Still, there was no need to worry too much about this.
Although the diary had mentioned the Scarlet Witch battling the Avengers in the past, the tone of the diary still suggested that she wasn't inherently evil.
Moreover, her brother, Quicksilver, was destined to become one of the X-Men.
So, even if the Scarlet Witch did exist in his universe, it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.
On the contrary, given the future threats he was aware of, Charles even felt a glimmer of anticipation about this possibility.
Of course, considering how many future events the diary had spoiled yet never mentioned the Scarlet Witch, Charles couldn't help but consider another possibility:
The Scarlet Witch might indeed exist, and like her counterparts in other universes, Quicksilver would have such a sister.
But this sister might not possess any superpowers—she could be just an ordinary person!
However, these were mere speculations.
The truth of the matter would only be revealed after Charles conducted a thorough investigation.
*As for Quicksilver, there's no doubt he exists in both universes.*
*And based on their performances, the Quicksilver of the TRN414 Universe is clearly the more formidable one.*
*After all, the Quicksilver of the 199999 Universe was actually killed by a bullet.*
*What about the Quicksilver of the TRN414 Universe? He single-handedly rescued Magneto.*
*When Apocalypse stormed the Mutant Academy to kidnap Professor X, Havok's Havok's blast accidentally destroyed the entire academy.*
*It was Quicksilver who, in the instant of the explosion, saved everyone inside.*
*Who knows how much faster he was than the Quicksilver of the 199999 Universe.*
Apocalypse is coming to the academy?
Charles's expression turned grave once more.
Through the diary's spoilers, he already knew that Apocalypse intended to destroy human civilization and rule over humanity.
He even seized control of himself, launching nuclear missiles across the globe.
And used himself to declare war on all of humanity!
So, was this the reason Apocalypse attacked the Mutant Academy and kidnapped him?
Based on all the spoilers in the diary, this was the only plausible answer Charles could think of.
But upon closer analysis, Charles wondered if Apocalypse wasn't overreacting a bit.
After all, if Apocalypse simply wanted to declare war on humanity, there were countless ways to achieve that.
With such advanced media, he could have easily spread his message through any channel.
Why go through the trouble of using Charles's abilities?
And the nuclear missiles...
Apocalypse wasn't planning to bomb humanity with them. He just launched them into the sky!
Looking at it this way, Charles wasn't that important to Apocalypse after all. It didn't seem worth all this effort.
If the enemy was willing to invade his base just to get him, such a massive operation should have a more significant objective to make sense.
So, this is how it is?
Apocalypse has been targeting me for another reason entirely?
Charles fell into deep thought.
But he knew he couldn't reach any definitive conclusions.
He didn't dwell on it any longer, refocusing his attention on the diary.
*Havok*.
Seeing this name, Charles was once again lost in memories.
His old friend, his old comrade-in-arms!
The one who fought alongside him against the Black King in Cuba!
When he parted ways with Erik, Havok had firmly stood by his side.
After he founded the Mutant Academy, he also offered significant help and support.
But sadly, he was later forcibly sent to the battlefield. Charles didn't know what had become of him since.
However, judging by the diary's tone, Havok had returned to the Mutant Academy in the end. That's wonderful!
And as reliable as ever, he rose up to resist when Apocalypse attacked the Mutant Academy.
Charles had no idea how the entire academy had been accidentally blown up. Had Quicksilver finally joined the academy after all?
Charles had met Quicksilver during the *Days of Future Past* project. He and Wolverine had specifically recruited him to help rescue Magneto. This speedster possessed immense potential.
Charles welcomed such a person joining the Mutant Academy with open arms.
"Now that's what I call a speedster!" Tony, standing before another diary, couldn't help but exclaim.
The Playboy didn't know the specifics of Magneto's rescue, so he didn't dwell on it. But the fact that he had saved everyone in the academy in the instant of the explosion was truly astonishing.
Just how fast must he have been?
To find and evacuate everyone in the academy in the blink of an eye...
That was Flash-level stuff.
That was a true speedster.
Not like the Quicksilver in his own universe, who had been killed by a single bullet. It was practically a joke.
I just don't understand. Both are speedsters, no, both are Quicksilver. Why is there such a vast difference between them?
And then there's Deadpool, oh, no, I should say Little Jerk. He's also a character common to both universes.
But in the 199999 Universe, Little Jerk is just an ordinary person.
And in the TRN414 Universe? Deadpool is a formidable assassin who can slice bullets with his sword!
After obtaining Cable's time watch, Deadpool could not only travel through time but also across the multiverse.
He even went to a universe before *Days of Future Past* and killed the Stryker-modified version of himself!
He also visited the universe where his variant played Green Lantern, taking him out while he was reading a script.
At that point, Little Jerk could be considered multiversal, right?
"So this is why the TVA targeted Deadpool?"
Tony suddenly understood.
No wonder Deadpool became a Temporal Anomaly. Just look at all the chaos he caused after getting his hands on the time watch!
Tony remained noncommittal about the idea of killing Deadpool in another universe, knowing there might be hidden complexities involved.
But what the hell was this about killing one of his own actor variants?
Could it be that the Deadpool variant who played Green Lantern was just a disguise?
Did he have some deeper identity hidden behind the scenes?
No matter how he thought about it, it made no sense for Deadpool to go to such lengths to traverse the multiverse just to kill an actor.
