Chapter 321 - Will I Become the Seventh Hokage? Will Another Great Ninja War Break Out?

 "Nani?"

"What is this?"

Uzumaki Naruto's attention was immediately drawn to the black diary. A look of confusion crossed his face. *When did this thing show up in our house? I don't remember it at all.*

But Naruto was still a bit of a ditz, so he didn't overthink it. He casually picked up the diary.

*Whoosh!*

In an instant, Naruto found himself inside the diary's interface.

"What's going on?"

"Who's there?!"

"Who used Genjutsu on me?!"

Naruto sprang to his feet, striking a combat stance, his eyes darting around warily. After spinning his head left and right several times and finding no one, he grumbled and sat back down.

"What the heck? There's no one here."

"Then what are all these things in my head?"

Uzumaki Naruto tilted his small head, lost in thought.

When he sensed an invitation, he didn't think twice and instinctively accepted.

A line of text immediately appeared before him:

Hello, friend from another dimension! I'm Tony Stark!

All the text in the Diary automatically adapted to the host's familiar language. So, while the Playboy used English, Naruto saw it in Japanese.

"Huh? Where did these words come from?"

Naruto's curiosity was instantly piqued, and he eagerly stared at the Diary interface, as if he had discovered something new and exciting.

"Are you talking to me?" he tried responding.

"Of course, my friend," Tony replied, repeating his request. "By the way, can you tell me your name?"

"You don't know who I am?" Naruto propped his head up with his hand. "Then why did you use this technique on me? Oh, I get it!"

In an instant, Naruto's face lit up with a brilliant idea, and his tone became confident. "You must be Sasuke, right! You think you can trick me? I've already figured you out! Hahaha, admit defeat!"

*Sasuke?*

Tony from the neighboring universe was utterly bewildered. He'd never heard that name before. And judging by the style, this new "netizen" didn't seem to be European or American this time.

And what was this about "jutsu"?

This newcomer seemed to believe that the miraculous Diary was some kind of jutsu. This meant that their world must possess some kind of bizarre, or perhaps supernatural, power.

In just a few sentences, Tony had already deduced quite a bit.

"I told you, I'm Tony Stark!" the playboy reiterated firmly.

"Stop lying! You must be hiding nearby, right? Watch as I find you!"

As he said this, Naruto, with renewed enthusiasm, began searching for Sasuke again.

Of course, he found nothing.

"Am I still under Genjutsu? Oh no, I have no idea how to break it!"

"Damn you, Sasuke! When did you learn Genjutsu?"

"That's not right, Sasuke doesn't know Genjutsu at all. So, you're not Sasuke?"

"Then... are you Teacher Iruka?"

"Huh? A quota? What does that mean?"

In the adjacent universe, Tony's expression gradually turned utterly lifeless.

This new user seemed to have a truly concerning level of intelligence!

Tony had no idea how many times he'd explained that he was Tony Stark, from the Marvel 199999 universe.

But the other party simply refused to believe him, stubbornly insisting he was some Sasuke, no matter how Tony explained.

This precious 200-character limit was being wasted on such a pointless conversation.

Tony was utterly exasperated.

He'd never encountered anything like this before!

Still, Tony had gleaned some useful information.

Judging by the new user's chat style and tone, they were clearly an immature child.

Moreover, their world was one where supernatural powers existed—at least, a world with supernatural abilities like Genjutsu.

Genjutsu, huh?

What form of power could that be?

Magic, witchcraft, or some other form of power he didn't know?

Tony had no way of knowing, but for now, the Playboy could do nothing.

He'd have to wait for the Diary's quota to refresh before having a proper chat with the other party.

"Why aren't you talking anymore? Why did you stop?"

"It seems I can't talk anymore either."

"What the hell!"

Meanwhile, after several attempts, Naruto finally confirmed that he really couldn't communicate with Tony anymore.

He reluctantly exited the chat interface.

But when he sensed the Diary's update notification, Naruto didn't care about anything else.

He instinctively opened the reading interface with excitement.

Immediately, he saw the new content displayed there:

Second stop in the Naruto World: Konoha Village, the foremost of the Five Great Ninja Villages. A must-visit.

No matter how you look at it, this place is the root of all evil and chaos in the Naruto World—or at least its starting point.

At the very least, the Fourth Great Ninja War was exactly like that. The Konoha ninjas basically wreaked havoc on the entire world, and that's no exaggeration!

Even in my opinion, the earlier Great Ninja Wars were ultimately inseparable from Konoha.

*I just don't get it. Senju Hashirama had the power to conquer the world, yet he went and captured the Tailed Beasts and distributed them among the Five Great Nations.*

*What kind of bizarre decision was that?*

*If he hadn't done that, how would other ninja villages dare to act so brazenly against Konoha? The Great Ninja War would never have happened!*

"Hokage?"

Tony's eyebrow immediately arched.

*So, the new world Satan went to is code-named "Hokage"?*

*Since I've never watched the Naruto anime, the word itself doesn't mean anything to me at first glance.*

*But as I read on, the Playboy started to understand.*

*Ninja Village?*

*So, Satan went to a world with ninjas?*

*And that "Genjutsu" the newcomer mentioned earlier—is that also a technique mastered by ninjas?*

*Tony understood.*

*"Konoha Village."*

*Tony silently committed the name to memory.*

*However, since this is a completely new universe, entirely separate from the Marvel multiverse, the Playboy naturally knows nothing about this name.*

*Beyond memorizing it temporarily, there's nothing he can do.*

*Not only Konoha Village itself, but also what the Diary meant by Konoha being the origin of the turmoil and the root of all evil—he knows nothing about that either.*

The diary did mention the "Great Ninja War."

