Chapter 12 - Unprofessional assassin

Osiroh, the old rugby field.

Luzia, Jelian, and Aiden were standing in the middle of the field.

Luzia was standing, activating her ability, making her body disappear, and watching Jelian and Aiden, who were ready to fight.

"Aren't you going to face me with your ability?" Jelian asked.

"I don't need to. I can defeat you without my ability." Aiden responded sarcastically, wanting to provoke Jelian.

Jelian responded angrily, saying, "Oh really?!! Then show me how you'll do it!"

Jelian launched an attack at Aiden, a scene similar to the previous fight in the store.

This time, however, they had more moves and offensive techniques than before, as they had become familiar with each other's tactics.

Jelian tried to pressure Aiden, launching deadly attacks in succession.

But Aiden blocked all of this and avoided some, successfully launching fists at Jelian.

From a distance, a person might see the situation favoring Jelian, but only those with experience know the exact opposite.

Just as Aiden planned, he grabbed his arm and quickly, without delay, swung it toward Jelian's back, then grabbed his shoulder and slammed his body toward her.

He was pressing down on Jelian's body, and the latter couldn't move at all. Jelian struggled to get out of it.

But a powerful blow to the back of the head ended the fight, and Jelian fell unconscious.

This confused Luzia, who quickly emerged from her invisibility position.

Aiden noticed this and knew she was distracted by the fight.

"What's wrong, Luzia? Are you tired already?"

"Huh, huh?" Luzia was breathing heavily, but she relaxed and said, "No, I'm not tired. I didn't think you could defeat Jelian so easily."

Aiden didn't reply, but thought to himself, "Is it possible that she can remain invisible for so long, as long as she doesn't get distracted and confused and then undo the invisibility? Let's test that!"

"Listen, you have to go to the wall and sit there, and activate your ability. Don't come back here until you're completely done with it and can no longer do it."

"Huh? Why?"

"Do as I say, in addition, the fight with Jelian will be even more fierce, so you'd better stay safe there."

The thought of the fierceness of the fight was merely an excuse, but it convinced Luzia, and she moved with a slight frown.

She walked until she reached the wall of the stands, found a large stone, and sat down on it.

She frowned and sighed, but she did as Aiden had ordered.

At that moment, Jelian woke up and stood up, scratching his head vigorously.

A few moments later, he realized what had happened and realized he'd lost consciousness while fighting Aiden.

Jelian was deeply upset and frowned. He looked at Aiden with a cold expression, saying, "You bastard, what have you done?"

Jelian didn't realize how he'd been defeated. In fact, he'd barely even suffered any losses in his fights since the Great Cataclysm, due to his ability to regenerate.

No matter what anyone or any monster tried to do, they would eventually recover, and it would be their opponent who lost.

Because of this, he used his ability to ambush his opponent. When he believed he had succeeded in killing them, he would completely relax his defenses. That moment would be a fatal move, and he would suffer a complete defeat.

So he couldn't accept the idea that he had lost. From his perspective, even if he died several times, he would still come back and continue until the end.

Aiden smiled broadly and mocked him, saying, "Hahaha, you poor thing, you don't even know what happened to you."

Jelian became furious and said, "shut the fuck up!!!"

"Of course you wouldn't know, but my friend, you haven't faced anyone who knows about your ability, so winning was easy for you. But what about someone who does know? You faced someone like him?"

Jelian remained silent and gritted his teeth, but he didn't respond. He was right. He hadn't faced anyone who knew about his ability. In fact, everyone who knew was already dead, except for Nandi, of course.

"You may not know, but there are many ways to defeat you without dying, and your fighting style is very simple. You fight the person until they become more serious, leaving your defenses open so they can kill you. When they think they've won and have lowered their guard, you pounce on them and kill them immediately."

Aiden explained Jelian's attack style in detail, and he learned all of this in just two quick fights. Even the first fight didn't last long.

With his experience in battles and combat, he learned this quickly, and this gives you a hint of what he said earlier: never underestimate the rankers.

Jelian stood there, gritting his teeth. He was stuck in a dilemma he didn't know how to solve. He had never faced an opponent like this before. Even a giant white anaconda wasn't much for him, but this time it was a whole new level.

"Now what are you going to do? If all I have to do is knock you unconscious, what are you going to do right now if someone shows up and tries to do something to Nandi?"

As soon as he heard his sister's name, he exploded with anger and unleashed a fierce killing intent. But he remained standing. This would be a complete defeat, one he would regret for the rest of his life.

"I will fight to the end, no matter the cost. I will not surrender," Jelian finally replied, looking coldly at Aiden.

"This won't be enough!. You can't rely on this method at all. You won't even be able to use it when there are several people around. You have to strengthen yourself and fight beyond your ability!"

"That's easy for you. Don't think I'm powerless in these situations." After this sentence, Jelian launched himself to attack Aiden.

