"By the way… it turns out he actually managed to escape from your hands," Tsunade said, a serious expression forming on her face.
"Hm, about that… not exactly," Yusuke replied. "At the time, I figured you'd be back soon, so I rushed off to buy the stuff and stopped paying attention to him." He looked at Tsunade, whose gaze was steadily filling with anger, and spoke with a hint of guilt.
"You bastard. Are you seriously trying to make me die of anger?" Tsunade glared at him.
"T-That's not it, Tsunade. Don't get mad first. I was scared you'd be angry too," Yusuke quickly explained.
"If you were scared I'd be angry, then why didn't you just kill him on the spot?" Tsunade snapped, her eyes sharp as knives.
She had truly never seen someone this reckless. Just to go buy a gift, he had let a threat like that slip away. She knew better than anyone how strong that bastard was.
"That…" Yusuke turned and silently begged Kurenai and Konan for help with his eyes.
"Tsunade-nee, don't be mad anymore," Kurenai said gently. "You're not the Hokage anymore, so things like this aren't really something you need to worry about. If anyone should be stressing over this, it's Kakashi."
After hearing Kurenai's words, the anger on Tsunade's face faded, and she even let out a small laugh.
"You're right. I almost forgot," Tsunade said. "Fine, let's call it settled this time. But next time, you still have to deal with threats like this properly. If you don't, it could become a danger to the entire shinobi world."
"Okay, okay, don't worry. That guy can be dealt with anytime. He won't be able to cause any big trouble," Yusuke said quickly, putting on a flattering smile.
And just like that, the matter was resolved. Yusuke could return to his laid-back life.
However, while everyone was in the middle of eating, three figures appeared in front of the Hatake family's house.
"Hokage-sama," Black Zetsu said, looking at Kakashi with respect.
"Please, come in," Kakashi replied. "How are things? Did Senior Kaguya come as well? And Senior Madara… it's been a long time."
With that, Kakashi led them inside.
"Hey, Kakashi, why are you bringing people here?" Yusuke said with an unhappy look. "Can't you see we're eating? If you want to talk about official business, go back to the Hokage's office."
"Uh… I kind of feel like this matter still needs to be heard by nii-san," Kakashi said, rubbing his temples in frustration.
"Fine. Sit down," Yusuke said.
"Black Zetsu, explain," Kakashi said, turning to him.
"Yes, Hokage-sama. The situation is like this. I've found several outer members of the Kara organization," Black Zetsu said.
"And what about their core members?" Kakashi asked.
"No traces at all," Black Zetsu replied, frowning. With his abilities, the fact that he couldn't find anyone felt completely unreasonable.
"In that case, Senior Madara, what is the purpose of your visit this time?" Kakashi asked, his tone full of a headache.
He had only just become Hokage, and he already felt regret. But he had no choice. The only thing that made him happy was that Shizune could help ease his workload. On top of that, she was his wife, which made their relationship even better.
"I fought Ōtsutsuki Isshiki," Madara said.
"Oh?" Kakashi's spirits immediately lifted. He looked at Madara, while Tsunade, Kurenai, and Konan all turned their eyes toward Hatake Yusuke at the same time.
In Kaguya's eyes, a flash of fear and panic appeared.
"Is he very strong?" Kakashi asked, looking at Madara.
"The fight was about fifty-fifty," Madara said. "Neither of us used our full power. But what felt strange was that he seemed unwilling to use his full strength. After we fought for a short while, he ran away."
As he spoke, his eyes shone with dissatisfaction and disdain.
Kakashi noticed that everyone around him was now looking at Yusuke.
"Nii-san… do you know something?" Kakashi asked, his face darkening as he stared at him.
"Oh, about that… I think I might've fought him too," Yusuke said, turning his gaze away.
"Nii-san," Kakashi's voice was filled with seriousness, anger clearly showing on his face.
"Alright, alright," Yusuke said, waving it off. "Ōtsutsuki Isshiki isn't unwilling to use his full power. He can't. Back then, when he was injured by Kaguya, he was already on the brink of death. By pure coincidence, an unlucky human passed by, and he possessed that body. But a mortal human body can't contain the overwhelming power of an Ōtsutsuki. That's why, when he fought Madara, his body couldn't endure it. Right now, he's searching for a suitable vessel."
"Then what exactly are his abilities?" Kakashi asked, turning to look at Kaguya.
"I don't know the details," Kaguya said. "I only know that his status within the Ōtsutsuki clan is very special, and his bloodline underwent a mutation."
"A bloodline mutation?"
"Yes," Kaguya replied. "The Ōtsutsuki clan places extreme importance on bloodline purity. The reason I was able to become his partner was because my blood was pure enough. She paused before continuing.
"Also, the higher-ups of the Ōtsutsuki clan usually have the Rinnegan. Isshiki doesn't have the Rinnegan, but he possesses eyes whose power is no less than the Rinnegan."
"Senior Madara, when you fought him, did he use the Rinnegan?" Kakashi asked.
"It was an extremely troublesome ability," Madara said. "He can shrink and enlarge himself or inanimate objects. On top of that, he can absorb ninjutsu and use space-time ninjutsu. His mastery of the five elements is extremely high. If we're only talking about taijutsu, he can even shatter my Susanoo with his bare body."
"Nii-san, what else do you know?" Kakashi asked, looking at Yusuke, who was still calmly eating. He was certain his older brother knew far more than any of them.
"Oh, that eye is called the Kokugan. It really is the result of a mutation," Yusuke said. "His Byakugan isn't simple either. But in terms of overall strength, he should be on par with Madara's Six Paths Mode. Just not as strong as Kaguya."
Hearing that, Kaguya's face unconsciously turned a little red.
"Then how did your fight with him turn out?" Kakashi asked.
"Ninety-ten," Yusuke answered without hesitation.
"His abilities are pretty much what Madara described. He can shrink objects down to a molecular level, and enlarge their volume and weight. The reason he can smash through Susanoo with his body also has to do with that ability," Yusuke explained.
"The reason you can't find him is because he's hiding in another dimension. That's why you can't track him. But if Sasuke were to investigate, you might still be able to find some clues," Yusuke added.
"Then what about Kamui?" Kakashi asked. "If I work together with Obito, Kamui can even open Kaguya's dimension."
"It won't work," Yusuke said, shaking his head. "No matter how powerful Kamui is, it's still just the Mangekyō Sharingan. The power of those eyes isn't enough to shake that dimension. That dimension was created by Isshiki using the power of the Ten-Tails."
Kakashi and the others fell into silence, deep in thought.
"This isn't something you need to worry about," Madara said. "Leave it to me. My dōjutsu can also tear open space."
"Oh right, Senior Madara," Kakashi said. "Other than the Eight-Tails and the Nine-Tails, there are no other Jinchūriki for the Tailed Beasts. If Isshiki merges with the Ten-Tails, you could make use of the power of the Tailed Beasts."
"Hmph. There's no need," Madara replied arrogantly.
What truly bothered him was the comparison Hatake Yusuke had made.
He had just said "fifty-fifty," and Hatake Yusuke immediately fired back with "ninety-ten."
