For a few seconds after the explosion, the entire battlefield fell into a heavy silence, and even the sound of weapons clashing seemed to disappear under the weight of what had just happened. The massive cloud of smoke and fire still rose into the sky, and the ground beneath continued to tremble slightly while cracks spread outward like scars across the land.
Han stood still, and his grip on his weapon tightened unconsciously while his eyes remained fixed on the distance where the explosion had occurred. His chest rose and fell slowly as he tried to steady himself.
"That… was one hell of a throw…" he muttered, and his voice carried clear disbelief.
Hale stood beside him, and although he had witnessed many brutal battles before, his throat still felt dry as he stared at the aftermath. His eyes did not move from the crater forming in the distance.
"If that hit the army…" he said quietly, and his words trailed off before he could finish.
