A year has passed since the Uzumaki clan was wiped out. So far, no other Uzumakis have been rescued and brought to Konoha.
Kushina has just become a genin, and started doing the D-rank missions.
'Hey!'
She shouted in her mind while doing the dishes in her house.
'What?'
'Do you have a family?'
'8 younger siblings. I can beat them all by myself at once.'
Kurama sounded really smug at that.
'Sadly, they all are also sealed in stupid humans. Though their humans probably aren't as dumb as you.'
'Hey!'
To Kushina, she was starting to feel that she was talking to a grumpy geezer. Something like a, perhaps, family?
To Kurama, time was passing painfully slow. He was still in a lot of pain.
But he kept responding to Kushina to slowly build trust.
All for the day he will be free.
But today was his lucky day.
Kushina smelled something, and started feeling sleepy.
She stopped doing the dishes and went to sleep, falling into an unconscious state.
3 'Kumo' ninjas arrived and took her away.
Kurama had noticed it, and was grinning. The day has finally come.
The 3 'Kumo' ninjas were actually Kumo ninjas. Not Konoha ninjas like many theories.
To avoid detection, they haven't molded chakra for days and were walking away from Konoha on foot, while another Kumo ninja squad is running away like actual ninjas, drawing attention to themselves by having a Shadow Clone disguised as Kushina with her clothes with her scent.
What Kumo ninjas hadn't expected was that Kushina had incredible resilience, both due to being special even amongst the Uzumakis, and being the Jinchuriki of Kurama.
The sleeping gas's effect wore off in just two hours, and realising the situation she was in, Kushina started secretly dropping few hair regularly while pretending to be still unconscious.
'Kurama! I am being kidnapped!'
'Dumbass.'
'That's not the time! I don't want to become a baby making factory!'
'I guess you will be enslaved just like me then. Know Pain. Feel Pain. Understand Pain.'
Kushina felt guilty as Kurama said that, and fell silent.
But surprisingly, Kurama sounded kind the next moment.
'Nothing will happen. These are actually Konoha ninjas. Look, instead of escaping fast,they are taking their good time leisurely walking.
It is the classic setting for a hero in shining armour...shining headband to appear and save the girl. Making her fall in love with him.
And thus, making the stupid dumbass loyal to Konoha.'
Kurama has already sensed Minato coming close.
And sure enough, after a while, Minato appeared, silently took down the three ninjas who were tasked with something as important as kidnapping Konoha's jinchuriki, and saved Kushina.
And instead of feeling butterflies in her stomach, she felt it churning.
Was it all just... an act to make her loyal to Konoha?
She struggled in Minato's arms, and got off from the princess carry.
"How did you find me!?"
"I followed the trail of your hair."
"No, I am asking how did YOU find me!?"
It could have been any other ninja. Maybe someone older. But why was the one who rescued her Minato, her classmate in the academy who stalks her and repeatedly tries to talk to her?
"I... just found your hair."
Minato didn't know what to say. Why is she suddenly getting mad at him? The village was in chaos, and he found her hair, so he followed the trail while panicking.
He even forgot to inform Jiraiya-sensei or any other ninjas for that matter.
The innocent Minato was labelled as a conspirator in Kushina's mind.
She didn't feel like she belonged to Konoha before. But now, she knew that she didn't belong to Konoha without being a weapon.
She became disillusioned, feeling trapped in a puppet show.
She felt... hollow.
Kurama pulled her inside the mindscape. And seeing Kushina's hollow eyes, he felt like his plan worked.
With just a few words, he has taken away her most important emotional support, Minato.
"I guess they tried to fill your heart with 'love' too. That Mito bitch also spouted nonsense about love and understanding while chaining me down.
I guess you finally realise that we both are enslaved and chained down huh?
Tch. I don't want to have anything in common with you dumb idiot."
Kurama turned away his face, appearing like a tsundere.
"Want me to kill this guy? They think that I am a monster, so I wouldn't mind taking the blame."
He wasn't going to underestimate Minato though. That guy is more of a protagonist than Naruto. Who knows when he will Talk-no-jutsu her.
Kushina didn't respond, and taking her silence as approval, Kurama started to expend his chakra for the first time.
Red chakra enveloped Kushina, raising her in the mindscape and putting her on his head as he broke the stakes pinning him down with ease this time, and getting up. He was still tied to a boulder though, with the remaining stakes still piercing and binding him to the boulder.
Kushina felt Kurama's fur warm and comforting as she laid on his head.
In the real world, a terrifying red chakra enveloped Kushina's body.
One tail.
"Kushina! What's happening!?"
Two tail.
"Kushina! Can you hear me!?"
Three tail.
"Come to Konoha! I am taking you to the doctor!"
Four tail.
Five tail.
Minato, not even knowing what a bijuu and jinchuriki is right now, got his heart pierced by a five-tail cloaked Kushina without being able to react due to the sheer speed.
His eyes widened, and blood started flowing from his heart and mouth.
Minato died, and Kurama stabbed him in the head, and then stopped controlling Kushina's body, letting his chakra slowly stop flowing into her body.
He then kicked her out of the mindscape.
Kushina mind settled in place, and she saw Minato brutally murdered in front of her.
"I... I killed him!?"
"Just blame it on me. No one will blame you for it.
Afterall, they already think that I am a monster."
