Chapter 193 - Chapter 193: The Broken Weapons

The prehistoric island, Little Garden. A lively banquet raged around a roaring campfire.

Dorry and Brogy both boasted their roasted dinosaur meat was superior. Unable to settle the culinary debate, they resorted to a drinking contest, determined to crown a victor one way or another. Despite being over a century old, the two legendary warriors bickered like overgrown children.

"Dorry, Brogy, where are your weapons?" Bardock asked, eyeing their empty hands.

"Gababababa," Brogy chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. "We accidentally broke them."

For a giant warrior of Elbaf, failing to protect one's weapon was a massive humiliation.

Dorry quickly stepped in to explain. "It happened about six months after we swapped our gear. During that specific duel, both of us felt victory was within reach, so we pushed ourselves to the very brink of exhaustion. You know how it is. Without Haki left to shield the steel, the moment the broadsword and battleaxe clashed, they shattered. A real shame, losing the weapons that kept us company for a hundred years."

Dorry didn't just mourn the broken steel; he mourned the missed opportunity. That clash was the closest they had ever come to breaking their century-long tie.

Now, stripped of their signature arms, the two giants fought with bare knuckles and dented shields, dragging their rivalry right back into a perfect stalemate.

"Tell you what," Bardock promised. "Next time I visit, I'll bring you both brand-new, custom-forged weapons."

"Truly?! That's fantastic news! Come, Dorry, let's toast to Bardock!" Brogy hoisted a massive vat of booze.

"Aye! A toast is in order!" Dorry raised his own vat.

"Then let's all drink! Cheers!" Bardock shouted.

Every single person around the fire—whether their cups held rum, juice, or milk—raised their glasses high and downed their drinks.

The banquet stretched long into the night. Dorry and Brogy successfully drank themselves into a stupor. Unfortunately, since both giants furiously chugged their vats to avoid being out-drank, no one actually noticed who passed out first.

The pirates, meanwhile, remained wide awake. After cleaning up the campsite, they split into teams to explore the island.

Little Garden was a living time capsule. Dinosaurs, mammoths, saber-toothed tigers, and ancient flora that had gone extinct everywhere else thrived here. It was a paradise for explorers.

Even Enel found himself caught up in the excitement, zipping across the jungle in flashes of lightning to observe the bizarre wildlife.

However, Chopper and Bepo showed the most enthusiasm. The two animals dragged Law, Penguin, and Shachi through the dense brush, marveling loudly every time they spotted a prehistoric creature.

The giants slept off their heavy hangovers, finally stirring the following morning.

"Gababababa, that hit the spot! When was the last time we got this drunk?" Brogy mused, stroking his thick beard.

Dorry stroked his own long beard, narrowing his eyes as he dug through his memories. The last time they drank like that was nearly a century ago. Back then, they still co-captained the Giant Warrior Pirates. They had just slaughtered two Island-Eaters, throwing a massive feast where the entire crew drank until they dropped.

Shortly after that exact party, they arrived on this island and began their endless duel.

BOOM!

The central volcano erupted, spewing a thick plume of ash into the sky.

"Dorry!" "Brogy!"

Without a second thought, the two titans roared each other's names and charged. They collided in the center of the jungle, trading heavy, earth-shaking blows.

The commotion instantly drew the crew's attention. Gathering at a safe distance, they watched the giants brawl.

A giant's combat style lacked flashy techniques. Stripped of their sword and axe, they relied purely on raw, kinetic brawling. Fist met flesh, and the resulting shockwaves devastated the surrounding landscape.

Arlong and his fellow hostages watched the spectacle in stunned silence. While Bardock's crew had overpowered them yesterday, witnessing the raw, unadulterated physical might of the giants delivered a much harsher reality check. Fish-men proudly boasted possessing ten times the strength of an average human, but compared to the titans of Elbaf, that genetic advantage meant less than nothing.

Unsurprisingly, Dorry and Brogy fought to yet another draw.

Having pressing matters to attend to, Bardock didn't linger. Once the giants caught their breath, he bid them farewell, reaffirming his promise to deliver their new weapons.

Under the watchful eyes of the two towering warriors, the White Dragon took to the skies, setting its course for the Drum Kingdom.
