was completely stunned.

Loki... exiled Odin?

His own brother exiled his father?

???

What the hell!

What kind of crazy development is this?

Has Loki's magic become this powerful? He can exile even his father? He should know that his father is Odin, the ruler of the Nine Realms, the father of the gods, the greatest and most powerful god in the universe!

Even if Loki really has the level of the number one mage in the Nine Realms, he shouldn't be able to do this, right? How could Loki possibly be this powerful! Of course, this isn't the most critical thing. The most critical thing is, why did Loki exile Odin?

Has this brat gone mad? He actually dared to do such a thing to his own father? It's really a bit rebellious!

How could he be so disrespectful to his own father! Thor began to feel a little annoyed.

Could this be another one of Loki's pranks?

You know, Loki has always loved pranks. Turning into a snake to trick Thor, cutting Sif's hair… those were all just basic level tricks. He wasn't even well-behaved in front of his own parents.

But no matter what, Loki had never done anything this extreme before!

Or, perhaps, it wasn't Loki's doing at all. Maybe something else had happened?

Thor fell into deep thought.

Tony, in front of another diary, was speechless.

Thinking back on his past "heroic" acts, Tony realized the diary's complaints were spot on. He had nothing to say in response!

With the most terrifying and advanced weapons on Earth at his disposal, he seemed to prefer hand-to-hand combat.

Basically, over eighty percent of his battles, big and small, were resolved with his fists.

Only when absolutely necessary would he resort to the weapons within his armor.

Making all the various weapon systems equipped in the armor feel like they were just for show.

"Do I even need to use weapons to deal with those guys?"

"My fists alone are enough!"

But then, Tony shrugged dismissively.

Why use a sledgehammer to crack a nut!

He didn't dwell on the matter and instead continued to focus his attention on the diary, waiting for further spoilers.

However, several minutes passed without any new entries.

Tony knew that Zhou Cheng had once again stopped updating without any warning.

Having gotten used to it, Tony naturally closed the diary.

After a moment's thought, the playboy immediately gave Jarvis an order: "Contact Nick Fury."

"Calling..."

"Stark?"

Soon, Nick Fury's voice sounded in the playboy's ear.

"I won't waste time. I think you should have guessed why I'm calling you, so I'll just ask directly."

"Did you collect my DNA?" Tony directly questioned Nick Fury.

"Stark, you misunderstand me."

Nick Fury's voice sounded flawless, and he immediately denied it without a second thought, "Maybe that other me did do such a thing, but that wasn't me!"

"I didn't collect your DNA, or anyone else's, for that matter!"

If it had been anyone else, Tony might have actually believed him.

But facing a spy chief like Nick Fury, Tony felt like it was an insult to his intelligence.

"I don't care if you did or didn't, but I want you to know, some things are beyond my bottom line!"

Tony sternly warned Nick Fury.

"Bottom lines are something more than just you have."

"Beep beep beep..."

After Nick Fury said this to Tony, he immediately cut off the communication.

"It seems the Harvest plan needs to be handled with more caution!"

Then, Nick Fury subconsciously rubbed his temples and sighed.

First of all, Gravik couldn't be used anymore.

Of course.

Ever since he discovered Gravik was up to something behind the scenes, Nick Fury had become very wary of him.

He was also considering whether to remove Gravik from the Harvest plan team.

However, to avoid alerting Gravik and his forces, Nick Fury hadn't taken any action just yet.

He simply ordered more resources to monitor Gravik, nothing more.

After all, Gravik had always been in charge of the Harvest plan, and the visible Skrulls were limited. Replacing him suddenly would be rather conspicuous.

But right now, Fury couldn't afford to be so cautious.

Then there were the other two diary holders, Tony and Black Widow.

Black Widow was no cause for concern.

She was not only his subordinate but also a seasoned agent.

She would undoubtedly understand Fury's reasoning and agree with his actions.

However, he needed to be more careful with Tony.

Mustn't let them see any weaknesses.

And considering Tony's intelligence and advanced equipment, this meant Nick Fury couldn't collect DNA from Tony.

Fortunately, Tony's DNA wasn't that important to Nick Fury anyway.

What Nick Fury valued most was the DNA of super soldiers who possessed extraordinary powers!

"Coulson."

After sorting through his thoughts, Nick Fury sat back down at his desk and called for the reliable Coulson.

"Sir, what are your orders?"

Coulson stood respectfully in front of Nick Fury's desk, awaiting his boss's command.

"There's someone I need you to investigate."

Nick Fury directly gave Coulson this order. "I don't have all the details about her identity yet, but her codename is 'Quake'."

Quake?

Coulson immediately made the same guess as Nick Fury: this was a superhuman who could emit shockwaves.

