Though Thor presented himself as a complete meathead—a muscle-bound brute who seemed to have all brawn and no brains—in reality, as an Asgardian god and royalty, his intellect was more than sufficient. Of course, that was only if he actually chose to use it.
Having a photographic memory was just the beginning. Lately, he had spent every spare moment scouring ancient texts, reading through countless volumes. He knew this knowledge would be crucial for deciphering Lin Feng's diary in the future, as the entries were too fragmented and required external context to make sense.
This was a task his father, Odin, had specifically ordered him to undertake.
Through this research, Thor uncovered truths that had long been hidden from him.
"Sithorn is a renowned Demon Lord," Thor explained. "To put it simply, he is one of many Dimensional Demon Gods. In an era so ancient I can't even describe it, Earth was home to many Ancient Gods."
That era was so distant that even Asgard's records were murky. The only reason they knew anything at all was that Asgard itself was descended from one of those very same Demon Lords.
They were born gods, not evolving step by step like Tony Stark and his friends imagined—and that was the *degraded* version of the story.
*An era so ancient that even Asgard doesn't know how to describe it?*
*Could it be the Age of Diners?*
*Are these Demon Lords some kind of dinosaur-people?*
"One of them was Sithorn," Thor the God of Thunder explained. "Later, for reasons unknown, these powerful Ancient Gods clashed and turned against each other. In that process, some of the Ancient Gods fell and became demons. This Sithorn was the first demon in history, hailed as the God of Black Magic—the source of all black magic power!"
"Later, Sithorn apparently lost a battle against other Ancient Demon Lords and was forced to flee to other dimensions, becoming a Dimensional Demon God!"
"If Sithorn was exiled after losing an ancient war, doesn't that mean our world still hides some of these Ancient Gods?" Nick Fury asked. "Does Dormammu count?"
Everyone's hair stood on end. Following this logic, it seemed entirely plausible.
And they only knew the tip of the iceberg—beings like Dormammu.
But even the Demon Lords they *did* know were enough to crush them with pressure. It felt as if a planet-sized head was bearing down on them.
Though Doctor Strange had managed to send Dormammu back, everyone knew it wasn't due to a lack of power. It wasn't that Dormammu was weak; it was that the Time Stone's abilities were simply too broken.
If Dormammu served as a benchmark for the power of a Dimensional Demon God, then just how terrifying were these beings? And yet, such a formidable entity was merely a *loser* of the Ancient War?
What kind of monsters must the victors be?
*The waters of this Earth are deeper than I ever imagined,* he thought, his scalp tingling.
No wonder Lin Feng always said the Earth was too deep. It was a shallow pond teeming with turtles, a small temple with howling demons.
How could a backwater planet, insignificant even within the Milky Way Galaxy, be home to so many terrifying monsters?
"Dormammu is not!" Thor declared. "Dormammu was a sorcerer from long ago. He encountered some unknown opportunity and used some unknown method to discard his physical body and merge with the Dark Dimension, becoming the Dimensional Demon God known as Dormammu. Sithorn, on the other hand, was the first demon in existence, dating back billions of years. They aren't the same type of being, even though they're both categorized as Dimensional Demon Gods!"
The group finally understood the distinction. However, Tony Stark couldn't help but interject, "So, you're saying an ordinary person can become a Dimensional Demon God after the fact?"
"Yes," Thor nodded. "Theoretically, there are no innate Dimensional Demon Gods. They are all beings that merged with a dimension and mastered it to become one. While there are Ancient Gods from the primordial era like Sithorn, there are also ordinary sorcerers like Dormammu."
"Do you know how many Dimensional Demon Gods there are in total?" Nick Fury asked.
"It's impossible to count how many Dimensional Demon Gods there are. Even Asgard doesn't know!" Thor shook his head. "Many of them appeared long before Asgard was founded, and many haven't been active in the Main Universe for eons. Not every Dimensional Demon God harbors such immense ambition for the Main Universe. After all, many of them aren't even that powerful. We don't even know which universes or dimensions they reside in. Perhaps Kamar-Taj knows more."
