The whole place fell silent in an instant. The air seemed to freeze, and everyone stood still, staring dumbfounded at the scene before them. What was going on? Wasn't Jaxon trained in martial arts and capable of fighting off a bear with his bare hands? How could this be happening?
Even Jaxon himself was terrified beyond belief. At first, he thought the bear was the same guy from before, trying to show off again. But upon closer inspection, he realized that the fur color was completely different. And then, the bear's paw came down hard on him.
Oh my god, it was a real bear!
The blood from earlier must have attracted it. Jaxon cursed himself for playing around like that. "Run! Run for your lives!" he screamed as he ran away as fast as he could.
The others were bewildered and some even asked, "Jaxon, didn't you just scare off a bear? Why are you so scared now? We can all work together and chase it away!"