Considering that Satan had traveled to a world where ninjas exist, this "Great Ninja War" must refer to a global conflict, right?

It seemed this was an unstable world after all.

The diary also explicitly stated that the "Great Ninja War" was actually caused by Konoha's ninjas stirring up trouble worldwide.

This gave Tony a clearer and more definitive understanding of Konoha Village's strength.

It wasn't just the top-ranked village; its power was far greater than any other.

Wait a minute... a village?

Tony frowned slightly.

*A village starting a world war? That feels so awkward.*

*It's completely contradictory, doesn't fit at all.*

*Or perhaps the units in the Naruto World are different from what I understand?*

After some thought, the Playboy could only interpret it this way.

"Tailed Beast."

This was another entirely new term, one Tony naturally wouldn't know.

But judging by the diary, if the other villages didn't have Tailed Beasts, they wouldn't dare provoke Konoha.

It was the Tailed Beasts that gave these villages their confidence!

So, were Tailed Beasts some kind of devastating strategic weapon?

It's like a nuclear weapon in our world, isn't it?

Tony made this seemingly obvious deduction.

"What does that mean?"

"Why would he say that?"

"This is just nonsense!"

Naruto, sitting in front of another diary, couldn't help but scratch his head, looking a bit annoyed.

Even the usually carefree Naruto couldn't fully grasp Zhou Cheng's vague criticism of Konoha.

Of course, he could tell the diary was badmouthing Konoha, which is why he was so irritated.

The current Naruto was deeply indoctrinated with the Will of Fire.

His lifelong ambition was to become Hokage, so he couldn't stand anyone slandering Konoha.

"Fourth Great Ninja War?"

"When was there ever a Fourth Great Ninja War?"

As he read further, Naruto frowned again.

Even a dead last like him, who was terrible at academics, remembered from history class that there had only been three Great Ninja Wars.

Where did a fourth one come from?

Besides, in those three wars, Konoha was always the victim.

It was the other Ninja Villages that attacked Konoha; the village was only defending itself.

But this diary claimed the Fourth Great Ninja War was the fault of Konoha Ninjas?

This is utter nonsense!

"First Hokage-sama!"

When Naruto saw Senju Hashirama's name mentioned in the diary, his expression turned solemn and respectful, his eyes shining with reverence.

The Hokage of Konoha were Naruto's lifelong idols, especially the First Hokage, who had single-handedly founded Konoha Village.

Of course, the Great Ninja War is still some distance away.

Though I haven't seen the Konoha Twelve or Kakashi, nor do I know which generation the current Hokage is, I did see the graffiti on the Hokage Rock.

In all of Konoha, there's probably no one else besides Naruto who would dare deface the statues of the Hokage.

Haha, the current Naruto must still be that village's most mischievous, troublesome, and disappointing dead last.

But who could have imagined that such a looked-down-upon individual would one day become the hero who saved the Shinobi World and the Seventh Hokage of Konoha?

Konoha Twelve?

Tony immediately guessed that this must refer to the twelve strongest ninja of Konoha.

He didn't know which twelve they were, but... Kakashi?

The Playboy's mind immediately sparked with curiosity.

Why did this name seem so familiar?

After careful consideration, he finally remembered—the Diary had mentioned it before.

When the Diary first brought up Captain America, it jokingly called him a "50-50" fighter, capable of holding his own against anyone.

It even drew a comparison between him and Kakashi.

At the time, Tony had investigated but couldn't find any information about who Kakashi was.

Now he realized Kakashi was from another world.

So Tony immediately had a basic understanding of Kakashi: a 50-50 fighter!

As for Naruto...

This was the first time the Diary had mentioned his name. Since there were no *Naruto* comics in the Marvel universe, the Playboy naturally wouldn't know him.

But judging by the Diary's tone, this Naruto wasn't ordinary.

Saving the world in the future? He was definitely a superhero!

"What the—he's not the Third Hokage Grandpa anymore!"

Standing before another diary, Naruto couldn't help but mutter to himself.

*Is the person who wrote this diary an idiot? They don't even know who the Hokage is?*

"Hehehe!"

But when he saw that he'd even scribbled on the Hokage Rock, Naruto couldn't help but grin.

He grinned smugly, full of pride, as if he'd accomplished something truly remarkable.

*The diary's right—who else would dare do such a thing but me, the great Naruto?*

*Would that arrogant Sasuke dare?*

*He wouldn't!*

*Sasuke just acts cool in front of the classmates.*

*When it really matters, you can't count on him for anything.*

*I still don't know how that guy managed to fool Sakura. It's so unfair!*

Thinking of this, Naruto couldn't help but feel indignant.

"W-What...?"

"I... I'll become the Seventh Hokage?"

"Will I really become the Hokage in the future?!"

When he saw "Seventh Hokage," Naruto froze for a moment before nearly jumping for joy.

Becoming Hokage had been Naruto's dream since childhood, and he firmly believed he would achieve it.

Even though every time he mentioned this dream, he was met with nothing but cruel mockery and ridicule, Naruto never wavered.

Naruto never imagined that this bizarre guy who had trapped him in Genjutsu would actually share his belief.

This was the first time anyone had ever affirmed his dream.

Naruto was ecstatic beyond words.

But who could this guy be?

Naruto instinctively picked up the diary again to check, only then noticing the name written on it.

*Zhou Cheng?*

Naruto fell into deep thought. *Who is this guy? I've never heard of him!*

One thing was now certain: it wasn't Sasuke playing tricks on him after all.

As for who Zhou Cheng was, he'd ask Teacher Iruka about it later.

*Yeah, that's the plan.*

Naruto made this decision with a cheerful heart.
