Their blood carried a special power that allowed them to cast healing magic even without receiving the blessings of Light.
Because of this ability, the Halcrest Family had built a huge influence throughout Arcadia. They had also extended their influence into other Empires, although they usually operated in small batches so that they would not attract too much attention. Their healers were welcomed almost everywhere, and many powerful families had dealings with them.
But saying that the Halcrest Family was peaceful was very far from the truth.
