"Put it down!"
Korath barked at Star-Lord while making a few tactical gestures.
The warriors beside him quickly stepped forward.
They jammed their obviously formidable guns right into Star-Lord's face.
"Relax, no problem!"
Star-Lord seemed to have given in and tossed the Orb to the ground. "See, I've already put it down."
Korath bent down and picked up the Orb.
His eyes widened as he glared at Star-Lord, shouting, "How did you know about this thing?"
This was the Orb, not just any ordinary object!
His master, Ronan, was searching for this thing on behalf of Thanos, the interstellar overlord of a generation.
"I have no idea, okay!"
"I'm just a scavenger, rummaging around here and there."
Star-Lord acted as innocent as could be.
Of course, it wasn't exactly a lie; he really didn't know the true origin of the Orb.
"You don't look like a scavenger, and you're wearing a Ravager's uniform."
Korath wasn't easily fooled; he ruthlessly exposed Star-Lord's lie.
Then, ignoring Star-Lord's various explanations, he ordered his men to take Star-Lord away by force.
"Hey, wait a minute, I have a name!"
Star-Lord shouted at Korath at the top of his lungs, "It'll scare the hell out of you."
Korath couldn't help but turn back, sizing up Star-Lord seriously.
Could this seemingly insignificant guy actually have some background? "That's right, Star-Lord from the Guardians of the Galaxy! We've finally met officially."
But at this moment, a voice rang out.
Whoosh!
Korath and the other subordinates of Ronan, as well as Star-Lord, all turned their gazes towards the source of the sound.
They saw a burly man in armor and a cape, casually walking towards them, holding a hammer in his hand.
