Chapter 152 - 《DXD: Infinite Loot System》Chapter 152: The Fated Duel

From the chaos of the Khaos Brigade's assault to Vali's open betrayal, crimson and silver-white figures now hovered high above Kuoh Academy—every eye fixed on them, the tension electric.

Excitement, dread, anticipation... The legendary clash of the Two Heavenly Dragons wasn't something most would ever witness in their lives.

"Red Dragon Emperor! Ever since our last fight, I've been waiting for this moment. Now, at last, it's time for our decisive battle!"

"Couldn't agree more, White Dragon Emperor!"

Their faces were hidden behind their armor, but the thrill and fighting spirit in their voices was unmistakable.

"We've never really introduced ourselves, have we? My name is Vali Lucifer."

"Lucifer... That's impossible!"

Vali's true name echoed through the air for the first time. Tenra had always known, but below, Sirzechs and the others stared up in shock.

"I carry the blood of the original Maou Lucifer. My father was the Maou's grandson, my mother a human. That makes me a half-blood—devil and human."

"With a human? No wonder we never knew..."

The crowd tried to process it, but awe and disbelief lingered in their eyes. A Lucifer heir and host to the White Dragon Emperor—what were the odds?

"I'm Tenra Kamiyo, fourth son of the Phoenix House. Another devil-human half-blood."

Tenra knew Vali had already dug up his background, but he declared it formally anyway.

"Tenra Kamiyo. Both half-bloods, both hosts to the Two Heavenly Dragons. You don't think that's fate?"

"So what?"

"Fate demands we fight!"

Vali's aura exploded outward, wild currents battering Tenra, but he stood unmoved in the sky.

"Albion, looks like it's that time again."

"This time, I'll win for sure, Ddraig."

"Hah! Still so cocky, Ddraig. But my partner won't lose either!"

From the jewels embedded in their armor, Ddraig and Albion's ancient voices rang out. They'd clashed countless times across the centuries, but never with stakes this high—never with hosts this powerful.

The strongest Red and White Dragon Emperors in history. Let the world witness which side truly deserved the crown.

Tenra raised a hand, pointing at Vali.

"Vali Lucifer, you know my Sacred Gear's true ability, don't you?"

"In this duel, if I lose, do what you want with me. But if you lose—your Divine Dividing becomes mine."

Tenra had decided long ago: if he won, he'd seize the White Dragon Emperor's wings for himself, uniting the power of both dragons.

Vali grinned, sharp and wild. "Arrogant as ever, Red Dragon Emperor. But that just makes me want to crush you even more."

"If you really can beat me, then Albion's yours!"

Winner takes all, loser loses everything. Vali understood the stakes—and, with his unshakable confidence, never doubted his own victory.

"So, the duel of the Two Heavenly Dragons—"

"Let's begin!"

With the world as witness, Tenra and Vali moved as one—streaks of crimson and silver-white light colliding in midair.

BOOM! BOOM!! BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

"Boost! Boost!!!"

"Divide! Divide!!!"

Above Kuoh Academy, Tenra and Vali tore into each other. Air currents exploded, clouds churned, and every clash sent shockwaves that nearly leveled the academy below.

"So this is the battle between the Red and White Dragon Emperors... It's unreal," Michael breathed, maintaining a barrier around the onlookers.

Azazel just grinned, unbothered. "Those two are a joke—if you call this a joke."

Asia, Yubelluna, and the rest stared anxiously skyward. Fear gnawed at them, but faith in Tenra's crimson figure never wavered.

Across the field, Katerea watched from behind her own barrier, lips curled in a cold sneer. So this was the so-called Two Heavenly Dragons? If she unleashed the serpent's power, she could do the same—or so she told herself.

CRASH!

Another collision. Vali's [Halving] ability instantly stole half of Tenra's energy, while Tenra's [Boost] had yet to reach its activation window. Overpowered, Tenra smashed through a school building, pulverizing it to dust.

Vali really didn't pull punches. Beneath his armor, Tenra grimaced, pain stabbing through him.

"Partner, he's coming again!"

Ddraig's warning rang out as Tenra staggered to his feet—just in time to see Vali diving at him.

Tenra triggered [Boost], restoring his lost energy in a flash. His lips twisted into a cold smile.

Time to return the favor. Tenra swept his leg across Vali's abdomen.

"Ugh—!"

Vali spat bitter fluid, his body sent flying.

Tenra pressed his advantage. Both palms out, he unleashed a barrage of magic bullets—thousands in an instant. The strained barriers shattered, explosions thundered, and Vali screamed as he was blasted tens of thousands of meters into the sky.

The low-altitude battle had already wrecked Kuoh Academy. If this kept up, the whole town would be at risk. Tenra spread his wings, becoming a crimson comet streaking upward.

BOOM! BOOM!! BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

High above, Tenra and Vali clashed again, crimson and silver-white figures weaving through the clouds like living lightning. Explosions echoed endlessly, the ferocity of their battle evident even to those who couldn't see it.

"Boost! Boost!! Boost!!!"

"Divide! Divide!! Divide!!!"

Fighting spirit soared, all restraint abandoned. The two dragons carved blazing trails through the sky, colliding again and again.

BOOM!!!!!

A blast like the birth of a new sun lit up the night, turning Kuoh Town bright as day.

Energy rippled outward from the center, air currents raging, everything in their path swept away and destroyed.

After what felt like an eternity, the chaos finally subsided. The sky was clear, stars scattered across a deep blue canvas. The clouds had been obliterated—leaving only two proud, solitary figures floating in the heavens.
