Chapter Sixteen: A post that said nothing
The morning after the listening session, Dayo arrived at JD Records earlier than usual. He had spent some time at home with Luna and Jennifer before leaving, and although he had several things to attend to, he was in no particular hurry. Beautiful Things was complete, the people closest to him had heard it, and the next stage would be handled by the company. For the first time in weeks, he wasn't thinking about another recording session or a final adjustment to a song.
Wayne was already in the building when Dayo arrived. He had been at his desk for a while, going through some production reports, but he seemed more interested in his phone than the documents in front of him. When Dayo walked into the office, Wayne looked up and greeted him before returning his attention to the screen.
"You seem busy this morning," Dayo remarked as he placed his phone on the desk.
