The blank sheet of paper stretched endlessly around them, pure and untouched. Kaouspeur stood at its center, flipping the coin between his fingers as his voice echoed through the void.
"All of creation exists on a binary system of opposite and direction, of cause and effect," he said calmly. "Where one thing equals another. That's why we keep following a particular system and suffer for it when we go against the rules."
"But that's..." Kairos began, confusion flickering in his eyes. "We have to follow the will of the Creator. If we don't, we suffer the consequences." He looked down at his own hands, bewildered. "Wait...how can I even understand what you're saying?"
Kaouspeur smiled faintly. "You see, I told you that you could do something if you actually flipped the switch of your hidden skill and abilities. You'd see how powerful you truly are. A lion could be killed by hyenas..."
With a single thought, the world around them shifted. Suddenly, they stood upon the vast savannah of Earth, watching a group of hyenas chasing a young lion. Dust swirled beneath the burning sun as the pack surrounded their prey.
"Look," Kaouspeur said, gesturing toward the scene. "The hyenas are oppressing the young lion. Do you know why?"
"Because... because it's weak!" Kaito shouted as the hyenas lunged, sinking their teeth into the lion's arm.
"Well, it is weak...but only in its mind."
Kaouspeur raised his hand and breathed softly toward the lion. Instantly, the beast's eyes glowed with primal fire. It roared, leaping to its feet, slashing and biting with newfound ferocity. The hyenas yelped and fled in terror.
"Wow... you just..." Auxo whispered, her voice filled with awe.
Kaouspeur turned to them, his expression unreadable. "Everyone is not actually free if they are trapped by a system. Even you, Kairos. You say we must follow the will of the Creator? No. We are given an illusion. Freedom itself is an illusion. What I want to do is destroy that system."
The coin flipped again, and in an instant, the scene dissolved. They were back in Kaouspeur's throne room. He sat once more upon his seat, adorned in his regal form and divine garments.
"You're trying to make us understand what is truly going on here," Nyx said softly. "How wise... but what would happen if you erase yourself? Would it not bring a collapse? For as darkness cannot exist without light, so can they not coexist."
Kaouspeur's lips curved into a small, knowing smile. "Who says they can't? You just haven't tried it yet, my dear. My erasure does not mean the concept of chaos will leave the world."
"What do you mean?" Auxo asked, her voice trembling.
"My concept is a constant in all of creation and in everything that exists," Kaouspeur explained. "If I erase myself, though you may not remember what happened here, I assure you everything will be fine. Therefore, I will separate the human, the divine, the chaos, the spiritual, the physical, the metaphysical, the demonic, and all realms beneath me so they may exist simultaneously and on their own in peace. To prevent wars from erupting among them, I will form layers upon layers of dimensions...each one with a lower altitude than the other."
He waved his hand, and an image of an egg appeared before them. With graceful motion, he peeled away the shell, then the white, then the yolk, each layer glowing with cosmic energy.
"Who would rule over these dimensions then?" Nyx asked in concern. "The gods are incompetent. The demons would likely bring war to humans. The spirits and other races would be wiped out."
"With time," Kaouspeur said gently, "a wise ruler will be granted a staff and will gain knowledge enough to rule the realms—with all of them being connected to a tree..."
He paused, catching himself from revealing too much. "I know that guardians will rise to maintain peace. But for now, we must divide the realms."
"My son... please, forgive me. I have not been..." Kairos began, his voice breaking as tears welled in his eyes.
"Father, I hold no grudge against thee," Kaouspeur said, his voice tender. "I forbid it. The truth is, you are the best father I could ever have even better than the Creator who fathered me. I love and appreciate you, Dad."
He stepped forward and embraced Kairos tightly, and both wept in each other's arms.
"I am proud of the man thou hast become," Kairos said through tears. "And I know your daughter would be happy with who you are now, in Valhalla."
Kaouspeur chuckled faintly. "Nah, they're in Heaven. Might stop by there when I reincarnate," he said, glancing around with a wistful smile.
"You don't have to erase yourself," Kaito said suddenly, his voice trembling. "We can still fight. I don't want to lose you, my king, the one I have served. Who's going to rule the humans, the demons, and the demi-humans, and the other races? We'll miss your tales, your stories of the strange world you said you came from... your jokes, your spars, everything you've done with us. My king..."
Kaito's voice cracked as tears streamed down his face. "I'll really miss fighting against you!"
Kaouspeur looked at him with warmth and sadness. "I understand, my loyal friend of the human realm and king of heroes Gilgamesh Kaito Lunga," he said, calling his full name. "But understand this: Time will reveal all things and show us the fruit of our efforts today."
"No," Kaito said with a weak smile, "you're the king of heroes, Gilgamesh. Not me."
"Not anymore, I guess," Kaouspeur said softly. He raised his hand. "I have a gift for thee."
A key materialized in his palm. He tossed it gently toward Kaito.
The key hit the ground with a crash, the impact cracking the floor beneath it. Kaito struggled to lift it. "What is that?" he asked, astonished.
"I can't get any reading of this weapon at all," Nyx murmured, her eyes narrowing. "What is that thing?"
Kaouspeur smiled faintly. "It hasn't existed before. It's a copy of my Chaos Eyes of Non-Existence and Existence the only weapon that can truly kill me. It's technically useless to anyone if they welded it against me except I permit them ."
"So are you sure you want to leave such a weapon with a mortal?" Auxo asked warily.
"Yes," Kaouspeur replied. "I love them that much. And again, it can become any weapon the wielder wishes."
He turned to the key and spoke, his voice echoing through the hall. "Klaus... play nice."
The key shimmered, transforming into a long, transparent sword crystalline and pure as diamond. Its blade refracted light into a thousand colors as it floated into Kaito's hand.
"So... we're doing it now?" Kairos asked, sorrow weighing in his voice.
"Yes," Kaouspeur said softly. "I do not wish to remember or know where or when I will reincarnate, but I know that I surely will. And when I do, I'll be friends with my brother in the future." He winked at Kairos.
"My king," Kaito said suddenly, gripping the sword tightly. "I have a request."
"What is it?" Kaouspeur asked, meeting his eyes.
Kaito's expression hardened. "Forgive me," he whispered.
He lifted the sword Klaus Cyntorie and plunged it deep into Kaouspeur's chest. The blade pierced through his essence, destroying his soul and erasing him from existence.
"The next time we meet," Kaito said through his tears, "we shall be friends."
Kaouspeur smiled faintly as his form began to dissolve into radiant light. "Ah... sounds like a good idea. And I'll fight with you again next time we meet."
"Yeah," Kaito whispered. "Yes, we will."
At that moment, reality itself began to shatter like glass. Cracks spread across the fabric of existence, and fragments of every concept light, sound, matter, emotion spiraled outward, transforming into living entities. The cosmos erupted in a blinding explosion of white light that enveloped everything across all realms and dimensions beneath the Chaos realm
Then the light faded and all was silent.
