Chapter 229 - 《DXD: Infinite Loot System》Chapter 229: Akeno and Suzaku

Clothes lay scattered across the shrine room, the lingering haze in the air telling its own story.

Akeno rested in Tenra's arms, utterly spent—too drained to even lift a finger.

After everything, they'd finally crossed that last, sacred line.

"Akeno… you're truly, completely mine now."

She smiled faintly. "I've always belonged to you, Tenra…"

They kissed again, slow and gentle. Warmth and love flowed between them.

Much later—

"Akeno, don't chain yourself anymore. Whatever happens, I'll be by your side—always."

Tenra stroked her hair, voice soft.

"So live bravely. Your mother would want that."

Akeno's eyes shimmered with fresh tears. "You're so unfair, Tenra. Always saying things that make me cry."

She sniffled, then squared her shoulders.

"I'll try. I'll accept everything, face everything. No more running away."

"But if you ever leave me—if you ever abandon me—I'll fall apart. I swear I will!"

Tenra couldn't help but laugh, exasperated and fond. "Is that a threat, Akeno?"

"Absolutely! I'm threatening you!"

"I'm just a selfish, cowardly woman. If you want me to be strong, then you have to take responsibility!"

He groaned. "Ah, this is the world's greatest injustice. I really brought this on myself, didn't I?"

Akeno pouted. "What, you're not willing?"

"No, no, no—I'm super willing! I'll never, ever leave you, Akeno. Not for anything."

Seeing her finally smile, Tenra relaxed. If he'd pushed back even a little, Akeno might've gone full dark and castrated him on the spot.

But seeing her break free of her past, Tenra was genuinely happy for her.

"…Akeno, want to go again?"

He looked down at the beautiful girl in his arms, desire flickering in his eyes.

"I-I can't! Don't even think about it!"

She blushed, flustered.

Tenra grinned. "Trust me, Akeno. You can."

"Ahhh—!"

He couldn't resist. With a low growl, Tenra transformed again, and soon the shrine echoed with Akeno's cries—pain and pleasure tangled together.

Much later, Tenra carried Akeno from the room. She shot him a wounded look, and he winced.

Her first time, and he'd been so rough. What a bastard.

But honestly, who could blame him? Akeno was just too tempting.

Like Raynare and Kalawarner, Akeno's Fallen Angel blood made her a natural enchantress. She picked up magical skills instinctively, pulling Tenra deeper and deeper—always wanting more.

He used Virgin's Smile to heal her, and after a good rest, she finally regained some strength.

"Akeno, take me to the Himejima estate. You know the way, right?"

"Himejima? What are you planning?"

"Don't tell me you forgot? Your dear uncle humiliated me back then. Now that you've overcome your trauma, it's time I settled the score for that broken sword!"

Akeno couldn't help but laugh at Tenra's grudge. Even after all this time, he still remembered.

The Himejima clan was powerful, but with Tenra's current strength, there was nothing to fear. Besides, she needed to settle things herself. After a moment's thought, she nodded.

Tenra spread his crimson wings, scooped Akeno up, and soared into the sky. In no time, they hovered above the Himejima main estate.

The Himejima were one of Japan's five great clans—alongside the Doumon, Shinra, Kushihashi, and Naberius families. They'd served the gods, battled monsters, and secretly protected this country for generations.

Descending, Tenra and Akeno landed at the main gate, immediately drawing the attention of two guards.

"Lady Suzaku…?"

"Wait—who are you?!"

Spotting Akeno, the guards looked confused, then quickly grew wary.

"Akeno, you want to handle this, or should I?"

Tenra smiled at her, eyes glinting.

They weren't here for pleasantries—they were here to settle scores.

Akeno rolled her eyes, raised her hand, and conjured a sphere of lightning.

Crackling, the sphere split into two beasts, which roared and lunged at the guards.

"AHHH—!"

The guards were practitioners, but barely mid-class devil level. Akeno's lightning hit them full force, sending them flying with screams.

Tenra nodded in satisfaction. Now that Akeno had accepted her Holy Lightning, she was leagues stronger than before.

Hand in hand, they stepped forward—only to be stopped by a sudden barrier.

Of course. The Himejima estate would be protected by powerful wards.

But—

Tenra snapped his fingers, activating Sword Birth. A swirling gray vortex appeared overhead, and a massive demonic sword descended.

BOOM!

The barrier shuddered, glasslike cracks spidering across its surface before it shattered under the sword's impact.

"The barrier's down!"

"Who dares attack the Himejima clan?!"

"Guards! Get out here—now!"

A crowd surged from inside, faces furious.

To Tenra's surprise, their leader was a beautiful woman in her early twenties—long, glossy black hair, and a face strikingly similar to Akeno's.

"Akeno? It's really you!"

The woman's icy expression flickered with shock.

"Suzaku-neesan… It's been a long time."

Akeno stepped forward, offering a respectful bow.

Tenra's eyes narrowed. He'd heard Akeno mention her genius cousin, the current clan head—Suzaku. So this was her.

"Akeno—she's the Fallen Angel's bastard?!"

"Wasn't she supposed to be erased? How is she still alive?!"

"Damn Fallen Angel spawn—did she come for revenge?!"

The other Himejima members recoiled, eyes filled with disgust.

Though Akeno had made peace with herself, being called "Fallen Angel's bastard" made her pale.

Tenra stepped in front of her, eyes cold.

"Insult my Akeno again, and I'll slaughter every last one of you."

His smile was pure ice.

Killing intent radiated from him. Those who'd jeered at Akeno stumbled back, some too terrified to speak.

"Who are you?" Suzaku demanded, her gaze wary.

"Me?"

Tenra smiled.

"My name is Tenra Kamiyo. I'm Akeno's husband."
