•Literally Nothing Happened•
Liam sat quietly, staring at his feet as he allowed his thoughts to settle.
The more he thought about it, the more he realized how unnecessarily reactive he had been about what happened between Micah and him.
He had spent so much time overthinking every little detail, questioning Micah's words, his expressions, and even the way he looked at him that he had almost forgotten something important.
He was the one who had developed these feelings.
Micah hadn't asked him to.
And as far as he knew, Micah hadn't done anything wrong.
So why was he acting as though something terrible had happened?
Liam let out a quiet sigh, turning onto his side.
It wasn't as if he had committed some unforgivable crime. He liked his best friend more like Leo's bestfriend. That was all. It might have been unexpected, confusing, and a little embarrassing, but it wasn't the end of the world.
Besides, his feelings were his own. Whatever he felt for Micah was something he needed to understand for himself. There was no reason to let it affect his relationship with Leo or risk making things uncomfortable between the three of them.
They had been friends for years. Their friendship meant a lot to him, and he wasn't about to ruin it simply because his heart had decided to become troublesome.
Then, almost suddenly, something clicked.
Let's not act awkward.
That was what Micah had told him.
At the time, Liam had been too caught up in his own emotions to understand what Micah meant. He had taken those words, turned them over in his mind a hundred times, and somehow managed to make himself feel even worse.
But now, looking at it from a different perspective, he finally understood.
Literally, nothing happened.
Liam blinked at the ceiling.
Nothing had changed between them. Micah was still Micah, and he was still Liam. They were still childhood friends. They could still talk, and spend time together as they always had.
The only difference was that Liam now knew something about himself that he hadn't known before.
He had feelings for Micah.
And honestly, was that really such a big deal?
He didn't have to make a confession. He didn't have to demand answers from Micah or force him to acknowledge something that Liam himself was still trying to understand.
He could simply take his time.
If Micah didn't feel the same way, then he would deal with that when the time came.
For now, he wanted to understand his own feelings without letting them get the better of him.
"I see…" he murmured to himself.
A small smile appeared on his face.
"I'm fine. You don't need to worry about anything," Liam said, looking directly at Leo, who had been watching him with a concerned expression.
Then he noticed the tiredness written all over his twin brother's face.
"You look exhausted. You should get some rest, brother."
Leo blinked.
For a moment, he simply stared at Liam, as though he were trying to determine whether his brother had suddenly been replaced by someone else.
Just a while ago, Liam had been acting like someone who had lost his entire world. He had barely spoken, had looked uncomfortable whenever Micah was around, and had seemed lost in thoughts he clearly didn't want to share.
Yet now, he was sitting there calmly, reassuring Leo and even worrying about his well-being.
What exactly had happened?
Leo didn't know, but he wasn't complaining.
He was simply relieved to see his brother looking a little more like himself.
A faint smile tugged at his lips.
"Yeah, I've been out for hours trying to do my best with this art project," he replied, leaning back slightly. "I'm exhausted."
Liam nodded sympathetically.
Leo stood up and walked over to him before reaching out to pat his hair affectionately.
"Well, I'm glad you're fine. And I missed you."
Liam's face immediately heated up.
"Stop it!" he protested, batting his brother's hand away. "Go shower and sleep. I need to study."
Leo's smile widened.
"All right, all right. My lovely twin brother's wish is my command."
He paused dramatically.
"My nerdy little brother."
"Ahhh… Leo!"
"Haha!"
Leo burst out laughing and immediately took off before Liam could retaliate.
He wasn't stupid enough to remain within reach of an embarrassed Liam.
Not when he knew exactly how his brother would react.
