Chapter 50 - Han Jianyou

"Then why do you keep yelling that she has an affair with the thugs as if you were there?" Principal Duan asked. He knew Han Ruochen and knew that there was no way she would do such a shameless thing. Thus, he trusted her without a doubt, but Xiao Rui? She had often caused a lot of trouble in the school due to her gossipy nature and had often chased away many of the teachers. If not for the fact that her father was the head of one of the departments of the factory and had some connections, he wouldn't have bothered to listen to Xiao Rui. However, her father had some strong connections, and he had no other choice but to let this woman jump around a little.

"Was it that serious?" Su Mo asked Han Ruochen. He was really shocked. Since when did thugs become so ruthless? He blinked his eyes and questioned, "Is the man who was beaten up alright?"

"I don't know. The man was beaten to a pulp; I couldn't even see his face properly. When he was taken away, he was barely breathing. I don't know if he is alright or not. Nor do I know he is." She added when she saw Xiao Rui open her mouth again. She knew what kind of fart this woman was going to release, as she knew her virtue.

Xiao Rui wanted to make trouble with Han Ruochen, but she couldn't find anything. In the end, she closed her mouth unwillingly.

"Oh dear…"

Everyone in the corridor sucked in a breath. They never expected that the youngsters were so terrible these days. First, they had Yang Jianming's example, and then there was this. These hooligans were really merciless.

If Han Ruochen had not sought help from the police officers, then this man would have been killed.

Principal Duan looked at Han Ruochen with a complicated look in his eyes. He said to her, "You'd better not do something like this again. Even if you are smarter than others, Miss Han, you will be in danger when outnumbered by those thugs." Principal Duan had seen a lot of things and knew more than Han Ruochen. He was worried that after dealing with the thugs hired by Yang Jianming, Han Ruochen had gotten a bit bolder, but she was only lucky the last time around. What if she ended up getting hurt the next time?

"I understand, Principal Duan." Han Ruochen knew that the poor man was only looking after her, so she nodded and didn't say anything further. She then turned to look at Yun Xiaoxiao and said, "Then I will leave the matter of the payment to you."

Yun Xiaoxiao didn't know that today she would get a permanent job, and thus, she didn't bring two thousand yuan with her. She promised Han Ruochen that she would arrange for the money in three days and bring it to the port. Anyway, Han Ruochen trusted Yun Xiaoxiao's character; since she said that she would bring the money to her, then she would definitely bring the money to her.

Once she was done with her business at school, Han Ruochen headed out of the building and went straight to High School Number Three. Her second brother was not good at studying, and he got admitted to High School Number Three after barely passing his middle school exams. The boy was used to skiving off classes and would often bunk his classes.

Han Beijiang raised his head and looked at his sister and tilted his head to one side in confusion. Seeing his cuteness, Han Ruochen nearly melted then and there ,but when she thought about why she came here, her head started to throb. She had a feeling that even if she came here, she was not going to find her brother.

And Han Ruochen's guess was spot on. As soon as she arrived at the staff room, she was caught by Han Jianyou's homeroom teacher, who told her all about the good things that her second brother had done. He never attended his class; he was used to disappearing after the first period, and his attendance was so low that he was on the verge of repeating classes.

"I have called your mother countless times!" said Mr Tang with a rather angry look on his face. "However, she never came to the school and she never attends the parents-teacher meeting. Tell me, Miss Han, are your parents even willing to pay attention to your brother? They haven't even paid the school fees of your brother for more than six months. It was I who took out the special funds for your brother so that he is able to stay in this school, or else he would have been kicked out long ago."

Mr Tang could not understand what was wrong with Han Jianyou's parents; the child was clearly smart, but neither of them paid attention to him, causing him to be led astray by those hooligan friends of his.

When Han Ruochen heard that Han Jianyou's fees hadn't been paid, she was stunned. She knew that her mother was ruthless, but she never knew that she was this cruel. She actually withheld the money that Han Jianyou was supposed to pay to the school. Suddenly, she felt her face was burning with humiliation. She lowered her head and apologised, "I am really sorry. It was our fault; can you calculate how much money we need to pay? Please hand me the notice of the fee delay, and I will give it to my father. It seems like he missed it when he was on his business trip."

Han Ruochen was not foolish enough to pay the money from her own pocket. She knew that this money had gone down the bellies of her mother and Han Ziyan. Since that was the case, then they should be the ones who need to repay the money. Anyway, Han Jianyou was stubborn. That brat wouldn't start magically attending his classes just because she came to see him once; if that was the case, why would she waste her money?
