Chapter 180 - Chapter 180 The So-called Report

"I really am destined for a life of toil," Ren muttered through gritted teeth, sitting at the table and looking at the more than half-finished report with a face devoid of life.

"Hurry up and write, it's already dark," Kosuke said, standing to the side and looking at Ren helplessly.

After all, it had been almost three hours since Ren started writing the four-thousand-word report, and he still had about five hundred words left.

This child, why hadn't he realized before that he hated writing reports so much?

"Yahoo!"

A quarter of an hour later, with a cheer, Ren threw down his pen, a look of relief on his face.

This damned report was finally done. His mood instantly brightened.

Just then, a Chunin walked into the tent, approached Yusuke Uchiha's desk, handed him a document, and respectfully said, "Yūsuke Uncle, the information on those three Bounty Hunters has been extracted and organized. Please take a look."

Yusuke Uchiha's eyes lit up. He took the document and nodded to the Chunin. "Alright, thank you for your hard work."

After the Chunin left, Ren and Kosuke immediately gathered around, their gazes all focused on the document.

The information on the document was short, only about three hundred words in total, and the three of them quickly finished reading it.

"Interesting," Kosuke said with narrowed eyes, his tone calm.

"I didn't expect our Konoha Ninja to be so valuable. Those guys from the Four Great Villages are really willing to pay," Yusuke Uchiha said softly, putting down the document.

"These guys must have too much money to burn. They're all so poor they're about to start a war, yet they're still playing this bounty game," Ren said somewhat helplessly.

The information above was not much different from what he had guessed earlier.

Behind it were the Four Great Villages playing tricks, pooling their money to buy the lives of Konoha Ninja. If they could be captured alive, that would naturally be best.

If a Leaf Jonin could be captured alive, the information obtained would be far more valuable than a few million Ryo.

These three were a small group, and because they were quite strong, they had a small reputation in the Bounty Hunter circle. After seeing the high bounties on Konoha Ninja, they became interested, and after a discussion, they went straight to the edge of the battlefield to hunt Konoha Ninja.

But unfortunately, they ran into Ren, the money-grubber.

"Yūsuke Uncle, since those guys are useless now, why don't you let me take them to the Exchange Office to exchange for some money? These guys are all Jonin-level, and they probably have a lot of enemies, so they should be worth something," Ren said happily to the two of them.

After all, it was about making use of waste, and his own wallet wasn't too full, so how could he miss such an opportunity to get money delivered right to his door?

"...Alright," Yusuke Uchiha agreed after a moment of thought, then turned to Kosuke and asked softly, "Teacher Kosuke, this matter is of great importance. I think it needs to be reported to the Village and then decided by Hokage-sama."

"Alright," Kosuke agreed without hesitation, his expression becoming serious.

If all the Four Great Villages were offering bounties on Konoha Ninja, then it would be more than just a hidden danger on their battlefield. Other battlefields would also be facing the hidden threat of these Bounty Hunters.

These guys were elusive and powerful, and under the temptation of huge bounties, they would definitely make a move on Konoha Ninja.

If Konoha suffered heavy losses and the battlefield was lost, leading to a complete collapse, that would be a huge problem.

Although the possibility of such a thing happening was very small, it was still a hidden danger that had to be guarded against.

"Without further ado, I'll be leaving now. Minato also needs to be notified," Kosuke said, standing up and walking to the table, then putting the intelligence document into his In arms and saying to the two of them in a deep voice.

"Alright, then we'll trouble Teacher Kosuke."

"Goodbye, Teacher Kosuke."

Kosuke nodded to the two of them and then left. The tent quickly became quiet again.

"Hmm, if there's nothing else, I'll head back first, Yūsuke Uncle," Ren said softly, yawning.

After all, he had just fought with Ao, Mei Terumī, and others at noon, and after returning, he hadn't rested for long before being sent out on a rescue mission again. After two battles in one day, plus that four-thousand-word report, even though Ren's physical strength had recovered, he was still mentally exhausted.

"Alright, you go back and rest."

"Thank you, Yūsuke Uncle."

Another unexpected windfall, hehehe, if it weren't for this report, today would have been too perfect.

After getting Yusuke Uchiha's permission, Ren happily walked out, thinking to himself with a sweet feeling.

But the next moment, Ren's steps faltered, and the expression on his face stiffened.

"Hmm?" Yusuke Uchiha had just sat down, ready to continue reviewing documents, when he saw Ren standing motionless in place, and he was immediately puzzled.

Before he could react, he saw Ren suddenly turn and rush to the nearby conference table, and then his whole body began to tremble constantly, which startled him.

"Ren, Ren, are you alright!" Yusuke Uchiha shouted in a low voice, standing up and using the Instantaneous Body Technique to appear beside Ren, looking at him anxiously.

"Un-Yūsuke Uncle," Ren's voice was tinged with a hint of a sob. He slowly picked up something from the table and said choked up, "My, my report!"

"Huh?" Yusuke Uchiha was instantly full of question marks. When he saw the densely written paper in Ren's hand, he finally reacted, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but twitch.

And Ren at this moment was practically on the verge of tears.

His hard work of four hours was left behind just like that. He should have known not to write it. Heaven knew how many brain cells and mental energy he had lost in those four hours.

"Cough cough, it's alright. Your report can be kept here with me for now. When the information is organized tomorrow, I'll have someone send it to the main camp together," Yusuke said, feeling a mix of amusement and exasperation, but his eyes also softened considerably.

No matter how much of a genius he was, he was still a child!

"Alright, then thank you, Yūsuke Uncle," Ren said, scratching his hair, feeling a little embarrassed.

"Alright, hurry back and rest."

After watching Ren leave the tent, Yusuke picked up Ren's report, returned to his desk, sat down, and began to read it, a faint smile on his face.

Ren, however, was completely unaware of these things. At this moment, he only wanted to quickly return to his tent and sleep until morning, to get this unpleasant day over with as soon as possible.

"I'm back!"

Ren rushed into the tent and immediately flopped onto the bed, then rolled over and burrowed into the covers, letting out a long sigh of relief.

"Phew, sleep, sleep. I'll go make money tomorrow!" Ren muttered, then closed his eyes. Not long after, even breathing sounds filled the tent.

The night passed without a word.