"Besides that, do we have any other information?"

After some thought, the old-fashioned agent looked up at the bald-headed man again.

"That's what you need to figure out."

Nick Fury said to Coulson as a matter of course.

"I'll do my best."

Although this task was a bit difficult, since finding someone based only on a nickname wasn't easy, Coulson readily accepted the mission.

After all, he was just a working man.

"By the way, what about that Scott?"

Nick Fury paused, then remembered something and continued to question Coulson.

The Scott in question was undoubtedly Scott Lang.

Even though the future Avengers hadn't revealed much information about the Avengers to them, the Avengers had still gained something important.

At the very least, they knew Ant-Man's identity, didn't they?

Fury, of course, didn't hesitate and immediately ordered Coulson to investigate.

"This guy is really a pity."

Coulson gave this assessment. "He graduated with a master's degree in electronic engineering from a prestigious university and worked for a first-class company. He could have had a bright future."

"But later, because he was overflowing with a sense of justice, he modified the company's source code and hacked into their security system, just to seek justice for customers who had been wronged by his former employer."

"Unsurprisingly, he was fired and suppressed."

"His life then took a nosedive. He resorted to theft to make ends meet and was eventually sentenced to five years."

"He's currently serving time in San Quentin State Prison."

After a slight sigh, Coulson gave Nick Fury a brief rundown of Scott Lang's background.

"That's a bit of a shame."

Nick Fury was slightly surprised.

The diary had mentioned Ant-Man was a thief, but it had never mentioned that Ant-Man had such a high level of education! A Master's degree in electronic engineering had led to a life of thievery; it was indeed a bit depressing.

Just, Ant-Man was actually locked up in San Quentin State Prison?

If he remembered correctly, his old friend, Frank Castle, was also imprisoned in that very prison back then.

"From now on, keep an eye on Scott Lang."

"Report anything suspicious to me immediately."

After quickly gathering his thoughts, Nick Fury issued this order to Coulson once more.

"Understood, sir!"

The honest Coulson immediately responded and then left to carry out the order.

Watching Coulson's departing figure, Nick Fury couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

He was diligent and never complained, no matter what task he was assigned. He was also capable, and, more importantly, he was utterly loyal to him.

He was starting to understand why his counterpart from that other universe had chosen to resurrect Coulson after his death.

And after Coulson left, Nick Fury once again fell into deep thought.

What was he pondering? Vision!

There was no need to elaborate on Vision's incredible power; the diary had mentioned it many times.

Vision had even once single-handedly swept through the entire Avengers.

Nick Fury was naturally incapable of remaining indifferent to such terrifying power.

Furthermore, whether it was the Destroyer from Asgard in the past, or Loki not long ago.

Even those well-intentioned future Avengers…

Nick Fury also felt the inadequacy of Earth's defense forces.

Although these conflicts ultimately achieved good results, they contained a large element of chance.

Take the Destroyer from Asgard, for example. If it weren't for Fury having read the diary and giving Captain America the power of Thor's hammer, they really wouldn't have won.

Loki didn't even need to be mentioned.

He single-handedly stole the Tesseract, and a small mind control trick was enough to tear the Avengers apart.

In the end, it was still reliant on Satan to turn the situation around.

What about the future Avengers?

Not even Ant-Man needed to be mentioned; just the future Tony alone would be enough to sweep everyone aside.

In this situation.

Nick Fury undoubtedly wanted to improve the overall strength of the Avengers.

Therefore, Fury paid close attention to those Avengers mentioned in the diary, and even those who weren't just Avengers, but rather, powerful individuals Fury thought he could recruit.

But unfortunately.

Up until now, apart from the Red Guardian, there had been basically no substantial gains.

Either their specific identities couldn't be found, or they were still ordinary people, so he could only wait for the right opportunity.

And now, this was Nick Fury's golden opportunity! After all, the diary had explained clearly how Vision was born, hadn't it? Wasn't it the Mind Stone + vibranium? And now, the Mind Stone was already in hand! As for vibranium, the diary had already revealed that there were "supplies" on Earth.

With the scale of S.H.I.E.L.D., it would be fine if they didn't have any, but as long as it existed, Fury believed he would definitely be able to get his hands on it.

In other words.

The hardware needed to create Vision is almost ready; it won't be a big problem.

What everyone lacks now is the software: the knowledge and skills related to creating Vision.

Although Nick Fury doesn't know what role Ultron played in creating Vision…

…since Ultron wanted to eliminate all of humanity, he definitely wouldn't be involved in this.

Moreover, Ultron doesn't even exist anymore, right?

If they want to create Vision, they can only rely on the resources and personnel they already have.
