Chapter 114 - Chapter 114. So, as long as I don't die, you won't die!

"Mjolnir!!"

Early in the morning, a loud voice suddenly rang out from the direction of Thor's bedroom.

Thor jolted awake from his sleep and sat on the bed, panting.

Just now he had a nightmare a demon dressed in white and wearing a bright red cloak had taken his Mjolnir and robbed him of his God of Thunder power!

Even worse, after becoming a mortal, he had to watch as his father, mother, Loki, and a group of friends embraced that demon, who then sat on the throne of the Golden Hall and became the divine king of Asgard!

And that demon had permanently banished him from Asgard and exiled him to Earth!

As soon as he dreamed of such a terrifying thing, Thor suddenly woke up!

After waking, he touched his head, which ached like a hangover, and recalled what had happened last night.

Banquet… Alaric… Fight…

"Wait! Fight?!"

Thor remembered that his mother Frigga had brought a stranger to meet him, said his name was Alaric and that he should call him uncle from now on.

Then, since he wasn't convinced, he challenged him, and then…

"Mjolnir!! The power of the God of Thunder!?"

Thor's eyes widened; he couldn't believe it was really true!

So it wasn't a dream!

He had truly lost Mjolnir! Lost the name of the God of Thunder! Even lost the right to inherit the throne of the God King!?

"No!"

Thor threw off his blanket and ran barefoot outside!

He wanted to find Alaric!

He wanted to get Mjolnir back!

He couldn't live without the hammer!!

Even if he had to beg, Thor was ready!!

"No… Uncle!!"

"Uncle, give me back the hammer!!"

Thor ran the whole way, shouting, and all the passersby stared at him curiously.

They didn't know what madness their prince of Asgard was up to.

"Thor? What are you doing?"

Sif and Fandral ran into Thor as he was running and stopped him.

"Sif! Where does my uncle live? I'm going to find him!"

"Your uncle? Ah, right! You mean Lord Alaric? He already returned to Earth early this morning with his girlfriend."

Sif didn't understand at first where this "uncle" came from, then remembered Alaric and told him.

"He left?!"

Thor's strength collapsed.

Alaric left, does that mean he took Mjolnir with him?

"Did Mjolnir also go to Earth?"

"I don't know; when I went to see the Queen of the Gods, I learned that Lord Alaric had left Asgard."

Sif shook her head.

"Do you want to try summoning it?" Fandral suggested.

"But I tried yesterday and couldn't summon it," Thor said dejectedly.

"What if it works now?"

"Alright, I'll try."

Thor grabbed onto a sliver of hope, raised his hand to the sky, and softly called Mjolnir.

A minute passed, then two… three, and still no movement.

"I've lost Mjolnir!!"

Sorrow poured out of Thor's heart.

That was Mjolnir, which had been with him for more than two thousand years and had seen countless battles!!

Thinking of that, Thor's heart ached as if the joy of soaring freely through the sky had been torn away.

Thor collapsed to the ground, as if he'd lost the meaning of life.

Seeing this, Sif and Fandral didn't know what to say, so they could only quietly stay by Thor's side.

"Did you hear something?"

Fandral suddenly turned to Sif.

"What sound?"

"That same sound!" Fandral mimicked it.

"Huh… What is that!?"

Sif casually looked up in confusion, and then saw a black dot flying rapidly toward them.

"That's… Mjolnir?!" shouted Fandral.

"Mjolnir?! Where!?"

Thor suddenly jumped up and looked to the sky.

It was Mjolnir, which Alaric had thrown aside last night; only now, summoned by Thor, was it swiftly returning!

"Aha! I still have the right to use Mjolnir!!"

Thor, who caught the hammer, was so happy he couldn't speak!

Grabbing the hammer, it was like a kiss!

"Wonderful!" Sif and Fandral looked at each other and sighed in relief.

Now Thor wouldn't fall into despair.

But why didn't Alaric take Mjolnir with him?

Because he didn't need it!?

...

New York Temple.

"I'll go back first; I think this time I can write my thesis."

Jane said in Alaric's embrace.

"Ah, alright, go… Don't you want to stay one more day?" Alaric found it very hard to let Jane go.

"No… thank you! If I don't return, Professor Erik and Darcy will probably report me missing to the police!"

Jane flinched at Alaric's words and quickly responded.

"I have a feeling… like you don't want to be with me." Alaric looked suspiciously at Jane.

"Uh… you're mistaken!"

Jane smiled and looked at Alaric.

In her heart, a small alarm went off.

It wasn't for any other reason, but because Jane was a mortal and truly couldn't endure the destructive strength of Alaric's divine body!

Jane had felt the strength of Alaric's body for the first time and was nearly exhausted to death!

Even with Alaric's blessing, Jane couldn't withstand it!

That's why Jane said she wanted a little break!

Conveniently, Jane had also read many books from Asgard's library, learned a lot, and could start writing her thesis.

"Alright, I know what's worrying you; so go back and write your paper first, and I'll see you in a few days."

Alaric hugged Jane and comforted her.

"Am I too worthless." Jane sadly buried her head in Alaric's arms.

She felt that, as an ordinary woman, she wasn't worthy of Alaric's divine status.

Besides, Jane had learned in Asgard that gods have extremely long lifespans and can easily live for thousands of years.

And what about her?

In just a few years, she would grow old and frail.

Jane didn't want to lose Alaric!

"It's nothing, to me, you're wonderful, really~"

Alaric sensed her mood dip a bit.

"Don't worry, Jane; with me, you can also live forever and stay young, do you remember my blessing?"

"This one?" Jane opened her palm, revealing the sun and moon symbol only Alaric and she could see.

"Yes, that mark is connected to my power; it can slowly strengthen your body in other words, from the moment it appeared on your palm, your life is as long as mine."

"So, as long as I don't die, neither will you!"

"Jane, do you want to stay by my side forever?"

Alaric lifted her head and looked at her seriously.

"I do!" Jane cried from happiness, full of emotion.

Even though she didn't know magic, she knew she wouldn't lose Alaric.

"So don't worry; in the future, you'll slowly be able to endure a little longer."

"Mmm…"

Jane blushed and nodded.