"Among the Dimensional Demon Gods, Dormammu and Sithorn are considered some of the most powerful representatives," Thor added.
Everyone nodded as they absorbed this information. Now it made sense. This also aligned with what Lin Feng had jokingly said earlier—that the Dimensional Demon Gods killed by the Ancient One could circle the solar system. Not all Dimensional Demon Gods were as powerful or absurd as Dormammu.
"And what Sithorn left behind is the so-called Darkhold," Thor continued. "It's essentially the origin book of all dark magic in this universe. You could say that all dark magic can be traced back to this single book! However, the book is too evil, so even in the distant past, no major faction could tolerate its existence. Now that Wanda is searching for it, I suspect she has grand designs."
"But back then, Wanda had lost everything—her brother, her husband, her child," Black Widow Natasha said, offering a comforting pat to Wanda beside her. "A mother who has lost everything... it's understandable."
Wanda felt completely wronged. What did she have to do with this? But then again, it was her parallel-universe counterpart, so how could she say it was unrelated?
"Alright, so what is this Book of Vishanti?" Tony Stark asked. "What's this book all these magic-wielding Sorcerers keep rambling about?"
"The Book of Vishanti is the polar opposite of the Darkhold," Thor explained. "It's the source of all white magic in this world! And the Vishanti aren't a single person, but a trio of incredibly powerful Demon Lords: the All-Knowing Oshtur, the All-Seeing Agamotto, and the Ancient Hoggs!"
"Wait, Agamotto?" Tony Stark suddenly remembered. "Isn't that the Time Stone, the Eye of Agamotto?"
"Why does that name sound so familiar?" Tony Stark thought. "Wait, when I saw the video about the Time Stone, its alias was the Eye of Agamotto!"
"Yes, that's right, the Eye of Agamotto—the Time Stone!" Thor nodded. "The Time Stone is named after Agamotto!"
"The three of them form a group called the Vishanti, a kind of Trinity," Thor explained. "I read about this in the libraries of Asgard, but I don't know the full details. I might need to do more research, or I can ask my father if he knows more. But one thing is certain: the Vishanti are the source of all white magic in the universe, as well as the source of the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj!"
"I see!" Tony Stark nodded.
The others couldn't help but feel a chill run down their spines. So, there were Demon Lords standing behind Kamar-Taj all along. If the Ancient One, whom they trained, was already this terrifying, how formidable must these three Demon Lords be? The source of white magic—that sounded incredibly powerful.
Thor's nerves tightened as he spoke. Recently, Odin had been lecturing him on Earth's terrifying nature. Asgard had always exercised extreme restraint when it came to Earth—and not just Asgard. The Olympian pantheon, the Egyptian pantheon, and even the Eastern Heavenly Court all kept their distance from the planet.
He hadn't understood it before, thinking Earth was just some backwater planet. Even its inclusion in Asgard's Nine Realms seemed absurd enough. He never imagined the true depth of its secrets.
It was truly a case of "a shallow pond with many turtles, a small temple with great winds"—a place where the surface belied a chaotic and dangerous interior.
If Earth had any "local specialties," it wasn't written in history books; it was the sheer number of powerhouses.
Countless Ancient Gods had been born here. Though many were now exiled from Earth and had become Dimensional Demon Gods, they all still kept a watchful eye on the planet.
If Asgard ever truly conquered Earth, they would be the ones forced to defend it against these Dimensional Demon Gods.
He had always wondered why Earth harbored so many super-powered beings. Even the Ancient One, who operated openly, was already on par with his Father King.
And that was to say nothing of the Vishanti behind Kamar-Taj—beings who likely stood above even the so-called Skyfather level.
Who knew how many Dimensional Demon Gods were hidden behind this tiny Earth?
By now, everyone had probably realized just how bizarre this Earth was, and how many terrifying beings were concealed within it.
On the screen, Wanda and the Sorcerer Supreme had already entered the tomb. Legend had it that this was Sithorn's grave. Of course, the audience watching from outside the screen wouldn't believe such nonsense. Powerful Dimensional Demon Gods were often immortal and indestructible. Destroying them was no easy feat.
Just look at Dormammu!
