"Alaric!"
"You're amazing!"
When Alaric returned to the top of Stark Tower with Loki, Amora ran up excitedly.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came for Loki and wanted to capture him, but he escaped."
Amora looked at Loki, who was sitting silently with his head down, and explained.
"Alright, then you keep an eye on Loki, I'm going to close the portal."
Alaric nodded and soared upward.
"Loki, don't you want to run away?"
"What do you think? With Alaric here, where could I run?"
Loki gave a bitter smile and simply sat on the floor.
Now he really had no intention of running, unless he was seeking death.
"But Loki, I have to thank you for saving me."
"Ha? Because you got this moment of freedom? Too bad, your freedom will end soon."
Loki said mockingly.
"No, Alaric decided to keep me by his side, so unlike you, I won't be taken back to Asgard and thrown into prison. That's why I'm thanking you."
Amora shook her head and explained.
"A???"
When Loki heard that, he lifted his head toward Amora.
No, why do YOU get to stay?!
Why is Alaric keeping her!?
Shouldn't you, like me, be returned to Asgard, brought before a trial, so we can be cellmates?!
"What did you do? Don't tell me you controlled Alaric!?" Loki shouted.
"You think I'm on his level? The reason I escaped your control is because Alaric defeated me when I tried to influence him."
Amora rolled her eyes.
"I see."
Loki finally understood why Amora had returned to normal.
Then, he really is pitiful!
Amora has Alaric's protection, and he doesn't!
After this chaos, if they survive, Loki believes he'll spend the rest of his life in prison.
"Amora! Where's Alaric?"
Gwen suddenly climbed up from below; she had just seen Alaric here, so she followed.
"He went to close the portal."
"Ha? Who's this?" Gwen looked at Loki suspiciously.
"He's Loki, the main culprit behind this incident."
"Ah, so you're the guy who brought aliens to attack Earth."
If Loki hadn't already been captured, Gwen probably would've already flown over and kicked him a few times.
"By the way, you said you're from Asgard and know Loki?"
Gwen suddenly turned to Amora.
"Yes, I'm from Asgard, but I was in prison because I made a mistake in the past..."
Amora and Gwen continued chatting on the side.
...
Down below.
Steve, Natasha, and Hawkeye were running full speed toward Stark Tower.
They had also seen Alaric return with Loki and wanted to regroup there.
As they were running, they saw ahead of them a figure in a dark green suit going in the same direction.
"Hey! You up there!" Steve shouted.
"Ha?" Peter turned around confused.
"You are…?"
"We should be asking you that. Are you a superhero too?" Steve asked.
"Yes, I'm a superhero too, I'm Lizardman! But that shield… You're Captain America!? Weren't you dead?!"
Peter asked, shocked.
"For some reason, I didn't die, I came back."
Steve saw that Peter wasn't an enemy and lowered his guard.
After all, the chaos in New York wasn't completely over, who knows what other creatures might appear.
But this Lizardman… looks pretty convincing.
"You're really Steve!? You're my idol! Hello, hello, hello! I'm Peter Parker!! See, my suit is designed after your uniform! What do you think!?"
Peter excitedly shook his hand, then turned to show off the style of the costume, overjoyed.
"… It's good, it's good." Steve's lips twitched.
Although the style really is similar, this color scheme… a bit too monotone.
Natasha couldn't help but laugh.
Seeing that, Peter lowered his head, dejected.
"I knew it, I'll have to change the color again."
"Where are you going?" Steve asked.
"Oh! I'm going to find Mr. Alaric!!"
"You know Alaric too?" the three were surprised.
"Yes! Mr. Alaric saved my life! And the fact that I have superpowers now is thanks to him!"
Peter said proudly.
"Then let's go together."
Seeing that Peter knew Alaric, the three Avengers invited him to join them.
"Awesome!! By the way, Captain, can I get your autograph later?"
"Sure…"
...
The four of them kept running, rushing to regroup with the others.
But as they ran, Hawkeye's sharp eyes caught a familiar color.
"Wait… does that over there look like Stark to you?" Hawkeye asked, pointing at a figure in the rubble with half of a red suit showing.
"It really does! Let's get him!" Steve ran.
Earlier, Tony had gone after Loki on Amora's order, but the Chitauri horde took him down and he had been unconscious since.
"Tony?!" Steve removed his helmet and called out to him.
"Is he seriously injured?" Natasha asked.
"Looks like he is. Let's take him to Alaric, he should be able to heal him."
Hawkeye remembered the magical healing Alaric had used earlier and suggested it.
"Alright, let's carry him!"
Steve and Hawkeye lifted Tony.
"He's too heavy!" Hawkeye frowned.
Steve was also visibly straining, not to mention Natasha.
They had just gone through the hell of battle and were at the end of their strength.
"Give him to me!" Peter offered.
He approached and easily lifted Tony.
"You're that strong?" Natasha was surprised.
"Yes, I've got lizard genes in me, so I have some lizard abilities too."
"Not bad…" Natasha awkwardly smiled.
So that's how you got the name Lizardman.
...
Boom!
"Loki!!"
Thor fell from the sky and, upon seeing Loki, immediately approached and grabbed him by the collar.
Loki didn't resist at all, his face had lost all its former glow.
"Loki, you're facing trial in Asgard!"
Thor shouted and threw him to the ground.
Then he turned and saw two people.
"Amora?! What are you still doing here!!"
Thor froze, bent down to quickly grab Loki, and prepared to fly away.
He didn't want to fall under Amora's control again.
"If you take Loki, I don't know if Alaric will be angry!" Amora quickly said.
"Ha? You know Alaric!?"
