Chapter 216 - Chapter 216: Organizing Intelligence

Ren looked around for a moment, then pointed at himself and asked Minato, confused.

"Me?"

Minato didn't speak, but his increasingly bright smile clearly indicated he was talking about Ren.

"Brother Minato, do you think the strength of both sides is proportional?"

Ren lowered his hand, his eyes wide with surprise as he spoke.

Both sides are Jinchuriki, that's true, but neither the Three-Tails nor the Chomei seems to be able to defeat the Eight-Tails in terms of raw strength. If they both went at it together, there might be a chance, but now they're both inside him, so how's that going to work?

"Hmm, Kumogakure's Eight-Tails Jinchuriki has only just begun to master the Tailed Beast's power. You are a Perfect Jinchuriki now, so holding him off shouldn't be a problem, right?"

"Huh?"

Ren paused, then reacted, and after a moment of thought, said uncertainly, "As long as I don't go into full Tailed Beast Mode, I think it should be fine."

"That's enough."

Minato nodded, sat back down in his original seat, and continued, "Tailed Beasts are generally used as weapons to deter other countries and are not easily deployed.

Even if they are used, if both Jinchuriki enter Tailed Beast Mode, the consequences will develop in an uncontrollable direction. This is something neither side wants to see."

"Understood!"

A look of understanding appeared on Ren's face.

Indeed, if a normal Jinchuriki dared to go into full Tailed Beast Mode, it would mean a rampage. And Tailed Beasts don't care about friend or foe. If two Tailed Beasts went berserk and then turned to attack humans together, that would be interesting.

"Alright, you go rest now. Come back here early tomorrow."

Minato nodded, picked up the pen on the table, and seemed ready to dive back into work.

"Okay, I'll go back and rest now. See you tomorrow."

Ren rubbed his eyes, stood up, and started walking out. When he was almost at the door, he paused and called back, "Brother Minato, don't forget my application!"

After saying that, Ren lifted the curtain and left directly, leaving Minato looking helplessly at the curtain.

"This kid."

Minato let out a wry laugh, lowered his head to look at the documents, and continued to review them. Looking at the mountain of documents piled next to the table, he knew he would be working overtime until midnight again tonight.

Meanwhile, Ren returned to his tent and immediately collapsed onto the bed. Two days of living in enemy territory was a novel experience for him, but compared to espionage, he preferred fighting.

"Ren."

Just as Ren closed his eyes, preparing to rest, Chomei's voice suddenly called out from within him, waking up his almost dormant consciousness. He then entered the sealed space.

"What's wrong, Brother Chōmei?"

Ren yawned, sat cross-legged on the water, and asked the two giant beasts in front of him, dazed.

"Are you going to fight the Jinchuriki of Gyuki?"

Chomei gently flapped the wings behind him, and the mouth under his armor looked at Ren, asking softly.

"Yes, if nothing unexpected happens."

Ren thought for a moment before responding.

"Is that so..."

Chomei fell silent, and Ren keenly noticed that Isobu next to him also seemed a bit down, lying motionless on the water.

"Uh, do you two not want to fight them?"

Ren wasn't stupid and immediately reacted, sweeping his gaze over the two beasts and asking cautiously.

"Yes, we don't want to fight him."

After all, no matter what, the bond between them as Tailed Beasts was there. If they had to hurt each other because of humans, they really couldn't do it.

"I have no problem with that."

Ren spread his hands and said softly.

"I think, at that time, you two can communicate with the Eight-Tails inside them. Neither of you makes a move, and let us Jinchuriki fight it out ourselves. That's not a bad idea either."

If neither side used the power of the Tailed Beasts, then Ren wouldn't be afraid of the opponent. With his Water Release and the opponent's Eight-Sword Style, it was hard to say who would win or lose.

"No problem!"

A hint of joy appeared in Chomei's tone, and even Isobu next to him brightened up, his Three-Tails gently swaying behind him, his state immediately different from before.

If they were to persuade the Eight-Tails not to make a move with them, it would be very simple.

After all, although the Eight-Tails' temper wasn't very good, that was only towards humans. Their relationships as Tailed Beasts were generally good.

Of course, except for that erratic tanuki and the tsundere fox.

"I thought it was something major."

Ren could no longer suppress his overwhelming drowsiness. He waved at the two of them, then stood up, ready to go back to sleep.

"I'm leaving now, two big brothers. Good night and sweet dreams."

After saying that, Ren exited the sealed space and, carrying his long-suppressed drowsiness, hugged his blanket and immediately fell asleep.

When he woke up again, the sun was already high in the sky.

"Mm, comfortable!"

Ren put down the towel in his hand, and after washing up, he immediately felt invigorated.

"Hmm, the intelligence should be out by now."

Ren murmured as he lifted the curtain and stepped out of the tent, walking towards the command tent.

The intelligence brought back yesterday should be mostly sorted by now. He wondered if there would be anything that interested him.

He arrived at the command tent, where the guards at the entrance had changed. It seemed the two from last night had rotated shifts.

After applying and a brief wait, Ren entered the tent again.

As soon as Ren entered, he saw Fugaku and Minato standing in front of a map, discussing something. Noticing him enter, they turned their gaze towards him.

"Brother Minato, Uncle Fugaku."

Ren raised his hand in greeting, and inadvertently noticing the clean tabletop nearby, he couldn't help but ask in surprise, "Hmm? Where are those documents?"

"They've already been reviewed."

Minato nodded with a smile, then picked up a scroll from the small conference table in front of him and tossed it to Ren.

"Catch."

"Huh?"

Ren subconsciously reached out and caught the scroll, then leaned against the conference table and opened it to read.

There weren't many words, only about four or five hundred characters, and Ren finished reading it quickly.

"How is it? Any thoughts?"

Fugaku crossed his arms, looking at Ren, who had put down the scroll, and chuckled softly.

"I just want to say, this intelligence was worth bringing back."

A look of delight appeared on Ren's face as he chuckled softly.

This scroll contained the intelligence that Ren and Aoki had brought out from the Cloud Hidden Great Camp.

It detailed Kumogakure's personnel distribution, shift rotation patterns, and advantageous terrain occupied along the Border Line within the Land of Hot Springs.

Previously, due to troop numbers, the Konoha Ninja were pushed back to the Land of Fire's border, causing the flames of war to spread to the northern regions of the Land of Fire.

But with this information, they could destroy Kumogakure's deployment along the border of the Land of Hot Springs and the Land of Fire in one fell swoop, bringing the battlefield back into the Land of Hot Springs. This would divert the war elsewhere, thereby preserving the Land of Fire.

Although it was unfair to the Land of Hot Springs, that was war.
