Chapter 11 - Kael's Hatred

Lyron thought that this is all that he needs in life, It is his mission to kill, but the fact that killing Lyron had not been done earlier is a greater mistake than he would not have committed, never in his life. Sighing, Lyron shook his head from left I right.

what the man had to say, it was clear in his mind, and like this, he would do as planned. Sometimes, thinking about these things is kind of difficult that it makes his head throb so much.

He blames this on Kael, it is his fault. If he had given him the permission years back to finish with Duke Sylas, they wouldn't still have been talking about this same issue they are having right now. No! it would have been a whole totally different issue.

No one would have even noticed that such a thing would happen to him, and as he opened his eyes widely, trying to check what is even going to happen if he is not been stopped, the Cult's squad will be a whole lot of different issues. It doesn't matter at all, and the more he tries thinking about it, the more bizarre it forms in his head. Well, not everyone can be the ruler of the City of Skull. It is a very big town, and the population varies between ten to twelve million people.

As if being a lord of the town is not enough, he wants to reach the top level, where he can see all their illegal activities, and act upon them really fast. When Duke Sylas was still only a wealthy billionaire with no power, he couldn't have attained the throne, never, and thus he had thought it wise to bridge it, and just in space of six months, he has become the tune that everyone carried on in their heads now. Lyron was deep in thoughts that when the words left his mouth, he didn't even notice it. "Duke Sylas needs to be put in the position he deserves. He has to, and although it is kind of insane already, I just have to do it. I have this dangerous feeling that the young man will cause more than a threat to us, which is something I don't think I ever want to live and witness it," he spat out.

Lyron was serious about the words that left his mouth, it was more than anything he has ever checked on talking about. Also, as he looked at Kael, he waited for him to talk, but when not a single word left his mouth, he kind of just simply ignored it all the way. But then, when he was certain that Kael wouldn't say anything, he decided to press on with the question that played at the back of his mind.

"Excuse me, Lord Kael, I have a question, if Duke Sylas is going in for the throne and wins it, wouldn't be compensated with the lordship since he was his opponent?" Lyron asked raising his brows. At least, he knew that it was the silliest question he has ever got to ask in his entire life, but he wanted to at least know how things work or was he too bad that he would be left out? he wondered shaking his head. Kael glared at Lyron with a side scowl on his face, and he didn't look pretty good with how he was just there, trying to make things hard for him.

As he opened his mouth to explain the needful things to his personal assassin, he felt like he was just being stupid as days passed by. But then, Kael didn't want to tell him that, so he just cleared his throat as he started speaking slowly. This is because there is no joy in Kael's body anymore, there is no joy for him anymore and as he thought about exposing those things that might be of interest to Lyron, he didn't find the least joy sharing these things.

"Lyron, I don't know why you are bent on spoiling my mood this evening. If you have forgotten, I am not first of all happy with the things I am seeing going on around my life right now, and the least I can even think about is having a young man like Duke Sylas spoil my day," Kael exploded.

At first, Lyron felt bad because this is not what he had asked Kael about, but the fact that he was at least saying something to him is important. For once, Lyron felt like his presence was worth it, and he is not going to let anyone know about this except well. Shaking his head severally for no good reasons, Lyron tried his best to focus on Kael, and as if he remembered to continue what he was saying, Kael decided to continue his words; they are so important that no one will even think about them.

"Lyron? I will do you the benefit of the doubt to explain the kind of situation in which I find myself. If I please you, please, don't hesitate to let me know okay?" Kael raised his eyebrow quizzically. "Yes, Lord Kael," Lyron murmured, using it as a signal to continue. It doesn't matter what this is all about but then, what interests Lyron is the fact that he is going to learn. Kael is his lord, and as such, he needs to be in his best mood in order not to frighten him, and then, all things always need to look interesting to him. Sighing, when Kael was sure that he had the young man's attention all through as he thinks of saying these things.

"If I didn't tell you earlier, then, let me do so now. By the way, what I want to let you know is that being a lord is totally different from a quest for the throne. There are three key posts that have to do with local lordships. But then, what I want you to know is, Louis fucked us all, he didn't even take any of—The truth be told, it is a sad story to tell because it means that we have lost every chance possible to get into our safe zones," he muttered in anger.

