As Kane spoke, he emphasized the word "money" to remind Grant that he was only able to attend the auction because of his wife's connections.
"I didn't expect you to purposely wait for us here, it's quite boring," Grant said, not mincing his words and exposing Kane's intentions.
It was obvious to anyone that the two of them couldn't have coincidentally bumped into each other twice in a row. Kane was clearly waiting for them.
Kane's eyes turned cold, feeling insulted by Grant's words.
"Why would I wait for you? What right do you have to call me a freeloader?" Kane said coldly. "People like you are a disgrace to men. You don't deserve to be called one."
"Sir, do you really need to comment on my husband like that?" Daisy couldn't stand to hear Grant being insulted and spoke up.
Grant comforted her with a smile. "Don't mind him, honey. He's just sour grapes."
