Silence fell over the ballroom and everybody looked up at the balcony where the royals of the castle descended into the ball room. The prince stood at the top of the stairs staring down at everybody with a look of disinterest and boredom. The moment people saw him, gasps and hushed whispers, went through the crowds like ripples.
'Is that the prince?'
'What's he wearing?'
'Such a bold outfit. Didn't know he was one to dress.'
'I thought he was cold and old?'
'Heard he's looking for a wife.'
Alex heard them all perfectly well and had to hide a smirk. He had to admit Kyle had taste.
