Chapter 389 - 《DXD: Infinite Loot System》Chapter 389: The Final Feast

Tenra touched down, cradling the unconscious forms of Irina and Xenovia.

Rias and Sona landed hard, red and silver-white streaks against the scorched earth. Rias's voice was tight, her jaw clenched.

"Tenra, you could've blocked Irina and Xenovia's attack, couldn't you?!"

Tenra shrugged, a faint smile playing on his lips. "Of course. Susanoo wouldn't be cut down so easily. And if I'd used [Yata no Kagami], blocking them would've been child's play."

He glanced at the two fallen knights and chuckled. "But those two idiots fought so hard. I had to give them a little reward, didn't I?"

He ruffled Xenovia and Irina's cheeks with playful affection.

"Two [Knights] of Rias-sama have retired!"

The host's announcement echoed, and Irina and Xenovia vanished, teleported out of the battlefield.

Now, only three remained: Tenra, Rias, and Sona.

Tenra's gaze grew serious. "Rias, Sona… Honestly, knocking you out one by one hurts me as much as it hurts you. But if I don't give it my all, you'll never forgive me."

"So come on. Even if it breaks my heart, I'll see this fight through to the end. Bring out every trick you have left—I'll take it all, then put you both down."

Rias and Sona met his eyes—resolve burning in their stares.

"Tenra Kamiyo, fighting you is the most hopeless I've ever felt," Sona admitted, her voice steady. "But—"

"I'm not backing down!"

BOOOOOOM!

The battle horn sounded once more. Rias and Sona surged upward, crimson, silver-white, and pitch-black—all colliding in a final, explosive clash.

"Sona, let's go!"

He dove, meeting them head-on.

He paused, then grinned. "But I love your stubbornness."

Tenra sighed, almost fond. "You two never learn."

"We're not giving up!"

But Rias and Sona stared up, eyes shining with pure determination.

He'd bullied the princesses so badly, he really was the villain here.

"Rias, Sona, do you still not get it? No matter how hard you fight, it's pointless."

Tenra hovered above them, dark armor gleaming. He looked every inch the final boss.

With [Sacred Gear Plunder], Tenra's strength grew every time he claimed a new Sacred Gear. The higher the grade, the greater the boost. Since taking the [Twilight Holy Spear], his energy was absurd—at least ten times that of a normal Maou-class devil.

But it was true—if Sona hadn't let go, Tenra's insane power would have overwhelmed her completely.

Rias laughed despite herself. Sona was cracking jokes now.

Sona managed a shaky smile. "I'm fine… Just nearly exploded from Tenra Kamiyo's power, that's all."

Rias hovered nearby, concern etched on her face. "Sona, are you alright?"

Sona obeyed, venting the overflow through her wings. Her face, flushed from the strain, slowly returned to normal.

Albion's voice was sharp in Sona's ear. "Sona Sitri, Tenra Kamiyo's energy is too vast! Release the excess power, now!"

Rias released Tenra and dove, catching Sona before she hit the ground.

"Sona!"

Sona cried out, her body plummeting from the sky.

"Ahhhh…"

Sure enough—

He didn't resist. Let them try. His power wasn't so easily diminished.

Tenra knew exactly what they were doing—Rias immobilized him while Sona tried to drain his power with Albion's ability.

"Divide! Divide!! Divide!!!"

Perfect timing—while Rias pinned Tenra, Sona flashed behind him, pressing both hands to his back.

"Sona!"

Rias flushed, muttering curses. Who wants to get cozy with you, idiot?

Tenra blinked, half-amused, half-exasperated. "Rias, what are you doing? Everyone's watching. If you want to get cozy, let's wait until we're home."

Ignoring her injuries, she shot forward, wrapping herself around Tenra like an octopus.

Rias's eyes hardened. "Got it!"

Ddraig's voice rang out from the jewel. "Little princess, let's go again—create an opening for Sitri and Albion!"

Tenra laughed, exhilarated. "Now that's what I call a partner!"

Rias gritted her teeth, fighting to steady herself midair.

"Aaaah…"

Rias hurled a massive crimson energy sphere at Tenra. It hit dead center—but Tenra didn't even flinch. He swept his leg, sending Rias flying ten thousand meters across the sky.

CRASH!

The crowd was beside itself—faces flushed, voices raised in wild celebration.

"OHHHHHHHH!"

Energy beams crisscrossed the sky, dragons and wyverns clashing in a chaotic, spectacular dogfight. The heavens themselves seemed to shatter under the onslaught.

From the blood-red jewels of Vritra's armor, a swarm of mini-wyverns burst forth—thousands, ten times the number Rias and Sona commanded.

Tenra grinned. "My turn!"

Rias and Sona unleashed hundreds of mini-dragons, each one chirping and spitting energy waves at Tenra.

"Divide! Divide!! Divide!!!"

"Boost! Boost!! Boost!!!"

In sheer Sacred Gear performance, [Boosted Gear] and [Divine Dividing] were superior. But Rias and Sona were Ultimate-class Devils—Tenra, a Transcendent, outclassed them by two full tiers.

No fancy tricks—just raw power. Three streaks of light tangled and crashed in midair, each collision detonating with fire and thunder.

The arena outside the dimension exploded with cheers. The atmosphere was electric, every spectator on the edge of their seat.

"OHHHHHHHH!"

"This is a duel of kings—a banquet for royalty! Let the crowd roar!"

Their wings unfurled—crimson and silver-white. They blazed skyward, chasing Tenra into the night.

They traded glances—smiles rising, stubborn and bright. Both had reasons to fight. Both would give everything.

Rias snorted. "You're the one who wants to prove yourself to him. If you lose, you'll be more upset than anyone."

Sona smirked at Rias. "Go on, Rias. If you lose, you'll have to marry that villain, just like me."

He shot upward, a streak of darkness against the heavens.

"Come, my beautiful princesses! Let's make the final act of this feast the grandest of all!"

Tenra spread his new wings—pitch black, regal. He threw back his head and laughed, voice echoing across the sky.

Rias and Sona exchanged wry smiles. Sacred Gears, one after another—no wonder Tenra's old enemies had felt so helpless.

But tonight, [Boosted Gear] and [Divine Dividing] were off-limits. The rules made this the perfect time for Vritra's power to shine.

Tenra had once shared this Sacred Gear with Raynare, the fallen angel twisted by darkness. She'd developed this Balance Breaker in a desperate clash with Azazel, drawing out every ounce of Vritra's legendary power. It was formidable, but not quite on par with Ddraig or Albion—so Tenra rarely used it.

[Black Evil King]'s Balance Breaker: [Armor of Vritra].

With a sweep of his arm, black flames roared to life, swirling around his body. The fire condensed, then morphed, forging itself into a suit of jet-black armor studded with blood-red gems—a vision of darkness, evil, and a strange, magnetic beauty.

Tenra's grin widened. "That's exactly why I respect you."

"Me neither!" Rias echoed.
