Akeno's team raced through the dense forest, branches whipping past. Suddenly, a barrage of fireballs streaked toward them, burning through the shadows.
"Scatter!" Akeno barked.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Explosions tore through the undergrowth. The girls dove aside, the blasts shattering tree trunks and sending debris flying. Dust and smoke rolled over the ruined earth.
Irina scrambled to her feet, breathless, and turned to Xenovia, who'd shielded her from the worst of the blast. "Thanks, Xenovia-san."
Xenovia flashed a grin, hefting Durandal. "Don't mention it. We're teammates, right?"
She slid in front of Irina, sword raised, eyes scanning for the next threat.
Akeno regrouped the team, her voice low and steady. "Stay sharp, everyone."
They tightened formation, nerves taut. More than a dozen figures stepped out from the trees, lining up across from them.
Tosca led the group, her skirt swaying as she offered a polite smile. "Good day, Akeno-san. Ladies."
Behind her stood Minamikaze, Kalamaina, Siris, Maru, Bülent, Surya, Ni, Li, Mira, Iru, Neru, and the rest—Yubelluna's peerage, minus their Queen.
Sona and Rias both clenched their teeth, fury simmering beneath their composure.
He laughed, loud and unrepentant.
He leaned back, arrogance radiating. "Give up, Sona. You won't even get a chance to fight today. After I teach Rias's group a lesson, you'll obediently become my wife."

Back at the battle arena, Sona's expression was dark—three peerage members gone in an instant.

The host's voice echoed through the dimension. Yubelluna smiled, satisfied.
"Two of Lady Sona's [Bishops], retired!"
"One of Lady Sona's [Pawns], retired!"
"Yu...Yubelluna-sensei...?" Lying on the ground, she stared in shock as the illusion faded, revealing Yubelluna's true face. Disbelief filled her eyes as she dissolved into motes of light.
Ruruko screamed as she was blasted backwards.
BOOM!
A magic circle flared.
The lips curled into a cruel smile. "You're still too trusting, Ruruko-san. Don't be so quick to believe people."
"Tsubaki-sama?" Ruruko blinked, confused.
But as she drew close, Tsubaki raised a hand, pressing it against Ruruko's stomach.
"Thank goodness, Tsubaki-sama!" Relief flooded her. She rushed forward.
A familiar voice cut through the haze. Ruruko's heart leapt—she turned and spotted Tsubaki.
"Ruruko."
"Where did everyone go?" She tried wind magic to clear the fog, but every gap she made closed instantly, the mist relentless.
"Tsubaki-sama! Momo! Everyone!" Ruruko Nimura wandered, calling out into the swirling white. Her voice echoed back, hollow and lonely.
Within the mist—
Laughter erupted across the audience.
Azazel snorted. "That kid only picks beautiful women. They call him the 'Lecher Emperor' for a reason. You? No chance."
"Another legendary Longinus! Lady Sona's group is in real trouble!" Naud exclaimed, envy in his voice. "Just by joining Tenra-sama's peerage, you get gifted such powerful Sacred Gears? I wish I could join too!"
He continued, "The wielder can expand spiritual mist infinitely, sealing anything inside—even shifting victims into alternate dimensions. Yubelluna's only had the Sacred Gear for a short time, so she can't access its strongest powers yet. But even the basics are more than enough here. With Sona's peerage scattered, they'll be hunted down one by one."

In the audience outside the dimensional arena, gasps erupted as the fog spread across the screen.
A gust of wind swept the three into the fog, vanishing from sight.
"Understood!"
"Xuelan, Isabella—let's begin."
So easily scattered and trapped—Yubelluna's heart raced with exhilaration. This was the power Tenra-sama had bestowed upon her. Magnificent, overwhelming.
Not far away, Yubelluna watched with satisfaction. She could sense every lost peerage member in her mist, their cries for each other only driving them further apart. Some were mere meters away, yet hopelessly blind.
Panic rising, Tsubaki tried a communication spell—nothing. The magic fizzled, leaving her cut off from her team.
Visibility vanished. Sound faded. The world turned a featureless white.
Tsubaki landed, stunned. "What kind of magic is this?" She'd never seen Yubelluna cast anything like it.
Mist exploded outward, rolling over the forest like a living tide. In seconds, half the dimension was swallowed by thick, swirling fog.
But Yubelluna's lips curled into a sly smile. "You fell for it."
The ground erupted. Tsubaki and her team leapt skyward, barely dodging the explosion.
BOOM!
"Look out!" Tsubaki shouted.
With a flick of her wrist, a magic circle unfurled beneath Tsubaki's group.
She paused, a spark of pride in her eyes. "Because three is all we need."
Yubelluna smiled, lifting her staff. "Don't worry, Tsubaki-san. Only us."
"Yubelluna-sensei, just the three of you?" she asked.
Yubelluna, Xuelan, and Isabella blocked Tsubaki's path. Tsubaki's eyes narrowed, wary.
On the opposite side of the forest—
A chorus of voices rang out. "Yeah!"
She raised her hand. "Everyone—fight for our master!"
Tosca didn't flinch. "Facing you, Akeno-san, even we aren't sure we'll win." Her smile faded, replaced by steely resolve. "But don't think victory will come easy!"
If Yubelluna and her Rooks were here, things might get messy. But with their strongest fighters sent elsewhere, Akeno felt the odds tilt her way.
"So Yubelluna's team went to intercept the others," Akeno mused. She smiled, confidence flickering in her eyes. "Tosca, you're brave, but you won't stop us."
