The Sword-Sea Emperor stepped out, the Cursed Swords circling him shrieking like starving beasts.
He swept his gaze across the surroundings, frowning.
At first, he thought he had mislocated his position.
Without a second thought, he tore through the void again and stepped into the Gate of the Universe, heading for a more distant location.

He reopened the gate in confusion and found himself back at the same spot!
His eyes narrowed slightly, a rare trace of doubt appearing.