Yet, Tony wasn't surprised that Deadpool's multiversal rampages against his variants would be classified as Temporal Anomalies by the TVA.
There was just one thing: so Deadpool became Deadpool because Stryker experimented on him?
That Stryker fellow truly lived up to his reputation as the mutants' lifelong nemesis—he was everywhere.
???
Charles, standing before another diary, had a string of question marks popping up above his forehead.
He was utterly baffled by Deadpool's erratic behavior.
It's one thing that you can traverse the multiverse, but why are you specifically targeting your alternate selves from other universes?
Do you have a personal vendetta against yourself?
A blood feud?
But you're separated by universes!
Charles was genuinely baffled.
However, judging by the tone of the diary, Deadpool didn't seem like a villain.
Just... rather unreliable.
After a moment's thought, Charles decided to keep a closer eye on this Deadpool in the future.
Of course, he also needed to investigate the key figure who gave Deadpool the time watch: Cable, Cyclops's son!
With his decision made, Charles refocused on the diary, eagerly anticipating the next wave of spoilers.
But after waiting for a while, no new entries appeared.
Once again, the diary abruptly went silent without any warning.
Charles temporarily exited the diary interface and began organizing the latest spoilers.
To be honest, this batch of spoilers had revealed quite a bit of useful information.
The most crucial revelation was how mutants were once again driven to extinction after Wolverine reversed the future.
Even though Stryker, the mastermind behind it all, has been imprisoned, who can say such a thing won't happen again?
Who knows if Stryker has any sons?
And even if he does, who knows if Stryker's imprisonment will prevent his son from researching genetically modified food?
Regardless, now that Charles knows about this devastating threat, he can take targeted preventive measures.
Then there's Apocalypse.
This progenitor of mutants represents the greatest potential threat Charles has ever faced, far surpassing the Cuban Missile Crisis instigated by the Black King.
Upon learning of Apocalypse's goals, Charles decided without hesitation that he must stop him.
Why?
Even though Charles had grown disillusioned with humanity and no longer sought to appease them as he once did, he could never accept Apocalypse's actions.
Because what Apocalypse was doing was fundamentally the same as what humanity had done to mutants for years.
Even Erik, a radical himself, ultimately joined the fight against Apocalypse. How could Charles do any less?
Charles's next steps were clear.
First, he would naturally use Cerebro to monitor the situation with the genetically modified food. This was a long-term task that needed no further explanation.
Second, he would investigate Apocalypse. Of course, he also needed to quickly investigate other important mutants like Phoenix, Wanda, and Quicksilver. This was self-evident.
However, since he had reached his 200-word limit for the day, Charles had to wait until the next day.
Still, he wasn't completely idle. After some thought, Charles immediately summoned Hank.
"Hank, could you please take me to Cerebro?"
Hank readily agreed, even showing enthusiasm for the request.
*Cerebro hasn't been used in ages! It's probably covered in a thick layer of dust!*
*It's wonderful to see Charles energized again.*
Hank immediately led Charles to the Cerebro chamber and activated the machine with a series of clicks and whirs.
Charles sat before the console, gently stroking the now-glowing "helmet" in front of him, his heart filled with emotion.
How long has it been?
He was sitting in this place again.
"Are you sure you want to do this?"
Hank pushed up his glasses, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.
"I think so."
Charles smiled faintly and picked up the Cerebro, placing it on his head.
*Whoosh!*
In an instant, Hank felt the world around him transform.
It was like a vast, star-filled cosmos—deep and boundless.
Within the confined space, it seemed as if the entire Earth had been compressed.
And those "stars" scattered across the void were undoubtedly the humans on Earth.
"Alright!"
Charles briefly familiarized himself with the sensation before swiftly proceeding with the task.
Using "genetically modified" as the keyword, he began filtering.
The amplified Cerebro quickly sifted through the thoughts of every human on the planet.
All research institutes, teams, and organizations related to genetic modification were swiftly identified.
"What is all this?"
Hank, not fully understanding Charles's actions, couldn't help but ask curiously, looking a little bewildered.
"There's a potential risk that could lead to the extinction of mutants."
Charles spoke plainly.
???
Hank was completely baffled.
Raven had been stopped, and Logan had returned to the future.
The Sentinel robot's future of slaughtering mutants had been averted.
So where did this extinction threat come from?
Moreover, these individuals Charles had selected couldn't possibly be Trask!
Trask was safely locked away in prison.
"It's not the Sentinels. It's a new threat."
"A food crisis."
Seeing Hank's bewildered expression, Charles knew what he was thinking and offered a brief explanation.
But this only deepened Hank's confusion.
A food crisis and mutant extinction? These two things were completely unrelated!
Why had Charles suddenly become involved in such bizarre matters?
Wait a minute!
With just a moment's thought, Hank immediately realized what was going on.
"It's that Mutant who can see the future, isn't it?"
"He's given you another glimpse of the future?" Hank asked with absolute certainty.
Charles shrugged, offering no further explanation.
Though Charles now knew it wasn't a Mutant at all, but a mysterious diary, he had tried and failed to share its contents with others. Let Hank continue to believe in the Mutant; it was simpler that way.
"In the future, someone will tamper with the food supply, creating genetically modified crops that will wipe out Mutants while remaining harmless to ordinary people."
Charles simply explained his actions to Hank.
*What the hell?*
*Killing people with food?*
Like Charles when he first saw this revelation, Hank was stunned into silence.
*Isn't that a bit too extreme?*
