Chapter 87 - Chapter 87: The Second Hokage's Water Style

Chapter 87: The Second Hokage's Water Style

"Why are you two talking again? I still don't understand what's going on."

Sāra couldn't help but interrupt their conversation. "Why do you need to protect me?"

"Your Majesty, have you not thought about why you fell from the tower?"

Hanekawa prompted.

Sāra was stunned for a moment, then she remembered that someone had pushed her.

But at that moment, there was only a puppet behind her, and the only person who could control the puppet was Anrokuzan.

"Impossible!"

Sāra's face showed an expression of disbelief. "How could Uncle Anrokuzan lie to me?!"

Uncles are all bad people, Hanekawa thought, they just want to make money, oh no, to unify the ninja world.

Just as Hanekawa was about to speak, he heard footsteps.

"The puppets found us!"

Kurenai's face changed slightly.

Just as she spoke, a group of puppets surrounded them.

Water Style: Water Pillar!

Kurenai put her hands together, and a massive amount of chakra surged out.

In front of her, a vortex of water appeared out of thin air.

The water spread out like a waterfall, enveloping all the puppets.

The powerful impact sent the puppets flying back.

"Let's go!"

Kurenai grabbed Sāra and rushed outside.

Body Flicker Technique!

Hanekawa quickly followed.

Cracking and rattling sounds continued to ring out.

One-third of the puppets survived Kurenai's water style. They raised their hands.

Purple chakra, like sharp arrows, flew toward them at high speed.

Water Style: Water Wall!

Kurenai turned around, slapped the ground, and a wall of water rose up.

The purple chakra was blocked, but with that delay, more puppets flew towards them.

"This way!"

Just then, Tsunade flashed in front of Hanekawa.

She looked at the puppets and directly lifted her leg.

Tsūtenkyaku (Painful Sky Leg)!

An application of her monstrous strength.

The ground cracked, centered around her, and countless碎碎碎 stones flew out.

The closest puppets were directly riddled with holes and turned into piles of scrap metal.

The more distant puppets weren't spared either. They lost their balance and fell into the deep pit created by the Tsūtenkyaku.

"Is it really the Hokage?!"

Kurenai's eyes widened.

Did Tsunade follow them to protect them after giving them the mission?

"What Hokage? Who is this girl? I've never seen her before."

Tsunade was confused, but the situation was urgent. She didn't ask more questions and ran, grabbing Hanekawa.

A moment later, the four of them entered an extremely secluded building.

They had shaken off the puppets, and they were not being followed.

"Lady Hokage."

Kurenai put Sāra down, walked up to Tsunade, and bowed.

Tsunade's face was full of question marks.

When did I become Hokage? Why don't I know?

"Wait for us here."

Hanekawa pulled Tsunade to the side, leaving a confused Kurenai behind.

"What's going on?"

Tsunade looked at Kurenai from a distance. "Is something wrong with her?"

"Master Tsunade, you must not be scared by what I'm about to say."

Hanekawa gave her a heads-up. After all, time travel sounded too unbelievable.

"I'm a ninja. I'm not scared."

Tsunade rolled her eyes at him. "You're being mysterious. Stop talking nonsense and tell me."

"She is Yuhi Kurenai."

Hanekawa said with a serious expression.

"Which Yuhi Kurenai?"

Tsunade was taken aback and asked.

"Which other Yuhi Kurenai is there?"

Hanekawa explained, "She's the daughter of Crimson Yuhi."

"Huh?"

Tsunade looked at Kurenai, then at Hanekawa. "Come on, let me check you."

"I'm not sick!"

Hanekawa shook his head helplessly. "She is the future Yuhi Kurenai. She traveled back in time to our present because of the Ryūmyaku."

"How about... I still check you?"

Tsunade was silent for a few seconds before asking.

Hanekawa grabbed her wrist. "Don't you think she looks just like a grown-up Yuhi Kurenai? And she thinks you're the Hokage."

Tsunade fell into deep thought.

Although what Hanekawa said was too outrageous, after looking closely, she did indeed look like Yuhi Kurenai.

Did I really become Hokage?

Tsunade suddenly felt strange inside. She clearly didn't want to be Hokage, so why did she end up becoming one?

Is it because of Hanekawa?

She suddenly remembered that birthday last year.

Hanekawa had said that she would be the Fourth Hokage, and he would be the Fifth.

"No matter what, let's do the mission first."

Hanekawa saw that she couldn't accept it for a while and suggested.

Tsunade nodded slightly.

"One more thing."

Hanekawa said with a serious tone, "To avoid problems caused by the temporal paradox, we should try to ask as little as possible about the future."

"If what you say is true, then after the mission is over, it's best for us to seal each other's memories."

Tsunade proposed the same solution that Minato had in the original story.

"Let's go."

Hanekawa had no objections and said.

"I discussed it with the queen. She'll take us to see Anrokuzan and ask him directly."

Kurenai saw them approaching and asked, "Lady Hokage, what do you think?"

"Let's wait for Minato first."

Tsunade suppressed the strange feeling in her heart and said.

The focus of this mission was the Ryūmyaku, not the queen of Rōran. Sealing the Ryūmyaku was the only way to stop Anrokuzan.

Hanekawa also nodded.

Neither he nor Tsunade could perform sealing jutsus. Only Minato could.

And if they didn't seal the Ryūmyaku, Kurenai and his future self might not be able to go back, which would lead to unpredictable danger.

