Ethan leaned closer to Claira and whispered softly.
"Told you, right?"
"We are going to witness a brutal scene today. Something that might soothe you a little."
Claira nodded, though her eyes held a faint trace of unease. There was no one in this palace she felt any warmth toward. In her heart, everyone here was part of the same rotten world. In her eyes, they were cruel vermin who deserved to suffer.
