When they finally got into the car, Alice let out a long breath. "You just threw a grenade into the media, you know that?"
Dayo leaned his head back, eyes half-closed. "Yeah," he said quietly. "That was the point."
She looked at him for a moment, then smiled slightly. "You really don't know how to stay quiet, do you?"
He chuckled. "Not when silence means losing."
Dayo sat in the car with Alice, and it was quiet for a while. He was thinking about how he had released a killing aura that screamed danger to Michael. He hoped that even if it didn't stop him — which he knew was impossible — at least it would give him a break or a little time to think and create plans, because everything was falling apart faster than expected.
This was one of the reasons he did that interview — he hoped it would at least stall Michael or put pressure on him. Then he remembered that the interview might not even be aired or released, and he felt deflated.