"Minato-senpai is here too?"

Kurenai asked with a surprised expression.

Mukade was a jonin, but his strength was just that. He was not worth the Hidden Leaf Village sending such a formidable lineup.

"Do you have a way to contact your teammate?"

Hanekawa changed the subject and asked.

"I tried to contact him, but I didn't get a response."

Kurenai frowned and said with a puzzled face, "It's as if... he's no longer in Rōran."

Not in Rōran?

Hanekawa thought of a possibility.

The Ryūmyaku's time travel was not a fixed timeline.

In the original story, Mukade and Uzumaki Naruto traveled through time together, but Mukade arrived six years earlier.

Perhaps his future self had traveled to a different timeline.

Hanekawa's heart suddenly shook.

He thought of the story of the Sage of Six Paths that he saw, which was slightly different from the original story.

If it were him, he would indeed make those changes.

"Little boy, what's your name?"

While they were waiting, Kurenai looked at Hanekawa curiously. "You tell me your name first."

Hanekawa countered.

"Yuhi Kurenai."

Kurenai stroked his head with a smile. "Can you tell me now?"

Wait, how did you learn to pat my head too? Who taught you?

Hanekawa wasn't prepared, so he didn't dodge her sudden attack.

He gave a slight cough and used his go-to move again: changing the subject.

"Sister Kurenai."

Hanekawa revealed an innocent smile and asked, "Your Water Style is amazing. Can you teach me?"

Wow, he's so cute!

Kurenai's eyes lit up.

She already liked Hanekawa, and now that she saw a little boy who looked so much like him when he was little, she was naturally happy.

And he even called her "sister."

"I can."

Kurenai said proudly, "In the village, my Water Style is good enough to be in the top five."

Top five?

There aren't many people in the Leaf Village who can use Water Style, are there?

Hanekawa pulled her and said, "Let's spar over there."

He wanted to see if he could acquire the Water Style talent from Kurenai.

After all, he had nothing else to do.

"Hey, your name!"

Kurenai came to her senses and shouted.

"Tachibana Taki."

Hanekawa made a random name up.

Kurenai was slightly taken aback.

She had never heard that name before, but she found that Hanekawa not only looked like her student, but even his personality was similar.

How strange.

"Sister Kurenai."

Hanekawa made the Confrontation Seal and said, "Please only use Water Style."

"Okay."

Kurenai snapped out of it and said, "Be careful."

Water Style: Violent Water Wave!

A large amount of water suddenly spewed from her mouth, hitting Hanekawa like a waterfall.

Although it was a basic Water Style jutsu, it produced a huge amount of power in her hands.

Body Flicker Technique!

Hanekawa didn't say a word and ran away.

"Your speed is good."

Kurenai praised, and her body disappeared from where she was standing.

She directly caught up with Hanekawa, a kunai in her hand.

Water Style: Water Blade Slash!

The kunai trembled slightly, and water surged out, covering it.

Hanekawa pulled out his katana and blocked the kunai.

A huge force hit him, numbing his arm and causing him to retreat.

Kurenai didn't press the attack. She stood in place, her eyes flickering.

Even his jutsus and swordsmanship were so similar to Hanekawa's.

She put away her kunai and made hand signs.

Water Style: Water Bullet!

She waved her hands, and water bullets shot out.

Body Flicker Technique!

Hanekawa quickly dodged.

Kurenai was already holding back, but the difference in strength was too great.

And Hanekawa noticed that all the Water Style jutsus she used came from the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama.

Tsunade, who was watching nearby, noticed it even earlier than he did.

She finally believed that what Hanekawa said was true.

If she hadn't come from the future, how would there be a ninja who could use her great-grandfather's Water Style?

"I'm done!"

Hanekawa created some distance and said.

He had tried to fight back as much as possible, even using his monstrous strength, but she had blocked all of his attacks.

But he had achieved his goal.

In front of him, two lines of text appeared.

[D-rank talent 'So Much Water' has been upgraded.]

[Water Style talent has been increased by 100% of its original base.]

A 70% increase at once could be considered a great victory.

This was also Hanekawa's third C-rank talent after Yin Style and Yang Style.

"Little boy, you're truly amazing."

Kurenai said meaningfully, "When I was your age, I was nowhere near as good as you, but there's one person who's similar to you."

Did she find out?

Hanekawa was about to speak when he felt a distorted spatial fluctuation.

Kurenai immediately looked vigilant.

It wasn't until Namikaze Minato's figure appeared that she relaxed, but then her heart was shaken again.

Why does he look so much younger?

Tsunade's appearance didn't change because of her Yin Seal, but Minato didn't have one.

At this moment, Kurenai's confusion reached its peak.

"Minato-senpai."

Hanekawa pulled Minato to the side and told him about the current situation.

"So that's what happened?"

Minato's ability to accept new things was stronger than Tsunade's. He quickly returned to normal.

"Minato-senpai, have you found the Ryūmyaku?"

Hanekawa breathed a sigh of relief and asked.

"It's under Rōran."

Minato said hesitantly, "But it's missing a core location."

"Sāra, as the queen of Rōran, should know where it is."

Hanekawa paused. "Let's go see Anrokuzan now."

"Alright."

Minato thought for a moment and agreed.

He didn't believe that Anrokuzan could defeat him and Tsunade. Since that was the case, they should end this quickly.