The two began to fight.

From far away, Luzia looked at them with complete boredom, sighing several times. "Hmm, I'm really bored. They're training together and seem to be enjoying themselves, but I'm far away and he ordered me to activate my ability." She sighed and lay back on the ground.

Luzia had already removed her ability, no longer caring about what Aiden had ordered.

At that moment, a shadow appeared over Luzia's face, and when she opened her eyes, she saw a huge figure in front of her. She was utterly startled.

"I don't see you training at all." Rossi, wearing wide black pants and a green T-shirt, stood there, mocking the situation.

"What are you doing here?"

"To train you, of course! Aiden saw you weren't training, so he assigned the task to me."

"Ahhh, I'm bored with all this. I want to go home and finish my pizza." Luzia sighed, not wanting to train again.

"..., You know, Aiden said if you complete the training, you'll get extra points and a nice discount."

"Really!!!" That immediately piqued her interest, and she was so excited that she stood up.

While Jelian slept in the new apartment, Luzia enjoyed the high-quality service and luxury in the new home.

Not everything was free; some services required payment, and even food orders had their own price.

She paid for them with the social points she earned. Luzia didn't have as many as Jelian.

This was because she hadn't officially gone on a mission and hadn't participated in combat with them.

However, she earned the points she did because she was new to Osiroh, and anyone new to Osiroh receives an advance of 1,500 points.

Because she joined the Special Forces, she earned an advance of 5,000 points.

That's why the men volunteered for the squad. None of them had any experience with weapons or combat, but they wanted to do what they could to earn a lot of points, risking their lives. This was a huge responsibility for them.

Now, Luzia had a lot of points, and the cost of living in the suite wouldn't count because it was at the squad's expense. Everything else was at her own expense.

So the idea of a discount and increased points was as tempting as cash, and she was completely excited about it.

"Hahaha, all women are exactly the same. Now follow me, we'll need a better place than this."

Rossi and Luzia moved into one of the changing rooms, leaving Jelian and Aiden alone.

The room was completely destroyed, and all the lockers were destroyed and piled on top of each other.

With his physical strength, Rossi was able to move as much of it as possible, leaving a large, spacious space in the middle.

Rossi patted his palms and wiped the dust off his hands. Oddly, they weren't as dirty as the houses abandoned years ago, but were a little cleaner in comparison.

The walking area was 7 x 7 meters, which was more than enough for them.

"Okay, Miss Noronha, we'll train here."

"Do I have to use my ability for as long as possible?" Luzia asked, scanning every corner of the room.

"No, this time you'll disappear from my sight and try to sneak attack me with this." Rossi threw a weapon at Luzia.

Luzia picked up the weapon, finding it to be a simple lemon-colored rubber dagger.

"Don't worry, it won't cause any harm. Now do you understand what you have to do? Start attacking me, and I'll try to hold you back as long as I can. Let's see how far you can stab me."

Luzia understood this, and indeed, she prepared herself, activated her ability, and completely disappeared from Rossi's sight.

At that moment, Rossi became more serious, his concentration sharpening, observing everything with his eyes and hearing everything with his ears.

A rustle, a rustle...

He heard a sound from behind him and quickly moved, instinctively grasping the air.

And indeed, in his grip, he was grasping Luzia's face, and she had already canceled her ability, wincing in pain.

"Ouch, that hurts..." Luzia frowned deeply as she wiped the area of the fist.

"Hahaha, don't underestimate my military experience, but if you can't stab me, you won't get the points or the deduction."

Luzia gritted her teeth, provoked by Rossi's words. She activated her ability and disappeared.

Rossi became more alert than before. He expected Luzia to have learned from her mistake and become more aware of her surroundings.

"I stabbed you. Hehe, I win!" Luzia rejoiced.

Rossi was surprised by this. He didn't feel anything until she canceled her ability and felt the rubber dagger poking him in the right back of his waist.

Eden was confused and thought of something that frightened him. Luzia's ability has the potential to undetect an opponent if they touch it, and it applies to whatever she's holding or wearing.

This means he won't feel the stab until it's too late, the moment she pulls out the dagger.

This thought confused Rossi's mind, as it's an ability with terrifying potential, and even if she were a professional assassin, no one would ever be able to stop her.

He thanked Rossi profusely for being just a foolish girl with no experience.

"Very excellent. You were able to stab me without being caught, but this is just the beginning. We'll continue this for a few more rounds."

And indeed, their training rounds continued. Luzia succeeded in stabbing her, but she failed a few times.

The same applies to Jelian and Aiden. They continued to fight fiercely, and they even used their powers. The tips of his hair were white, indicating that he had activated his power and increased his nuclear energy.

The same thing happened with Aiden. His entire arms were covered in intense green flames.

The training continued for a long time, until midnight.