It is obvious that Kael is trying to surprise the anger in him, and as he did so, the steaming tears at the back of his eyes came forth threatening to pour out.

Staring at him now gave Lyron a piteous look, it felt like nothing he had ever heard before, and it caused Lyron to be angry. His anger boiled in his throat, it was like nothing he had ever got to feel in his entire life.

Lyron knew best not to say anything, so, he kept his calm, and as he looked at Kael, he knew that he definitely has to do something about this issue, nothing could be more than Lyron; he is the leader of his assassins, and nothing is above him to do, absolutely nothing at all. Deep down in Kael's mind, frustration clouded his features, it is more than anything he could have known in his entire life as his life sulks that much.

e knew that he has to get Lyron to do this one favor for him, even if he is not willing, but then, he does not beg. Kael commands — and he intends to make Lyron obey. Glancing toward Lyron's direction, Kael cleared his throat wanting to speak his mind out. It is kind of awkward, he couldn't even believe that such a thing had happened to him. Lifting his head lightly, Kael raised his head to look at Lyron as he prepared his mind to start talking.

Immediately Lyron heard him say these things, he knew that it was his time to think about it.

"Do this for me, Lyron. Do not allow Duke Sylas to get anywhere close to the throne," Kael ordered with all his might.

Lyron had just realized that Duke Sylas was wiser than they had actually thought, and they were fools because they had been completely fooled. Hearing these things was a worse allegation than no one would know about, it was kind of aching to even know these things, and hearing about them made him so sad, more than what he had got to think of.

"I will help you, Lord Kael," Lyron replied. "When I think about all the help that you've showered on me all these years, it just gives me the motivation to serve you so loyally, and do not mind, I will do it for you, like seriously, I will. But what I do not understand is how Duke Sylas had played over our intelligence this swiftly," Lyron blurted out shaking his head negatively.

It felt like a heavy stone had been placed across his chest, and it looked like something he had never seen in his entire life. Lyron's words had succeeded in bringing a wave of confusion in Kael's mind, and as he stared at him, Kael cleared his throat, finding the perfect pitch to talk to Lyron. "What do you mean by that? Has Duke Sylas played one of our intelligence? Does it mean that we are fools?" He questioned raising his brows in annoyance.

With Kael, the slightest thing is enough reason to make him angry, and as he was already annoyed, it is a cool reason to bring his mind to the table right now, serving it as hot as it might be. Lyron rapidly prepared his mind to talk about what is going on in his mind; he knows that it is the worst thing to even think about, but then, he has done it then, nothing is more important than that.

Lifting his head up, he decided to play his mind out for Kael to know how Duke Sylas had actually fooled them and equally played over their psyche. "Who knows, maybe Duke Sylas's intentions had never been to take a minor lordship; instead, it had been the throne of the City of Skull. Yes. It was more like his plan to draw our attention from the crown and bring it towards the lesser posts. Well, that had worked because we didn't even think about it," Lyron blurted out.

As he said this, Kael became very mad in his spirit, which is something that was kind of natural, but then, needed more time to focus his mind. He didn't even know how to control his anger that much, and as he thought that Lyron had known this ever since yet he refused to tell him, Kael moved rapidly from his seat on the settee and struck Lyron across the face.

The blow had hit Lyron's jaw, so much that he feared that it had knocked out a tooth. Unfortunately, that had not happened, but then, the surge of blood gagged out of his mouth. As Kael pulled Lyron away from the chair, he lifted him to face him as he gave out his awful remark. It did not end there, Kael grabbed Lyron by the neck, choking him so hard.

"You, Lyron, I did not know you to be a blackleg, how on earth can you betray me after all that I have done for you? It didn't even earn there, you went ahead betraying the other members of the Red Feather Squad. Like seriously? Am I the only one who is seeing that you deserve to die? Yes, you deserve to receive a bullet in your head, and you trust me, I am going to deal with you for betraying me. I always knew one of you would disgrace me.

I always knew one of you would bring me shame, but coming from you? This is a strange thing, I can't even think about it huh," Kael spat disgustingly.
