Chapter 364: Vampire News
"Over here—move it!"
"Hey, Kuroka, you're blocking the screen!"
"Ophis-chan, save some for us!"
The living room was alive with chaos. Kuroka, Shirone, and Ophis huddled around the TV, fingers flying over controllers as they battled through another round of video games. Three little girls, utterly focused, faces lit by the glow of the screen.
Tenra watched them, grinning. Kuroka and Shirone were always a handful, but Ophis had surprised everyone—since joining the household, she'd learned to eat, drink, and play like any other kid. If the Khaos Brigade ever saw their former leader, the Dragon God herself, mashing buttons and shouting at the TV, they'd probably faint from shock.
"Tenra-senpai…"
"Meow…"
Koneko curled up against Tenra, her expression dreamy, a soft purr slipping out. Thanks to a certain someone, her heat cycle had come early, and these moments of closeness had become a routine—an important "job" for both of them.
Tenra's hand drifted gently across her silky skin, pausing here and there, his touch more than just affectionate. He traced her meridian points, guiding the flow of energy through her body. Normally, Kuroka handled this, but she was busy teaching Ni and Li new senjutsu techniques, so Tenra had stepped in.
Just then, Rias emerged from her room, her brow furrowed.
"Tenra, there's something you need to know."
She'd received a message earlier and had disappeared to deal with it. Now, seeing her serious expression, Tenra paused his ministrations and let Koneko rest.
"What's up?" he asked.
Rias took a breath. "You know the basics about the vampires, right? Centuries ago, a huge schism split their world—one side, the Tepes Faction, is all about male authority; the other, the Carmilla Faction, pushes for female supremacy."
"For hundreds of years, they've fought over whether a male or female True Ancestor should lead. And now, word is, the two factions are at war again."
She summarized the situation quickly, and Tenra's curiosity piqued.
"So what does that have to do with us?"
"Vampires are proud and insular. Even now, with all the alliances, they refuse to participate. But this time, the Carmilla Faction reached out. They want to talk—and they specifically requested a meeting with you and Gasper."
Rias looked troubled. She knew Tenra had rescued Gasper from vampire territory, but the details were murky.
Tenra was just as puzzled. He and Gasper had escaped from the Tepes side, not Carmilla's. Why would Carmilla want to see them?
Still, thoughts of Valerie—still stuck in vampire territory—made up his mind.
"When are they coming?"
"Half a month from now. If we can get the vampires to join the alliance, it'll cut down on a lot of pointless conflict. Sirzechs and the others are taking it seriously. Representatives from angels, fallen angels, and devils will all be there for the meeting."
"Got it. Gasper and I will be there."
Tenra nodded, and Rias headed off to send word to the Underworld.
He didn't know what the Carmilla vampires wanted, but it was a chance to learn more—and maybe finally solve the Valerie problem. Years ago, he'd been too weak to help her. Now, he was strong enough to face any vampire, even the True Ancestors themselves.
He smirked. Hopefully, the vampires would be smart enough to hand Valerie over quietly. If not, he wasn't above using force…
"DXD: Infinite Loot System"Meanwhile, in the Sancta Diabolus Ecclesia…
"Master… Master…"
"Ahhhh!"
The room was thick with the scent of indulgence. Katerea and Jeanne d'Arc screamed, collapsing to the floor in shuddering exhaustion.
"You both did well. Katerea, Jeanne—keep up the good work."
Tenra looked down, stroking their cheeks in approval.
"Yes, Master…"
Spent in body and soul, the two women gazed up at him, their devotion absolute. This wasn't abuse—it was a blessing, a reward for their loyalty.
All around, dozens of female magicians and uniformed girls from Jeanne's squad lay scattered, recovering from the latest round of "training."
Under Tenra's orders, Katerea and her magicians spread his faith worldwide, gathering believers. Jeanne's squad specialized in eliminating threats to Sancta Diabolus Ecclesia. Even Semilia and her team were busy, stationed in secret churches as holy maidens, brainwashing and strengthening the faith of new converts.
Katerea, Jeanne, and Semilia each led their own teams—cooperating, but independent. All reported directly to Tenra, returning periodically via teleportation to update him.
This time, only Katerea and Jeanne had come back; Semilia's group was still busy at the churches. After hearing their reports, Tenra was satisfied.
Jeanne and her girls were now his loyal hounds and blades. With their own power and the Holy Demon Swords he'd granted, they could handle any opponent short of Maou-class. Lately, they'd quietly eliminated many enemies, buying precious time for the cult's expansion.
Katerea had gone even further. During the recent Underworld chaos, she'd managed to recruit a handful of devil believers—a feat almost unheard of, given how rarely devils worship gods. Tenra didn't care about her methods; results were what mattered. The numbers were small, but every spark could start a fire.
For such capable and hardworking tools, Tenra was generous with his rewards. As long as they kept performing, he'd keep the blessings coming.
He left Katerea and Jeanne to rest, dressed, and stepped out into the hall—where Raynare, Mittelt, and Kalawarner, three fallen angel girls, had been waiting patiently for quite some time…
