Nass and her subordinates finally found an inn, had dinner and freshened themselves up after the long day they've had, and now they were finally ready to talk about all they've found out in not just the kingdom they are in, but also the entire Demonoid continent.
"lady Nass, you have been acting very strangely since you came to this nation, are we missing somethings?… are things that different from when you remembered them?" one of Nass's subordinate asked, feeling left out and confused by Nass's strange demeanor…
"oh you have no idea" she said, still processing all the surprising news she had gathered…
"I don't think it will be that easy for lord Jace to conquer the Demonoid continent anymore, with how united they are now"…
"so all this wasn't normal?" …... "no, here in the Demonoid continent they live by one rule, and that's survival of the fittest, the strong rule, while the weak submits or perish… they detest Demonoid of other nations, and they are always fighting to take control of one another lands — this place was hell if you didn't have power… but now, it's like all that never existed, there are less frowns and more smiles, and the most shocking discovery among all we've learned today, they have established friendly relations with other Demonoid nations, and they are sharing resources — something that can get any demon, no matter their status killed for treason, is now the norm… completely unbelievable" Nass explained still in utter disbelief of what she discovered…
"oh my… this is something the young master has to know right?" ..…. "yes, but… breaking it to him is the hard part, not sure of the mood he will be receiving this Intel with… this is going to be a long mission" said Nass with a huge sigh, as she gazed at the distance through her room window, watch the sunset.
Deep in the forest of Codar, prince Tazz was over seeing the training routine Kolpa set his troops up with before he left, they were looking stronger, more organized, and they truly looked like a real threat.
As prince Tazz looked on, he suddenly felt the wind around him, as it it was going to whisk him away — when he looked again he saw Kolpa beside him, it took him by surprise a little, but he quickly composed himself…
"Sir Kolpa, you are back so soon" ..…. "yes I am, how have their preparation been going so far?" Kolpa asked as he also looked on…
"very well, way better than I could ever imagine, all thanks to you Sir Kolpa" prince Tazz blissfully replied — Kolpa nods in approval, as he was about to speak, prince Tazz interrupted, instantly irritating Kolpa, but he had to just control himself, which he did…
"I have a proposition" the prince sef himself up perfectly, as those words peaked the interest of Kolpa, making him forget he was ever irritated…
"my sister and some of the important knights are planning a trip away from Righteous, and by the sound of it they will be away for a while, longer than their trip to Warmark… Sir Kolpa, this is our chance to take the kingdom, no one will be around to pose a proper challenge against our troops, by the time my sister will return, we would have gotten a strong hold, what do you think?" prince Tazz proudly narrated his plans to Kolpa, confident he would like it too — Kolpa stood, thinking for a while about what prince Tazz said to him, before finally speaking…
"do you know where they are headed?… or what is their objective?, is it like another training trip or something else?" Kolpa asked on, making his desperation show a little, before he composed himself…
"I need to know this to better figure out if it will be a good idea to invade or not, this isn't something we can just rush into"
"right!… well I think they mention they were heading to Mist: the Island of Fiery Mountains, but unfortunately I do not know the purpose of that journey — but with the people involved in it, we can't rule out the possibility of it being for training purpose, so I say this is our chance to take the kingdom, and not wait for them to return stronger" prince Tazz stood, eyes wide, veins bulging and a smile that could barely contain his excitement — Kolpa stared him down, looking really disguised, as he could practically feel the greed and impatience in the eyes of prince Tazz.
"{ugh, this fool is useless… what on earth could those pest be planning now… sign… I swear it's like since the appearance of Lord Jace's brother we have had double the work… I must go inform lord Jace of this now} — young prince, your idea isn't a bad one, but as I said, it won't be a good idea to rush in without a proper strategy in place, there is a lot to prepare for in order to invade a nation, especially a great nation like Righteous, so you will have to stay put till I go do all that".
"but sir Kolpa, we don't have time for all that, as I said the important military figures that would have pose a real threat are all leaving, this nation will be practically defenseless, we have to strike now, our troop are ready and powerful, this is a huge opportunity I do not want to miss out on" prince Tazz stubbornly argued, standing his ground…
"{this complete idiot!!… human are so useless, utter trash}" Kolpa thought, taking a deep breathe to calm down before speaking…
"young prince, I won't be long, this is Righteous we are talking about, not just any old tiny nation — and besides with what happened in Warmark a couple of weeks ago, it looks like the nation is on high alert, as the prince am sure you too should have noticed — any wrong move would destroy everything we have been working on, you asked for my help, and with my experience am giving it to you, you just have to trust me, I will be leaving right away so I can be back on time to help with the invasion, just be patient young prince this kingdom is already yours" as Kolpa concluded he disappeared in a flash, leaving prince Tazz alone with his thought…
"{Sir Kolpa, thank you for all your help, you have been a great benefactor to my course… but I will now take it from here, I can't afford to miss this opportunity on something as stupid as reconnaissance when the heavy hitters will be out… I am taking this kingdom now}" prince Tazz thought, with a very psychotic smile, as he basked in the anticipation of finally becoming king.
"I have a feeling that pea brained prince will ignore my advice, humans are so loathsome (laughs) — well we gods aren't one to talk tho… I guess I will use his mulish behavior to my advantage, but first I have to get this latest Intel to Lord Jace, I hope it won't be like last time, it was too emotionally draining to find out he already knew what I was so eager to tell" Kolpa said to himself as he continued making his way to Menssai, using his godly gift of speed.
Preparations for the mission at Mist were well underway by Jericho and his companions, they trained not just the elite knights, but also themselves.
Jericho kept on working on the ability he sensed back at Warmark, trying to understand it functions more, and how to use it efficiently, while Erica had a lot of time with the sword she got from princess Clover back at Warmark, learning how to hold back with it, and merging it with her unique fighting style.
Some few weeks passed and they were ready to make the journey to Mist, Erica appointed two qualified knights to take charge of things — and true to the words of Kolpa, the security around the castle was a lot tighter than usual, as if they were expecting something to happen, or just because they were not taking any chances as the commander won't be available for a while, and they don't want anything to surprise them, with the disaster that occurred in Warmark fresh in their minds.
The vehicle Clover made for Jericho was prepared and Alice, William, Erica and Jericho all got in — for William and Alice it was a new experience for them, as they haven't really gotten that close to the vehicle before… the interior took their breathes away, it was so warm and soft, and it had a lot of strange levers and buttons, to them it was truly a thing of beauty.
Jericho processed to start up the vehicle, and it sounded so silent, as if it wasn't even on, he infused it with his soul energy, then pulled a little lever, and then they were finally on their way, moving faster than they had every experienced before, it was a new sensation, but one they needed to get used to, as that will be their future.
